P&O Arvia Mediterranean Cruise - Episode 2

- Hey y’all & welcome to episode two of our P&O Arvia Cruise around the Mediterranean. In this episode we continue our cruise onboard P&Os newest ship, Arvia. We cruise through the Gibraltar Strait and spend a day in Palma de Mallorca Spain and then onto La Spezia, Italy.
We start off with a day at sea, showing you around the ship, including a visit to the Oasis Spa and Thermal Suites and a meal at 6th Street Diner.
We then dock in Palma de Mallorca where we explore the port without booking any excursions. This includes one of the best breakfasts we have ever had at Hotel Cappuccino. We also explore the old town, visiting shops and taking in the beautiful architecture, before we take you to Hard Rock Cafe for cocktails and lunch!
Back on board and into another sea day, we take you to the Glass House and to our favourite restaurant onboard, The Keel and Cow.
We then dock in La Spezia, Italy, where we independently explore the city. We head out for breakfast, before visiting the Castello San Giorgio and onto the most amazing Italian pizza!

Great video, guys. We’re doing the Med this summer on RCCL and Palma is on our itinerary… we’ve not been in over 20 years, so this vlog has made us even more excited. Also, we’ve not sailed P&O yet, so enjoying the ship stuff too.

We have cruised Royal before and loved it! Palma was one of our favourites ports on this cruise. It was really bustling that day but we loved having a little explore!
P&Os newer ships Iona and Arvia are really nice. (Although we must admit we haven’t been in any of the others yet!) It’s very British which means good tea 🫖 🫖! Which is very important ha!

Would you go on Arvia again or do you prefer Iona?
We prefer Iona as she’s more elegant and we personally found the food better. However some of the new features on Arvia like the swim up bar are great. We are back on Arvia in 2024 for a Transatlantic crossing. 2025 Iona is already booked

Me again, I’m slowly making my way through all your videos and I think they are fantastic, you are doing a great job! Also are children allowed in the crows nest bar? Or any bar they aren’t allowed in.

I’m watching your videos which are very informative as I am going on the same cruise first time on P&O do you have to book the headliners theatre if so how and when ? Many thanks
Sorry for the delay…
For the main headliners shows you can book before you leave… I think 2 weeks before you sail date.. but keep checking your online booking… the middle show is always busy. The earlier one tended to be quieter and people were able to turn up on the day… but you couldn’t do that for the middle showing…
Remember seats are not allocated so even if you’ve booked go a little earlier so you can get a seat where you want.
Some other things within the theatre are just first come first served. Examples of this would be the Orca talk we had, and the virtual bridge tour, if they are giving those talks onboard.
Remember that the talks within the skydome are first come first served also… so go early, grab a seat, cocktail and relax before the show!
