- After months of searching, I've picked ups the cheapest, MANUAL, C6 Corvette. With everything in my life going to badly, it was now, or wait years.

My Cummins was getting hot like that and ended up being the radiator caked with dirt and grease. Look inside the shroud and you can see easily if that’s the case. Pumped for corvette content!

100%! My temps used to spike when towing up hills. Degreased and cleaned the rad and it never moved off 190 degrees even when towing heavy through the mountains.

In my experience dealing with code enforcement, the best thing to do is to find out exactly what they look for and comply as quickly as possible and not to drag it out. In my area, shit hole Southern Louisiana, I have to keep my non running cars looking like they drive and maintain the plate stickers. I am surprised you are having problems in your area, it looks to me like you are outside city limits and should be able to keep whatever the hell you want.
You are right though, even if things are going badly if you see something you really want then get it and fucking enjoy it.
