Thanks ,brother . Im arrived in US not long time ago, now have my cdl and trying find for me something good... all is new for me in this country , and your work ,video like this its good help ! thanks
Does your truck have a Lytx camera on the windshield recording in the cab? Many companies have them so you can't look at or touch your phone, take a drink of water, eat chips, pretty much anything or else you'll get in trouble.
Been driving 10 years. Most of it local and ive never see a local job that pays well. Maybe one of those construction union jobs that are next to impossible to get. Pretty much every job ive ever had I make enough to pay my bills and thats it. Most have horrible benefits or no benefits at all and they work you like a slave so by the time you go home youre to beat down and tired to do anything else. After a decade im convinced theres no such that as a good trucking job. Work locl and have no money and barely a life or work otr and have slightly more money but never get to go home. Its a lose lose.
@@leepialongOTR company driver averages around 1k gross a week working 14 hours 6 days a week equals to around $12 bucks an hour less than minimum wage and not to mention your guarding that company truck 24 hours a day with no pay. your doing your 34 hour reset in the middle of nowhere with no pay. its a shitty life style, sitting at docks for hours with no pay, cant find parking your lonely, miserable, your wife is banging other dudes, you eat crappy food get fat and develop health problems then next thing you'll have a heart attack or a stroke and be dead at a random truck stop thousand miles away from home and noone will give a shit about you cuz at the end of the day you were just a fat lonely truck driver🤷
@@leepialong They do not make more and that’s the huge problem. How are OTR company drivers only taking home $1500-2000 a week and local is taking home just around the same.. it’s messed up
@@leepialong i haul hazmat making 1800 a week starting off I only got about 9 months of experience it’s just harder finding high paying jobs when you local cuz you gotta be atleast 23+ and have Atleast a year of experience but it’s okay definitely do able

My 18 year old just got his CDL A. Great information. We have no idea where to start helping him launch his career.
I’m glad it was helpful! I wish them the best of luck!
Thank you for the information.

Get your hazmat in advance, lots of ltl jobs need that
Hey man I’m 19 and I just got my cdl and I’m finding it hard for me to find a job, you got any recommendations?
When you turn 21 you'll have better chances, try to go OTR
OTR pays better but no life/balance. Local pays less but better life/balance. which company are you driving now?
@@leepialongotr doesn’t pay better than local lol not company drivers

Who you with now? No more local job?
because local pays shits. OTR is where the money is.
@@leepialongnot all true
@@v-_-post generally true. If OTR pays less, no driver would do it. Why do you think there are more sleepers than daycabs on the road?
