I knew Sylux was teased in the true ending in Prime 3. But I have no idea he was also in the true ending of Federation Force. Now I wish we had an remastered of Hunters, Prime 2 & 3 and Federation Force on Switch.
With the amount of hate Federation Force got, I don't know if it'll get re-released unless it gets bundled with another game like Hunters.

@@fullmetalgamer6062From what I’ve heard, it’s a fun multiplayer game, just not a good Metroid game. I’d be willing to try it if they put it on Switch for a reasonable price. Same for Hunters, which I have tried and didn’t like (the controls were the main issue), but I’ve heard good things about the multiplayer.
I love how federation force, as chibi as it is, still canon and probably important to mp4's story lol

@@dangerouslysafe3 Even before hunters I think Sylux knew of her and he had already stolen his suit and weapons from the federation. It is possible he knew her from her time with the federation, maybe when she broke off to be a bounty hunter he thought she would be like him especially since she was wronged by them too. but instead she became their greatest weapon. She was the one to save their butts over and over gaining his hatred

@OnBakePlatinum that comment is technically correct as Samus and Sylux's ship appear in Metroid Prime 3. However, Gandrayda, Ghor, and Rundas were created for Metroid Prime 3 and that game is their only appearance.

His species is a mystery, but I'm wondering if the twist is that he isn't an alien or one of the space pirate species, but just a regular old human who hates the federation and likes stealing federation tech. Heck, he may even be ex-federation. Maybe with a mirror kind of storyline to Samus. I'm excited to learn more about him.
Maybe Samus' sibling or an ex-mentor? There seem to be a lot of possibilities.
Most of the entries are about "stolen prototypes" maybe it doesn't stop there and there's nobody in the suit, being a prototype gone rogue itself? That could explain how he survived if there was nothing to kill inside the suit in the first place

- maybe they didn't write all his backstory at the time or they changed it
- when Samus take damage in MPH she doesn't really sound human, like maybe suits / armor modify and amter voices
Man, I remember playing Prime Hunters online with others. All the different bounty hunters and stuff, shit was a certified classic. I wish online multiplayer is brought back in Prime 4.
same, and it's bizarre cause I feel like not a lot of us got to experience the Hunters pvp mode. guess were one of the lucky few. Honestly it sorta reminded me of Half Life Deathmatch...

Incredible how Kensuke Tanabe (producer of the Metroid series) teased the character for so long to tell his hate and conflict with Samus and the Galactic Federation.
Seeing that scrape with Gorea reminds me of just how lucky Sylux was to escape with his life to fight Samus again 18 years later.
And I just now realized that everything about Slyux’s suit, from the Lockjaw and even the Delano 7, resembles each other with an X shape aesthetic.
Wonder what it could be. An “X” factor?

7:17 is kind of why you don't ask to see the full model of a character designed exclusively for a 1st-person viewpoint. If you're lucky, it'll just be a repurposed NPC model. If not, there won't actually _be_ a "full model".
But could also be that he wears another suit to disguise himself.
He infiltrates and steals, unlike Samus who for the most time battles her way through.
I just figured he is infiltrating the federation in one of their suits since they would be on alert after dooms eye
It honestly looks like they either didn’t have time to model him correctly or they just didn’t want/need to model him correctly. Kind of a shame really. I wanna see him in a proper Chibi style
The roars Sylux made in Hunters always led me to believe that he wasn't human. Then again, Savitar from the CW Flash show also roared, and he turned out to be human later on. lol

Metroid Prime Hunters was such a technical marvel for the Nintendo DS. I love that this character from the underrated 2006 Nintendo DS Metroid Prime is going to be a major player in Metroid Prime all the way in 2025

You should! The games are pretty fun!
That being said, the video PRETTY much covers all appearances of Sylux in the franchise so far (besides a game mechanic in Hunters where the other hunters can steal your collected Octoliths if you lose to them). It'll be good to finally see how Retro Studios handles the character after hyping him up as the next major villain in the Prime sub-franchise.
Sylux wasn't even featured in the main (console) Prime games, but rather the portable spinoffs.
He or Raven Beak or Both for the next Smash game ❤

Bro is like the Boba Fett of Metroid. Looks awesome, is implied to be very capable and dangerous but he barely shows up in the media, fans love him anyway.

