Its up 1.2 liters of displacement that's a pretty big difference in cubes. I mean the fact the races turn out like this pretty close to equal modded with the mustang similar weight and down 1.2 liters shows how badass the 5.0 is. I love how you clarify na. Don't want none of the 5.0 boosted vs boosted the camaro is gonna need more mods in that scenario.

@@johncena-hq1ti I’m talking without boost and NOS😀. Again, not one. I even seen a scat with a 100 shot get gapped by a stock hellcat. Maybe with 500lbs shaved off yeah but just seats removed, no. That’s the issue with mopars, they’re too heavy. They lose weight and they’ll be true contenders cause the 6.4L is a great platform in light weight vehicle.
A stock Scatpack on a tire is faster than the 5.0 and SS in the 1/4 mile. same track.. same day. Also there are NA, full bolt on, with cam, challengers running 10.6x’s. That’s faster than a hellcat, and just as fast or faster than a red eye. I’ve gapped plenty of near stock ( even with drag radials) Gen3 Mustangs. On my page, I raced a Gen 3 rousch supercharged Gen 3, and only lost by .15 seconds. That being said, Scatpacks aren’t the best at roll “Racing”, and stock vs stock will usually lose by about 2-3 cars. to say they are not even in the same league is just plain stupid.
Considering the camaro is stock heads, cam, and intake manifold it did really well against that CJ mustang. Wanna see this camaro go against some other fast cars!

If that Camaro had a high lift Camshaft it would have been game over. A lot of people are sleeping on the 6th Gen Camaros, there is no replacement for displacement and in the N/A game the Camaro is hard to beat.
DOHC is supposed to be faster top end but Ford just can’t manage to pull it off lmaooo id take a camaro any day of the week over a mustang based on the interior alone

Normally I would agree but in this video the camaro pulled a half car length the first 2 races from 130 to 150 and only on the last race did the camaro get the jump yet the mustang reeled him in. Weird race but good after 150 the camaro lays over though while the mustang keeps pulling. What I want to see is these 2 cars do a dig so we can see who is faster in that category because roll racing caters to the coyote.

You Ford fanbois are hilarious 😂. For one no one mentioned a hi ram. For 2 putting a manifold on your isn't only about whp gains. It's also about where it moves the power band. With the lt2 manifold the camaro will do much better on the top end because it moves the rpm range. Plus the manifold itself gains nearly 20whp. And before you go nuts I also agree the cj is not nearly as good without cams . Coyotes already breathe well from the factory where lt1 benefit more from this mod. Here try to educate yourself

Honestly for the street the camaro is alot more fun, the torque difference is staggering. I've been in both, the seat feel in the lt1 is a whole lot better. Coyotes are interstate motors.

A simple msd mani will do the trick. Both cars sick and I been saying this on this channel for 2 years that 6th gens just as fast/faster equal mods and both cars tuned properly. Silly world records weren’t enough,I’m just glad Frank finally found a 6th gen tuned right.

While the CJ manifold is really nice I wouldn’t call it top of the line. It is literally an off the shelf ford part. Yeah it’s better than stock but it’d be comparable to putting an lt2 manifold on the lt1. A holley high ram or something is an actual top of the line part.

I have seen a full test of all the different (5) manifolds for the 2018+ 5.0’s and the CJ made mid pack power but did. It do well up top. Surprisingly, the stock mani ported did the best overall from mid range on up without low end losses.

The cobra jet is leagues above the gen3 mani. It’s actually the worst one. It makes a lot of peak power but doesn’t rev out and tends to have a peaky curve. For na cars the mmr manifold(only when heads cam)> cj> boss mani( because of porting potential)>gt350>gen3.
Imagine if the Coyote was a 6.2
650 hp N/A easily...but the engine would be physically massive
@@AaronJones-yt4vd 6.2 DOHC wouldn't fit in the hood and 650hp is weak for that engine. The C8 has 5.5 DOHC making 670hp. So many ignorant people thinking the LT1 6.2 is a bigger engine than the 5.0 coyote when they are practically the same size for the 5.0 has more moving parts for being DOHC.
@@budgetelixirs5993 why would you think a 5.0 has more moving parts. It dont use lifters or pushrods. It has less moving parts. And adding a 1/2 inch to the length and a 1/2 inch to the hight of a coyote would be sufficient to make a 6.2 displacement.
@@robertkington2084 coyote has 4 valves per cylinder and DOHC. Also the engine is even bigger than a 6.2 LS/LT making it harder to fit in an engine bay.

With mine I put it in sports mode drop it to third then smack it back in drive and let the trans do the work
The cars are basically the same. U can tell the Camaro has more torque. But after about 130-140 the mustang starts to walk it. In a quarter mile the Camaro may have a better et but the mustang would probably Cross the line with more speed. Honestly it comes down to what car do u think looks better.

Mustang eats top end. Dual over head cam engine on the 10r80 is more modern and easier to stack power on. Lt1 engine is more old school still quick though

My old 2017 & 18 1SS base Camaro had the 8 spd and they are quicker than these new Ford-GM co-developed 10 spds. I have ran against friend in first year 2020 LT1’s and first year 10 spd 2019 1SS Camaro and my old 8 spds were quicker. The thing with these 10 spd is that they’re more refined and in the case of the 2019+ Camaros, more efficient too. They are different 10 spds too. Ford has the 10R80 while the Camaro gets a large GM SUV/Truck sourced 10R90. Oh and on the Camaro, you get launch control. You don’t get that on Mustang. I think the 5.0 owner needs to du p the CJ mani and go with a ported stock one and watch what happens. I bet he pulls on the LT then.

Mustang has a couple more bolt on mods an intake manifold and throttle body. Would be cool to see them run again with the Camaro having same mods.

Camaro looked like it go slower on the last run. Should pulled away by a car tell 145 then the stang should of caught up a little by 160. Mustang jumped all the earlier races as well
My car when I wasn’t tuned after 2 runs it used to pull timing and the car felt like a dog after idk if it’s the same with the Camaros

Oh YEAH! Blue LT1 strikes again! First two races LT1 wins it even though the GT jumped 2nd race. LT1 needs to install an LT2 intake manifold to make it equal with the CJ manifold on the 5.0 but otherwise great race for both cars.
