Such nonsense. I’ve been taking NAC as well and eat really healthy and got Covid twice. If you really want to know stop being careful. Expose yourself to people with Covid. Let’s see how well NAC works for a virus. I’m telling you know it won’t. And by the way, you can get Covid without showing any symptoms even if all you eat is fast food. That’s happened to many people. No one knows why and how.
It is worth noting that the Dr at Medcram notes that NAC doesn't prevent you from getting covid, but that previous studies showed that about 50% of people who had the flu and took NAC didn't show any symptoms, so it'sgenerally helpful for a broad array of illnesses. I also took NAC throughout the pandemic and didn't get symptomatic covid, so it may have been a contributing fact to that for me.
They'd need to do a NAC vs NAC+Gly study to show Gly has any added benefits. As Gly is not rate limiting as Cys is. Few people lack Gly, although older people may produce less gly.
I have been struggling with mysterious lung issues since the birth of my son 17 years ago. Almost like a chronic bronchitis or COPD (even though I don’t smoke and never have). I have been to many doctors and they all just keep prescribing inhalers. So…many…inhalers. None of them seemed to give me much relief. A friend reached out to me and suggested NAC. Bicarbonate of soda half a teaspoon in the morning 1 hour after the above In 14 days I have smashed a lot of the symptoms. The neck pain has reduced by at least 80% and I am starting to sleep better. Just an FYI about hormonal acne: I had my daughter start on Vit D3 + K2 sublingual drops and after a month of use, she began to break out. We tried to determine what was new in her routines (make-up, food, etc.) and the drops were what was new. I looked it up and found out that too much Vit D can cause hormonal acne as it raises testosterone levels. I don’t know if this is the cause but she is going to stay off of it for 2 weeks to see.
Isn’t it a little inaccurate to suggest that glutathione would be good for ‘detoxing’ from certain toxic chemicals, because it doesn’t directly interact with them. It’s probably of benefit when these chemicals generate free radicals, but to the best of my knowledge the negative effects of most of these compounds is because of their estrogen-like effects in our body (like BPA, phtalates), so an antioxidant wouldn’t really help in that case, although I could be wrong. And also wanted to add there’s many unstable molecules that can cause oxidative stress, but there’s also many antioxidant pathways so only taking glutathione, although it’s one of the main antioxidants, could be insufficient for some people (chronic inflammatory conditions), I always think it’s best to regulate these mechanisms from multiple angles, so multiple antioxidants seem to me to be the way to go. Like adding vitamin C and E, although many micronutrients have antioxidant properties. Anyways thank you for your content 😁
There is a distinction between the GGT level and the GGP levels. Their is a difference in where these enzymes are produced. There are tests that can provide more specific information about glutathione levels, such as the total glutathione test or the oxidized glutathione test. These tests can help to assess the total amount of glutathione in the body or the amount of glutathione that has been oxidized (used up), respectively.
@jbarron4596 Oxidized Glutathion is restored. That utilizes NADP/NADPH. So keeping NAD+ levels up might be good too. (By NMN, NR supplementation, and TMG.) Since Glutathion is active in the cells, it should be difficult to meassure its level directly. But the effect should show up in reducing levels of IL6, CRP, and other signs of oxidative stress, I think.

