I've been taking it on and off (mostly on) for several years, about 1000 mg a day. Very well tolerated, I can take on an empty stomach, or after a meal, it makes no difference. It has dramatically improved my allergy symptoms, which were chronic throat clearing, nasal "stuffiness", and lingering dry cough whenever I had a cold. I think it also boosts my energy level just a bit, hard to tell, because I might be taking too low a dose for me. Whenever I feel run down or on the verge of a cold, also around the change of seasons, I take 1000 mg NAC daily, and it helps me a great deal.
Great content! I’ve heard it’s good to occasionally give NAC a break . And for some of us who don’t methylate efficiently, taking glutathione is better.
. I am hypothyroid and I became very sensitive to foaming agents in shampoos, toothpastes and fluoride. The latter would make my gums swell up and my face would become puffy. However, since taking NAC I can now use toothpaste with fluoride in. That being said, I still need to use a SLS free shampoo or I need up with contact dermatitis. Very strange! I believe the glycine and NAC have helped me sleep throughout the night, I now get 4 hours sleep without waking up rather than waking up every hour on the hour. I also fall back to sleep and managed a further 2 to 3 hours....it's been a god send!
Indeed change toothpaste. The fluoride in it is a byproduct that comes from the aluminum industry and it's a neurotoxin. It calcifies the pineal gland (that makes melatonin for sleep among other things).
Flouride also messes with the thyroid gland. get it out of your diet - water, toothpaste!! The pineal gland does many things....one of them is producing growth hormone....use water without Flouride. Europe completely bans Flouride and has for decades. In North America almost every water supply has it. see if you can find a documentary about Flouride. I remember watching one years ago and when Flouride was put in the water at a city water treatment plant the workers had to wear a hazmat suit and when it hit the concrete it began to dissolve it.
Sorry but that toothpaste is bad for you so is fouride in water get a jug and use a filter mouth wash is a nono listerine isnt good and you can get a soft brush clean tong to help also use tongue scraper n rinse filterd water no amagamen fillings ,and n no root canals as they cause lots of trouble and costs to get out once done

People should be aware of this fact. NAC is amazing but comes with it's own risks. I took 600mgs for less than a month then stopped. Even at that dose I noticed impaired mood when I stopped taking it.
I am guessing that when you talk about a genetic problem in the liver in making glutathione, you’re talking about the MTHFR? Several members in our family have that, so they would need to take glutathione. This is very helpful!
I have MTHFR and I take NAC and C together. It helps to get a good sweat going a few times a week. I take hot steam baths regularly and it's a game changer. ❤ Sometimes I take the NAC and C before my hot bath and then take charcoal after to absorb all the toxins that have stirred up during the sweat. I feel so much better afterwards.
My understanding of the MTHFR gene mutation is it's a problem with methylation and basically results in low folate levels and high homocysteine levels.
Is nac also healthy for people who dont tolerate histamine very well? Nac leads to histamine reactions and therefore inflammation? If it is not good: is it better or healthy again if you combine it with an antihistaminicum like citirizin?

I would recommend backing off it once healthy. Maybe cycle it. Let your body do the work. It can cause a dry cough in some. If you have lung issues nebulizing hydrogen peroxide in a saline solution with a drop of iodine can be very healing.
If the Globalist psychos know a drug helps they may tamper with it. I was recently reading about how Ivermectin banned during Covid & doctors sacked etc who used it ( it apparently saves lives if used early with 'Covid' symptoms so the WEF governments had to ban it of course. But it's now been allowed to be prescribed again but apparently some brands at least, now found to contain Graphene ( & who knows what else?) ie the medicines is now very dangerous to take in some cases at least...
So to sum all of that up, minus the marketing plug, you should take NAC, plus vitamin C (freshly queezed lemon juice) and vitamin E together. You didn't discuss the importance of the best form of vitamin E. While you are at it you might explain why the best form of vitamin C is lemon juice versus all the pharma versions.
We drink pineneadle thee, witch has 5x more vitamin c than Lemon, it also have glutathion. And its not bad to drink. I spice it up with 2 cloves and one drop of on Guard to boost my health. I feel good 😊

Yes there has been some detox supplements and like detox baths and foods like tumeric and ginger and garlic that used to make me real tired for a long time along with atothgy and intermittent fasting but I kept going it took a couple few years to get through it but worth it
Why don't you do one on phenol sulfotransferase? If I'm not mistaken you need that to break down salicylates, I'm Sal intolerant, which dramatically occurred to me in mid-life. I would love to know why, and if an absence inhibits sulfate conjugation, or if and how histamine levels increase over salicylate exposure if sufficient levels of PST are present. Natural Sals are important to reduce inflammation and as I get older taking these natural ant-inflammatories seems something nobody should miss.

