Ryan Gosling stars as a Hollywood stunt driver for movies by day and moonlights as a wheelman for criminals by night. Though a loner by nature, “Driver” can’t help falling in love with his beautiful neighbor Irene (Carey Mulligan), a young mother dragged into a dangerous underworld by the return of her ex-convict husband. After a heist goes wrong, Driver finds himself driving defense for the girl he loves, tailgated by a syndicate of deadly serious criminals (Albert Brooks and Ron Perlman). Soon he realizes the gangsters are after more than the bag of cash and is forced to shift gears and go on the offense.

Something about these two robbers not saying a word while hes driving is actually really nice. Almost like they respect his rules and his services to drive and they wanted him to focus on just that- with no small talk or banter back and forth. Then they quietly disappear in the crowd. They might be crooks. But atleast they gave the driver the respect and focus he needed to do his job.

4:20 He makes so many mistakes it's crazy. But police chopper never activates NIGHT SUN until they have patrol cars already following the subject. There's no point. It only tips them off that they're being followed. And this one patrol car would not chase until he had backup. So this is completely NOT REALISTIC. In 2011 when this movie came out, the Impala didn't even have a V8, the SS was discontinued in 2009, so his car would have to be 2 years old to still have the 5.3L V8 which still only made 303hp which is tiny compared to today's cars. The V6 in 2011 only produced 230hp. It would not make a muscle car noise like that from the exhaust and engine. That's APPALLING!!!!

Ah, memories. When I was younger police would be sniffing out my car even when I was just going about my business. This is on a random night after getting back from getting art supplies and going around the posted limit. Go above? Citation. Go under? Pulled over and it's a game of 20 Questions.
The APB could be 'brown pickup truck with plate number XXX' but there they are getting my bright red Sunfire coupe. After enough of that I made cut-offs for all external lights and sprayed the car matte black. I hardly ever sped on purpose so they just had it out for me. As a result, I ran a few times and don't regret it. Looking back on it, I'm feeling like (TH-cam user) "Swoozy" who has a series called "driving while black" where he'd be pulled for trivial sh!t... only I'm white. >.>
