Yep, it looks like they're definitely trying to slim it down to be a little more reminiscent of Dread. Makes sense, since the dread design is one of her most popular looks now
Great comparison! Is anyone else seeing a small bit of Dread influence on the proportions of the power suit in this one? The mere existence of a neck in this design is such a fantastic update IMO.
i agree, the recent games have done a great job at making samus look and feel more feminine and human than past games and that's a change i really enjoy.
I like the subtle changes in the proportions of the suit! The shoulder pauldrons are smaller in 4, and I could swear her waist is ever so slightly wider. In combination it gives her a much more human silhouette while making her seem both more sleek and more sturdy at the same time. It‘s kinda in line with the recent trend of giving game avatars more realistic proportions which got heated online, but even her new silhouette is that of a supermodel and I‘d say the changes have all but improved her style.
I also like the fact they seem to make her mostly silent too. Only speak whenever she feels is necessary, and not so often too. Similar vibe to Doomslayer. Edit: I know the fact they made her always silent in the games, but the fact Dread lets her speak during rarest times makes it more cooler.
@merimkastrat5846 Samus isn't really a silent protagonist in the main series to begin with, the first three games just didn't have anyone for her to talk to. You can see in her opening monologue in Super and all throughout Fusion that she has no problems talking. The silent thing is more an invention of the Prime games. It really would have been strange for her to not talk to the friendly chozo. Dread simply returned to Samus proper rather than follow Other M which directly contrasted her depiction in Fusion.

I honestly don't care about the graphics. I'm just disappointed that the gameplay looks identical. You'd think Prime 4 was an expansion pack for MP1 that they made in 2003 but never released.
The MP1 suit looks MUCH better. The MP4 suit looks like a cheap cosplayer. They’ve altered the suit to make it more anatomically accurate and proportional to a human, but sacrificed the powerful presence and charisma of Samus. The environments in MP4 look very vacant, dull and plastic-like. However, the game is not finished, and these could still be under development. But as far as this comparison goes, MP1 is the better looking game by far.
I think both prime 1 and all other primes including prime 4 suits look too cartoonish. The suit in other M looked slightly better but still too cartonish

MP4 was running on switch 2 for sure. it might have been developed for switch 1, but that was definitely switch 2 hardware
Certainly not Switch 2. It's 900p (same as Remastered) with no evidence of upscaling. Basically every editorial opinion on the matter has concluded it's Switch 1 gameplay. I agree based on my experience developing for the platform.
@@BubbleTea033Truth! If MP3B is also coming to the Switch’s successor, it would be presented in 4K DLSS and powered by Unreal Engine 5.
all that time 🤣for a carbon copy of the remaster. classic modern nintendo move
The Metroid Prime 4 looks more cartoony, for some reasons, i dislike it
O novo (4) está melhor.
I honestly don't care about the graphics. I'm just disappointed that the gameplay looks identical. You'd think Prime 4 was an expansion pack for MP1 that they made in 2003 but never released.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why is prime 4 such a downgrade? It looks so much worse. There's very little detail in anything
How the f*ck is it a downgrade? Thumbing up your asshurt comment makes you a flaming douchebag. Prime 4 Beyond looks far more superior than ever.
MP 4s suit has similar proportions to dread. MP 1s suit is a classic look, but the proportion always looked a little goofy to me.
The teaser video literally says it's still in development if you look near the top at the beginning.
I think both prime 1 and all other primes including prime 4 suits look too cartoonish. The suit in other M looked slightly better but still too cartonish
i was thinking about that as well how the new iteration looks like a cosplayer lol
The MP4 suit is closer to the original MP1 suit. The Remastered version is closer to the 80s/90s Samus designs. As someone who has never played the 2D games, I like MP4's suit.
Can people really not tell them apart? The lighting, fog effects, and just post processing on MP4 is much better than MP1R