He understates the benefits of glutathione. I remember an article on ageing using worms, out of Italy. I cannot find it again. They said it doubled the life of worms and as we age, glutathione production wanes and that everyone over 50 should be taking NAC. Also it is like a super detoxifier in the cell. When lacking the cell function is reduced, along with lifespan. Another therapy is glutathione IV with hyperbaric oxygen, improving brain function, memory etc. But NAC and exercise will do the same. Also with all the excessive glutamine we get in our diets from MSG or various forms, NAC may be good at mopping that up. It's toxic to the brain in large amounts (glutamic acid). Dr Russell Blaylock goes into this a lot.
I think this high glutamic acid was what started or agitated my seizures after a TBI. I’m twenty but interested in leaving medications completely. People don’t realize how harmful MSG can be and it’s regarded as GRAS (generally recognized as safe) but it’s BS. It’s the medical industry.
NAC AS A RATE-LIMITING FACTOR IN GLUTATHIONE SYNTHESIS: It's true that cysteine, supplied by NAC, is a key component in glutathione synthesis. However, describing NAC as a "rate-limiting" factor might be an oversimplification. The rate of glutathione synthesis depends on multiple factors, including the availability of all three amino acids (glycine, glutamine, and cysteine) and the activity of enzymes involved in the synthesis process. ANTIOXIDANT TRIPLET: The concept of Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and glutathione working together as an "antioxidant triplet" is somewhat simplified. While these antioxidants do interact and can support each other's functions, the body's antioxidant defenses are far more complex and involve numerous other compounds and enzymes. EFFICACY OF NAC VS GLUTATHIONE SUPPLEMENTS: The claim that NAC is a more economical and effective way to boost glutathione levels than direct glutathione supplementation is a generalization. The effectiveness of these supplements can vary greatly between individuals due to factors like absorption rates, metabolic rates, and individual health conditions. MUCOLYTIC BENEFITS OF NAC: NAC does have mucolytic properties, and it's used in medical settings for conditions like acetaminophen overdose and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). However, its effectiveness for other respiratory conditions or in non-hospital settings is less well-established. GENETIC VARIATIONS IN GLUTATHIONE SYNTHESIS: While genetic variations can impact the efficiency of glutathione synthesis, the prevalence and impact of such variations are not universally agreed upon in the scientific community. Not everyone with a SNP that could affect glutathione synthesis will have clinically significant issues with glutathione levels. CHARACTERISTICS OF NAC (SMELL AND EXCRETION): The sulfuric smell of NAC is accurate, as it contains sulfur. Its effect on urine and sweat odor is also true, but this is not an indication of its effectiveness or a health concern. DOSAGE RECOMMENDATIONS: The specific dosage recommendations should be viewed cautiously. NAC dosages can vary widely depending on the individual's health condition, and it's crucial to follow medical advice or labeling on the supplement for appropriate dosing. OVERALL EFFECTIVENESS: The video may overstate the benefits of NAC. While NAC has proven benefits in certain medical conditions, its effectiveness as a general antioxidant supplement is not conclusively established. Its role in various health conditions and as a preventive supplement needs more research. In summary, while some of the claims in the video are based on known properties of NAC and glutathione, others are oversimplified or lack strong scientific backing. It's important to consider the nuances and complexities of nutritional science and individual health needs when evaluating such claims.
@ifoundthistoday The information you have posted here is all well and good, but where did the information come from? I have read every comment made about the video. It appears that most of the comments are from people that have used all the supplements talked about in the video. I’ll take real people who have used it, over that general review from some unknown source any day. I really don’t trust all the scientific information that comes from the CDC, FDA , WHO, NIH. and BIG PHARMA, or any other government or university’s that are compromised and corrupted by unhealthy alliances😡

N-Acetylcysteine is given orally in large doses for acetaminophen (Tylenol) overdoses. That was its primary use when I worked as a hospital pharmacist 15 years ago. Didn't see much respiratory use anymore back then. Thanks for the information.
Yes that's what I saw as well when I worked in a hospital pharmacy
Allergy congestion, coughing followed by snotty and runny nose, I take one NAC and one Quercetine and bam, 45 minutes later, no more congestion for almost a half day. Maybe a bad pollen day, windy, 8 hours duration. If I am outside, windy, cold, I add a pill of Bromelain that Quercetine invariably comes with, but another big dose pill helps and I am good to go.
I think there are two forms of NAC , and when it comes to acetaminophen overdose , there is only one you can use to deal with the overload ?
Thank you for the information!
@@Fian_so- the NAC used for overdose in hospital is in an injectible form, but other than being suspeneded in the injectible carrier solution, is the same compound as in the pills. (Pills having other inactive ingredients sometimes too.)

Thank you for the in depth discussion of NAC. I've been taking 1000 mg capsules for six weeks and I can't believe how much clearer my lungs are. The expensive inhalers I had tried didn't help, but now I no longer have a productive cough. I too became interested in NAC when they shadow-banned it during the "pandemic".

I've been taking it on and off (mostly on) for several years, about 1000 mg a day. Very well tolerated, I can take on an empty stomach, or after a meal, it makes no difference. It has dramatically improved my allergy symptoms, which were chronic throat clearing, nasal "stuffiness", and lingering dry cough whenever I had a cold.
Fluoride-free toothpaste is important! Research about fluoride being toxic.

Sometimes I take the NAC and C before my hot bath and then take charcoal after to absorb all the toxins that have stirred up during the sweat. I feel so much better afterwards.
Did you get this info from your doctor? I too have not just one but BOTH of the MTHFR genes but my doctors seem to think it's no big deal. Help!

Which supplement company do you recommend for NAC supplement? Thank You.

Thorne, very high quality supplements.
It's important to consider the nuances and complexities of nutritional science and individual health needs when evaluating such claims.
yeah,NAC is an antioxidant that disrupts the body's oxidative stress system
Don't worry about all that just take immunocal

The information you have posted here is all well and good, but where did the information come from? I have read every comment made about the video. It appears that most of the comments are from people that have used all the supplements talked about in the video. I’ll take real people who have used it, over that general review from some unknown source any day. I really don’t trust all the scientific information that comes from the CDC, FDA , WHO, NIH. and BIG PHARMA, or any other government or university’s that are compromised and corrupted by unhealthy alliances😡

NAC also lowers BP and homocysteine. And it boosts nitric oxide. I find that when combined with beetroot smoothies, my BP and resting heart rate drop substantially. Beetroot is also high in betaine which is a methyl donor and also helps lower homocysteine.
