    Btw. you can (kinda) froth the milk with the Latissima Plus. Press the Latte button and just after the frothing part finishes, press it again to cancel the process.

      Knuthen Yes this will work as well :). Thanks for sharing.

      +Knuthen That's the way I always do it. It's the only way to have a cappuccino with espresso first and milk foam afterwards on the Plus.

      Hot water only can be made too by leaving out the pod. Run it once to clean it, then it should run clean the next time.

    Hi,
    I have a question: in this video, you are saying that the temperature of the lattissima pro is 160 which the pro reaches 140 degrees. In the other video, where you are reviewing the lattissima pro, you said it reaches 140 degrees.
    Could someone clearly this, in which video the information is correct?

      Hello i have F3456 Lattissima pro and i am not happy with the hotness of the product. i dont like warm coffe. how can i increase the heat ??

  • @Halbmond
    @Halbmond 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I find that pressing the cleaning button too often on my Plus makes the (soy) milk go stale quicker, because every time a little bit of hot water enters the milk tank. Having it automatically clean after each use doesn't seem like a good idea, unless the new tank is sealed better.

    • @luvpamelanewton
      @luvpamelanewton 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would empty the milk container, clean it and put the milk in the fridge. Then steam clean it afterwards. The Pro seems to clean no matter what after each use and you cannot instruct it when. Wonder if water goes into the milk during each auto self cleaning...

    which one would you recommend when it comes to nespresso lattissima pro and nespresso maestria D500? I got the maestria but I will soon receive the lattissima pro because of a warranty I had on a previous machine.. So I´m not sure which one I want to keep

    Doesn't using third party coffee pods void the warranty?

    When i was at the nespresso shop they told me the difference is only that the pro can make hot water, froth milk and touch buttons, they didnt mention the temperature difference so i bought the plus which made me really unsatisfied with their not enough milk based coffee , i sent them an email that i wanted to replace the machine with the pro by paying the difference but they didnt reply back

    • @Prestochef

      No way a merely 20 degrees hotter froth justifies $200 additional bucks.

      Alberto González i actually sold the plus and bought the pro ... Yes thats how desperate iam for a hot coffee lol and still the pro doesnt serve a hot enough coffee :( ... Yep burned that extra $200

    Lattissima Plus is awesome. $279.99 on sale vs $800.00 for the Pro not on sale... Ummm. Easy choice. Both machines make espressos that taste the same. Lattissima Plus machine is exceptional. I have a separate frother that I already had if I wanted to froth my milk separately, but how often does someone only want just frothed milk? Frothed milk goes with espresso that you will make anyway. Hitting a button to clean the milk feature afterwards, when you are ready, is not difficult to do. The Lattissima fits under counters. I got 2 machines, still cheaper than the Pro all by itself. The prices he gave I could not find anywhere. There is a separate attachment for dispensing hot water just like the Pro has with no difference how to extract the hot water, although he made it seem to be more difficult on the review. It's the same. I wish he gave a better review of the Lattissima Plus, as it is awesome and I have no complaints about how hot it is either.

      Pamela Newton hi. On sale where?

    • @luvpamelanewton
      @luvpamelanewton 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ida tran Macy's, they go on sale there. When I got mine, it was months ago. Keep checking Macy's. You can get an additional 15% off on top of the sale price.
      BTW, if you want only hot water for tea, I found a work around. Run the unit without the pod in it. I flush it without the pod till the water runs clear first.
      Personally, I use distilled water that keeps the machine clean. After I make espresso, I choose to clean it after by running the machine once after I ejected the pod in it to maintain it.
      The hot milk also makes the espresso hot. I don't like espresso black. To me it is hot enough.

    • @luvpamelanewton
      @luvpamelanewton 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ida tran Their aerocino I highly recommend too. I froth milk separately too with it all the time. You can make either hot or cold froth with it. The unit comes with a coupon that you can use towards the purchase of one. It gives you versatility in making drinks.

    How do you go about Tricking the Plus to give hot water? Sometimes I like a full cup with my AeroPress and need the hot water.

    • @luvpamelanewton
      @luvpamelanewton 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Run it without a pod in the machine, using the espresso only side. Run it once to clean it out first. Then again water should come out clean and hot after running it again.

    To me the plus was the better option. Considering the price and lack of counter space. The pro seems much taller and less compact. Plus it’s just me using it and I live in a smaller apartment so I don’t need a bigger water/milk tank.. The biggest difference is the interface with the buttons. Didn’t really matter to me and didn’t suffice the 200 dollar price difference. Also I found the plus to get plenty plenty hot.. who needs it super piping hot. You have to wait for it to cool off a little till you can drink it anyways. The temp was perfect! Maybe one day if I get married, have kids and get a house I will upgrade. And a better paying job lol. But for the foreseeable future the plus is muy bien!

    with this espresso maker, how can you specify whether you want a small capuccino/latte or a large one? how large a cup (in oz.) must be used for each?

    • @luvpamelanewton
      @luvpamelanewton 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      David Hendlish The buttons on top are pre programmed. If you want to change the settings, they are programmable. Each button makes a different type.

    at the 1 minute mark you said they have programable buttons..does that mean settings can be customised.? or is it just that you decide latte or macchiato

    • @juryfilanti
      @juryfilanti 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you can decide the quantity of milk or coffee you want (usually is about the cup size) but the settings are the same

    • @luvpamelanewton
      @luvpamelanewton 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the buttons come pre programmed, but you can set them to customize the amount of espresso that comes out. Both have that feature.

      Are you kidding me? You're attacking his pronunciation? How annoying. Can't stand that. Like everyone needs to talk just like you and the way you talk is the only right way and everyone else is wrong. Have you ever had someone correct how you say a word? It's annoying!

      I was thinking the same thing! I hear the word pronounced that way by others sometimes and I always want to correct them. Why do some think the TTs are silent? It's weird. And yes, I'm one of those.... who corrects (friends only) when they use pronouns incorrectly. It's my duty. lol ;)
