The red cats are great for the money, almost got one but got lucky and I was able to get a trx4 sport. Great video my man, that will help some people starting out for sure.
I just did this, but I don’t understand why the driveshaft needs to be cut. It didn’t bind up or catch. If anyone is watching this, make sure you don’t strip the driveshaft pin, as some people have trouble with it. You will also need two extra nuts to mount the shocks
If you look on the website the photos the links are in total different location compared to manual and what you did 😂 would that be the extended wheel base? Either way 🤷♂️🤷♂️ good. I know old video but im dusting off the gen 7
Hey brother, thanks for the comment. It's working so far for me lol. Now I don't have very much experience with a bunch of tires, but the hyraxes I compete with are great and the mounting part of the rubber is pretty tight. Here is an affiliate link, plus the foam is much better then stock. Good luck and thanks for asking! amzn.to/3J4iPyA
Appreciate the comment Scott. You know it doesn't worry me because wet is never the plan lol, but I could see it being an issue for sure. Although I have seen it run under water, I think the reasoning there is no case, maybe due to the overall price? If so then I'm totally cool with that too! I mean a ready to run under $200 is pretty groovy 😎 Thanks brother
Great video, the Gen7 was my first crawler and this brings back memories! Check out the video where I used the BPC chassis to build a cool LCG rig! th-cam.com/video/KQjPPDHAivI/w-d-xo.html
Big help, man. Got all this set up while I replaced the axle gears on my sons rig. Huge difference. Thank you. 🤘🏻
Great video . Im going to take mine apart and follow your steps. I appreciate you sharing this.
You got it brother, really helped!!
Nice shirt on this episode and great tutorial on how to correct the Gen 7
Thanks brother, appreciate the support.
The stock tires are awesome after sipeing with a Dremel and installing crawler innovations two stage foams.
Crawler innovations had got some great stuff! Playing with some of there Lil novas now!! Ha ha thanks brother
Great Tutorial and very cool info! Thk's for the Share!
Thank you!
@@arkansasrcnewbie You're Welcome my Friend! 🐼 Have a great Day! Cheers!
Just did this on my Gen7 Pro. Mounting points were slightly different in the manual for the Pro. After doing it, it changed the whole truck
I know right! Such a difference, hopefully you cut your driveshaft lol.

I say you hit the jackpot brother lol, thanks for the inspiring comment. I am glad I did it justice
Nice upgrades enjoy your weekend 👌
Thank you! Filmed a new episode over the weekend and I hope you enjoy it tonight!! 😀
22$ shocks at 110mm did wonders for the flex also put on a aftermarket bumper to help with the servo rub
Gen 7 pro BTW
Thanks brother, will look into it.
Thanks for the great info.
You got it brother, thanks for watching. Super improvement 👏

Hopefully people read this, my driveshaft was colliding.
If you wanted the top link to the furthest forward postion and a bigger pinion you could always put the link screw from the inside yeah ?
Yeah, I could see that. That is a right squeeze but that's a good option 👌

Dude dust it off! Lol
I belive my wheelbase is a 12.3
Great video, just subbed!
Thanks brother 🙏
Learning as well as you go dude. What tires would you think would work better with the stock wheels?

Well I did set mine up like yours and it ended up putting too much attention on the steering arm and broke. Got the aluminum on the way
Awesome, my knuckles broke too...😬
Did you do the steeering tip. Where you trim off a piece to get a sharper turn
You know I just moved the servo horn linkage mount. It worked well
Awesome tutorial. How do you feel about not having the ESC in a waterproof case? Just wondering why redcat didn't put one on.

@@arkansasrcnewbie definitely can’t beat the price! 👍🏻
According to the box the ESC is waterproof, so probably doesn't need a case
I messed up so bad 😂
🤣🤣🤣
This looks really helpful but you are going a little too fast so it’s hard to tell where the piece originally was and where you moved it.
Can you tell me if a Everest 10 body fits on a gen 7 pro ?
I sure can't brother, sorry!
No way wolftick!!
Hey BROTHER!! 🤣🤣😎😎😎
I noticed the same thing 😂 had to check at the channel name again
Yooo 😁
YOOOOOO!!!
hey will this also work on the pro version
Good point man 👍I figured it would work, good to know it does.

Will do brother, thanks for the comment and view! Redcats a sweet starter
link a jizz jizz. wow any one who listens to this will gain chromosomes. those things connecting the axles to the chassis are just called links
🤣🤣 Man thanks for heads up and the view! Hope to see you here for the next one👍