He was one of my favorite character from Metroid with Trace (and i really love other hunters from metroid prime hunters in fact) since i played MPH 15 years ago. Seeing him going from an unknown character to the main antagonist of metroid prime 4 and the hype around him make me so fucking happy.
I hope they'll keep his atlernative form which is his own form of the morph ball. They gave every hunters from MPH for the online game so not only samus has one.
I really really hop that we'll see other hunter from MPH too because they gave them lore and backstory but never really exploited them. Maybe we could see weavel helping sylux or at least confronting samus since she's with the space pirates and she hold a grudge toward samus like sylux.
Ah and i thought that metroid prime 4 logo/title looks like the lockjaw (sylux's alternative form). Yes it looks like a blackhole too but maybe we'll know more about the technology sylux stolen from the federation and mayeb it's gonna be an important plot.
Sylux and Trace while "opposite elements" in their game, also felt like the most interresting of all the hunters to be full on antagonists.
Trace being an assassin of an alien empire. (Who should be a villian of another Metroid game, I mean look at his cutscene!)
And Sylux having the longest intro....
In my opinion.. We know Sylux's true idenity since MPH. The experimental suit... the way he moves and acts... his hate for Samus and the Federation... The life draining and electricity...
He's a humanoid Metroid... maybe the 1st to get the "Metroid Vaccine" of fusion or... an "anti-dark samus" due to what we see happen in Metroid Prime 3.
We also know the Shadow Branch of the federation is around thanks to Federation Force's secret ending.
So Slyux being a "Federation made" Metroid Prime, based of Dark Samus with prototype technology... Yeesh...
@@kotlolish yeah that would be sooo cool if Sylux were indeed a human metroid or something like a human fused with a metroid or something like that like they transplant in a human body some metroid blood. And I'll add that his origins planet is named Cylosis, that's close to cyclosis which is related to blood (movements of cytoplasm).

Funny how in retrospect (and I remember even back in the day there was stuff suggesting it if you'd been paying attention for a while) Federation Force and Hey! Pikmin were pretty clearly meant to be little games to tide fans of each series over until their respective 4s, but at the time fans ended up taking them entirely the wrong way and thought that was all Nintendo thought of the franchises by that point. Not to say it's the fans' faults, it's just funny how they went over exactly the opposite way they were meant to.
Which is a bit sad to be honest.
Maybe they should've been more explicit about telling that Pikmin and Metroid still has bigger games planned...
Well, considering that Other M was dogshit and the last Prime game was 9 years before Federation Force, I think Metroid fans were a little justified in being outraged that they were handed a chibi styled sports game. They'd be waiting another 7 years for a small gameplay showcase and trailer so I don't think Nintendo deserves a pat on the back for this one.

Nope, but it might be closer then the truth. My opinion? The shadow branch of the Federation (Fusion, Other M experiments) made Sylux.
How else did they made stuff like the Phazon Control Unit and Metroid Vaccine without a test subject hmmm?
Add the fact his weapon of choice is an electrical weapon that drains life and adds it to it's own.
It just makes too much sense that Sylux here is an attempt to make their "Own dark Samus" to fight "Dark Samus" at the start of Metroid Prime 3... but since Sylux busted out...they decided NOT to attempt it again.

As long as Nintendo is willing to give rep to Western parts of the Metroid series, then he should have a decent chance. Dark Samus was an Echo Fighter, and Meta Ridley was a alt for Ridley. Sylux could be the first full fledged Prime character to be included. I also feel that Sylux would be easier to integrate as a playable fighter compared to the likes of Raven Beak, who would work nicely as a boss.
i dunno why or where but that track when we see sylux in the prime 4 trailer sounds pretty damn familiar.
edit: it sounds like the track that plays when you see the animals (i think etecons) in super metroid.

@@phillipk4196 you misunderstood what i wrote. i don't know what music is playing in the prime 4 trailer, i am just saying that there is no etecoon music in Super Metroid. the music that plays when you find the etecoons is just the bgm that always plays in that area, regardless of whether the etecoons are around. i think the etecoons sing a short tune but that's just the "item get" fanfare and not unique to etecoons. so, whatever music you are thinking of is either the brinstar theme or the item fanfare.

None of the other hunters died in that game, they were all shown flying away at the end.
