I learned a lot very fast otr but the money wasn't there and 70 hours weeks burned me out. Otr was so unpredictable and gave me a lot of anxiety but it's different for everyone. I like regional/local jobs with dedicated routes much better. I been following you for over 2 years now. Love your channel! ❤❤
Oueen P Babyy Well said, You are right a lot of companies try to sell You some nonsense but, You have to standup and say I deserve Better even if that means hoping job to job a bit. I like your blog and You are truthful. Also, I don't blame You for not to anything but, your job now. You have earned that right, once You pay your dues. You have earned the right to have the job You want. Keep up the good work.
Great info! You really have to ask every company what Regional means to them lol. Some companies regional is otr while others you can be home daily or every couple of days. 😮💨
Just OTR about a month ago. I tired of coming home every month and a half just for a few days. My would would be 500-900 some weeks. I can make that on a regular job. I seen one job say 8 weeks out b4 ol home time. Queen P I'm glad you love your job, many people cant say that lol Lots of worklife balance
Oh no, I’m definitely finding another job if I bring home 500 or $900 a week got me messed up what is the point. You can go make that at McDonald’s absolutely not you better than me. I would’ve straight said off to go regional or some got me messed up.
Thank you for making these videos. Just started watching your channel a couple days ago but I like hearing you talk about your experiences and your days at work. I actually ordered that Prada perfume that u recommended for my girl, so thank you for that too 😂🔥
Sometimes when driving local, you do go out of state, I'm a former Truck Driver from New Jersey , and I used to run Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, even sometimes Virginia, and home every night, but yes most of the time you're driving in the state, and that depends on what part of the country you live in.
I’m 21 love. No kids. I’m from East Texas - I will be moving to Dallas soon. Thinking about Ryder local trucking or container company. Thank you for the information.
Hey I’m from Houston and still live here on the east side in Channelview. I’m going through training next month with Steven’s Transportation to get my CDL and wanted to know if you know any companies out here that might hire new/inexperienced drivers.
For the ports get your twic card. Also, in Houston it’s always great to have your endorsements. You get jobs faster. I do not however know any companies. You can google and look at reviews and stuff. Hope that helps!
Facts local is better.. you get vacation hours, sick hours, and paid holidays off, well at least at my company.. also in my opinion you make more than most OtR or regional drivers.
Yes local is better as far as being home every day. I have done OTR and regional. As far as paid holidays and PTO this depends on the company and the type of account you’re on. I’m local now getting paid by the load, not hourly. We do get 2 consecutive days off, health benefits and vacation time after 1 year, but no paid holidays or PTO/sick days.
@@terraGaliciaXXIVtwo weeks unpaid, two weeks paid, so four weeks altogether including holidays and you can ask for time off in general as long as you give them two weeks in advance notice. But hell probably still an insult can’t make em all happy
You should buy your own truck that should be the next step its going to be hard at first but it would be you're own shit an you'll be totally in control
The universe will always make a way. We sometimes have to just ride the waves of life. I haven't had a Job since December of 2023 but The Most High Has Been taking Care of me Since but I know I will be working again soon & making constant money again. P I'm really happy I came across your path. You've always been a Positive light for me since. I hope one day I'll have the opportunity to meet you in Person. Also make money together. Keep being this Person you are you deserve all the best this world has to offer. I'll catch you on your Tik Tok Live Peace .

I definitely feel the same. My job is great & I’m local as well.

Can you do local as a new trucker? I have kids but want to get my cdl!
Nice work 👏 yall got a branch in Las Vegas???

And also do you know what endorsements are needed out here to earn more or get a job at a port.

Stevens can actually hire you as a full time driver in house since you are doing your training through them.
Love the Hair 🥰🥰🥰
I'm a 47yr old female, do you think it's to late to become a trucker? I have my B, but I'm ready to level up
Not at all!! I was school with women older than that and they had their B and now they have their A “limitless boundaries” go for it!
No it’s not I’m 24 and see. A lot of older people going go for it!
yeah that regional stuff, those days are over
Feel like I gotta move to a bigger city to get a nice gig
anytime you been pulled over by dot?
Sis i just got on with Estes local P&D and loving it 🤘🏽
Congratulations 🎉
Thanks
Can you start off with local
As a new truck Driver?
I’m trying to get that and NOBODY really wants a new driver doing local but it’s not impossible
Facts local is better.. you get vacation hours, sick hours, and paid holidays off, well at least at my company.. also in my opinion you make more than most OtR or regional drivers.
Yes we get paid holidays as well. Great benefits! I see no reason to mess all that up!