Anybody know of a study that shows the difference between taking just NAC and GlyNAC? People everywhere are singing the praises of NAC by itself. What are they missing by not adding glycine?
Nac is commonly used to make lung mucus less sticky & therefore easier for the body to cough out, that's why it's used in covid and other lung disorders
My ggt and alt are high from my last blood test. At the time I was taking a lot of pain relief for migraines and the only question I was asked was whether or not i drink. Once I said no, that was the end of the conversation. No support or help or suggestions. I have only just got onto NAC and Glycine so fingers crossed I form discipline to heal the inside. So important.
Don't you have to take zinc with NAC? I was taking NAC for two years during the pandemic, and interestingly I still looked like I hit a wall quickly. Maybe I need glycine. I was taking NAC for other reasons, like what it was shown to help for during SARS-COV1 (btw no jab or sickness yet). Then I found out that it helped break down biofilms, because it took away other pain I'd had for decades. It did help with my obsessive tendencies. I LOVE NAC.
The dosing information given from the study is incorrect. The doses were 1.31 mmol/kg/d and 0.83 mmol/kg/d for glycine and cysteine (via NAC) respectively. That works out to around 100mg per day for each amino acid for each kg of body weight per day. If we assume a bodyweight of 70kg, that means about 7g of glycine and 7g of NAC per day for a total of 14g day (14,000 mg) for a 70kg (154lb) person. That's a lot different from the 1000mg per amino acid supplement (2,000 mg) reported here. This probably shouldn't be surprising since these are amino acid nutrients and not pharmaceuticals. The same group did a follow up clinical trial (blinded with a control group) that came to essentially the same conclusions as this earlier trial. In that trial, they gave the dosages not in mmol, but in mg of supplement as 100 mg/kg/d for each participant - confirming my estimated conversions from mmol to mg. You'd think that a supplement supplier would report the dosage used in the study correctly. BTW, these doses may or may not be optimal. But they are the doses that gave the results reported in the two trials. If you are going to supplement, you'll have to decide what you think is appropriate. BTW, here's a big picture thought. These results were in older people who had reduced glutathione levels - presumably due to age. Many studies show that people process proteins more poorly as we age and that we should therefore consume substantially more protein as we get older. These two supplements supply amino acids - proteins. Maybe you get a good portion (all?) of these benefits if you simply consumed the higher amounts of protein and exercised a bit. It would be nice to see this study repeated with such variables included.
I started it take NAC a year ago. Also Berberine. I couldn’t sleep. Still wide awake at 7 am. And it was odd too as the tine just went by so fast. Then the next night and I would crash and burn. I have never had anything like this before. Thought it was the Berberine and stopped taking. Anyway I just couldn’t believe it was the NAC but stopped it for a week and my sleep was good. Took it one day and sleep off again. I did a search and found others have had this issue.
The best way to upregulate glutathione is to take sulforaphane (brocolli sprouts). The effects of glutathione in it's various forms or it's precursors get down-regulated after a few weeks.
I heard about the combo of NAC and Glycine from a podcast with Dr. Mercola and Stephanie Seneff and that it helped with glyphosate. They also suggested cycling on and off of the combo so some time not taking glycine with NAC.
I have taken NAC for years, different brands and different dosages, and I never, never felt any benefit from it. I never thought about that until I heard Dr. Ben Lynch talk about NAC and glutathione. He made a comment that some people don't have a response to NAC, and what they should do if that is occuring. What does help me tremendously is DMG. I feel it and I know I'm benefiting from it.
I've wondered about that as well, the designs for health brand was really good, not sure why I would buy off this guy's site. Regardless, when I first started taking it, I could feel it in my head, now not really at all. Every once in awhile I get a very sulfuric fart😮, I actually like that because it tells me that the brands are atleast using the right compounds, 😅
@@GamesonQ DMG is dimethylglycine. Also, what may work (maybe better ??) is trimethylglycine TMG. These both have health benefits because they are "methyl donors. "
No need to take the Glutathione as the glycine gets converted to it to the amounts your body needs. If you took both then...I suppose your body wouldn't convert the glycine and you would just piss it out. But you would have the potential issues he talked about.

I started using NAC during first days of pandemic. A Doctor on Medcram said it could help you if you got NAC. I have never gotten covid. I am careful. I wash my hands, I put lemons in my water bottle. I lost 35 pounds, I am 60, post menopausal. Go figure...😊
👍👍👍🙏
How do you know that you never had COVID when hundreds of millions of people were asymptomatic?
It is worth noting that the Dr at Medcram notes that NAC doesn't prevent you from getting covid, but that previous studies showed that about 50% of people who had the flu and took NAC didn't show any symptoms, so it'sgenerally helpful for a broad array of illnesses. I also took NAC throughout the pandemic and didn't get symptomatic covid, so it may have been a contributing fact to that for me.
False positives pal.
I started taking it a week ago and I am noticing a big difference already! Less mucus production in my lungs and it is much easier to cough up (which was a major problem for me before…I would violently cough but the mucus wouldn’t budge so I would get very short of breath). I am so grateful to have discovered this supplement/medication. Thanks for your video. I am going to consider adding glycine as well to get maximum benefit.

I have been really sick for 3 years.
I found out two weeks ago I have mould toxicity and it was hammering me to an early grave.
Once this was identified is started:
My lymph nodes were swollen, spleen is 14cm and enlarged, chronic fatigue and post stroke fatigue. Had a car crash into my 8 years ago. And been unwell.
My protocol:
1. Lugols iodine now on 7 drops of 15% in the morning
2. Fours days of 8 grams, 2x2 4 times a day then 3 grams, 1 gram 3 times a day
3. Bicarbonate of soda half a teaspoon in the morning 1 hour after the above
In 14 days I have smashed a lot of the symptoms. The neck pain has reduced by at least 80% and I am starting to sleep better. Today was the best day I have had in 3 years.
Just ordered the glycine. 👍🥳

I think it is fantastic as I have an MRI of my hip that shows arthritis, in 2022 where I had a lesion on the iliac Crest, and only 6 months on and I have another mri, no arthritis and no.lesion. both gone.
Then I added the NAC at the 8 gram loading for.the 4 days... that's when the pain I had in my neck and shoulder from the mould toxicity down by at least 80%. Incredible and if I dont take the NAC it returns. Hence the new 3 grams a day.

@@nope.2523oh wow I’ll be sure to be mindful of that thank you so much!
This!
I bought his nac supplement. I like it
There is a distinction between the GGT level and the GGP levels.
@jbarron4596
Oxidized Glutathion is restored. That utilizes NADP/NADPH.
So keeping NAD+ levels up might be good too. (By NMN, NR supplementation, and TMG.)
Since Glutathion is active in the cells, it should be difficult to meassure its level directly.
But the effect should show up in reducing levels of IL6, CRP, and other signs of oxidative stress, I think.

Don't you have to take zinc with NAC? I was taking NAC for two years during the pandemic, and interestingly I still looked like I hit a wall quickly. Maybe I need glycine. Then I found out that it helped break down biofilms, because it took away other pain I'd had for decades. It did help with my obsessive tendencies. I LOVE NAC.
Actually you need selinium and probably some iodine to protect your thyroid since nac has sulfur molecular.
