  • Nespresso Lattissima Plus Espresso Machine vs Nespresso Vertuoline brewer - exclusive review and comparison by www.aromacup.com.
    WHERE to BUY Nespresso:
    Nespresso.com: www.aromacup.co...
    Amazon.com: www.aromacup.co...
    About Nespresso Lattissima Plus:
While all of the single serve machines on offer from Nespresso make coffee at home easy and fuss-free, the Lattissima goes one step further. It is the first of the Nespresso machines to offer one-touch lattes and cappuccinos.
    About Nespresso Vertuoline:
The Nespresso VertuoLine comes with the unique brewer, the instruction manual and a tasting box of eight new Grand Cru capsules. The brewer itself has the look and feel of other Nespresso machines, slightly retro and very sleek, but with some new features. The removable drip tray can be adjusted to use smaller espresso mugs and larger coffee mugs. On either side of the brewing apparatus is a container -- one for water and the other for discarded, empty capsules.

I appreciate this comparative review very much. I have had a Keurig for years and bought the Lattissima plus last week at a Nespresso boutique. The salesman was guiding me towards the Vertuo because I am new to espresso but I purchased the Lattissima plus. I have been questioning my choice ever since even though my gut told me that I had made the right choice. This video provided the affirmation that I have been looking for.

There seems to be some confusion over the temperature issue with the VertuoLine. It varies the temperature according to the pod. The Decaffeinato pod will have an outlet temp of about 140.1F - 140.4F while the Vanizio pod will come out at 158.0F - 158.3F. This is measured with a K-type digital thermometer that is sensitive to the rapid temperature changes that occur from start to finish with each cycle. So while the Lattissima brews at a single temperature, the VertuoLine will adjust the brewing temperature to suit the pod selected.

Excellent. What is your opinion on the latest machines on the vertuo line vs the original? Would love your input as I am currently out to get a reliable, consistent, durable machine that delivers the most authentic crema when brewing espresso. I am considering the pixie. What would you say is the best machine on the original line?

Just a quick question... Do you promote HiLine or have a relationship with them? Reason I ask is because I have seen a few of your reviews and you seem to mention HiLine in every review... In that case, your review would then be slanted as the Vertuoline does not allow for other brands to jump in as HiLine has done with the other Nespresso machines. Just an honest question as I think those of us shopping around for a new machine might be slightly mislead if you want to ensure that HiLine is able to continue making cups and that consumers will continue purchasing machines that HiLine cups can work with. I look forward to finding out your answer.

William Sheehan, Mr. Hairspray has not given a good, honest review of the virtuoline machine. I'm done with him and Aromacrap.com.

Thank you for the honest review. Called around to talk to people selling the two machines and they said there was more real crema on the Vertuoline. They also said the two machines make slightly different tasting coffee because of the beans, but none of them mentioned the Vertuoline is slightly more acidic. I'll stick w/ the good old fashioned 19 bar pressure systems for now. Got a Lattissima Pro on the way.

Thanks a bunch man. I was looking for a video like this. I do like the newest and thought the vertuoline was going to be the one with the option to do coffee pods, but your vid changed my mind.

Hi Brian, Since the capsules are changing, does that mean the Lattissima will eventually be phased out, including the capsules for that machine?

I would like to know if it is normal for these machines to expell some amount of water before the coffe comes out from the sprout?. It happens almost everytime I brew coffee with my Latissima Plus. I use compatible pods from HiLine and Lavica, instead of Nespresso. May this be an issue with the pods, the machine, or is it normal?

    • @girlygirl4149
      @girlygirl4149 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Alberto González mine expels water after the cycle not before.

I really don't see why people complain about the cost per capsule for Nespresso. At 75 cents or 80 cents per pod, I'm still saving money compared to other pods or going to Starbucks. And I have yet to find a compatible capsule that is as good as the Nespresso. If you were willing to spend $300 or $400, buy the best coffee so that you are really getting the most out of your purchase.

I had a Nespresso Citiz for 4 years and got rid of it because I was tired of bitter acidic taste that every one of the coffees had. I bought a Vertuo because there were a lot of negative reviews about the Lattissima. I love my Vertuo. Mine came with an Aeroccino and makes excellent capuccinos. Best espresso machine I've owned. I've also had a Jura(a very old one) and a Miss Sylvia. Both also made dreadful espresso.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo, NOT normal. There's no way the Vertuo would work with normal Nespresso pods.

I have some health concerns regarding using aluminum capsules. Is it safe?
old researches associate aluminum with Alzheimer disease as you probably know
I would appreciate if you share your thoughts regarding what I said.

Present forever most people consume a lot of food in aluminum packaging every day so unless you don't plan to ever eat from food packaged in aluminum then I doubt it should be the biggest of your worry's.

price point is significant so it damn well better make better coffee. I have a vetuoline and I love it, however it is slightly bitter and it depends on the type of pod/coffee capsule of choice. I would have purchased the latissimo but it was double the cost. Overall, I think it's a great machine for home.

I went from using 2 knockoff capsules in the old machine to using 1 double capsule in the new machine and now pay LESS for original capsules, than I did pay for the knockoffs... And the machine was under 100 bucks (96 Euro) with 100 capsules (!!!) included... Free, essentially...

Did you say using HiLine saves you 50cents per cup. Was this a mistake. I am from the uk and we pay around 38 per capsule with nespresso. I know trump is playing with your chine tarrifs but is he being sneaky with nespresso too. Damn that Trump

Hi Noel! I just watched this video as well. I have had the Vertuo for two years - it was my first espresso machine and I loved it but I think I got a little bit of a "lemon" - I still rave about the Vertuo and a few of my friends have purchased and I do still love it BUT - I just ordered the Latissima One - very excited to get it and try it out, I originally wanted that one but at the time it was too much money and I got my Vertuo on sale. The Vertuo coffee is more money so I'm happy to have more pod options with the Latissima and very interesting about the crema, he is correct, the crema is more of a froth so I can't wait to see what it's like on the Latissima.
