idk if there's something I'm missing, but they just get caught in my pitfall and then get out. I know they're weak enough because I kill them like 2 hits later and they were limping beforehand so kinda bumming me out
theres a blue indicator under the monsters picture on the top left side of the screen, once you see that then you can trap monsters. Once they're in the trap use tranq bombs to knock them out. Also, certain parts can be acquired from capturing a monster, or by killing it. Use the wiki to find out which one you need to do before wasting your time like me :(

you have to use tranq bombs after you catch them in trap
