Death is awesome, but he's kind of a "born a badass" character while War needed to go through the most from all the four horsemen (at least from what we know so far) to really understand his purpose and to be able to use his power wisely.
I actually do not think War thinks he is better then death. Especially when he said " it is not death you should be more scared of". I think he just said that because unlike Death which comes easy and fast (like his brother) he will not make it so.
very nice insight you have provided and i totally agree with you on that... but, forgive me for making this pun... "Death comes easy and fast(like his brother) he will not make it so", get ready ladies...
@@cop154 "comes" and "cums" are homophones, so if you read it with that knowledge and a dirty mind, well... you get where i am going with this Death(his brother) CUMs easy and fast but he will not, out of context making it sound like an invitation for... naughty things i am known for this kind of weird sexual jokes and dark humor and i also like to twist others words in making my jokes so when i saw an opportunity i took it, in retrospect making this kind of joke in reply to a comment explaining a quoth about how someone will make you suffer instead of giving a swift death might not be easy to understand, most people not thinking about sex when someone threatens somebody with death but what can i say, i don't think like human beings with a brain that works within normal parameters, i'm... weird, to say the least
It's like when people threaten others with death: Death is a release, leading to an empty sight of darkness. War, in the other hand, is torturous, neverending and have no end, which is why torture is more of a cruel fate than death.
Death and Stife have the most complex relationship out of the horsemen; they have a very 'sour' relationship but yet they would do anything to save or protect each, other while the rest just have close bond with one another.
I can’t lie, even though Darksiders 3 wasn’t that amazing of a game, I loved it just as much as the first one. Darksiders 2 will always be thousands of levels above of the first and third though.
I get what you mean. In terms of character development, Death didn't need to change all that much because even though he comes across as the coldest, he's arguably the most compassionate. War had to learn to fight for what he believed was right, not what others told him to; and that's exactly what happened. In terms of honor and loyalty, I'd say he and Death are tied, but that's only because I don't know much about Strife yet. Fury on the other hand started out as the most arrogant and unbearable Horseman of them all. She easily has the best character development so far. She went from thinking humans are useless to swearing to protect them no matter what. And, she managed to figure out that what she thought she wanted wasn't really what she wanted. That moment where she destroyed Lust's illusion of her brothers hailing her as their leader and she screamed, "You should not have made them kneel!" always seemed really powerful and meaningful to me. I'm glad that Fury changed for the better. I'm just sorry she had to lose Rampage in the process, and not just because I wanted some Rampage gameplay. When she admitted that Rampage was her only companion, I just wanted to hug her. Having said all that, considering Strife was the one that basically taught her how strong humanity really is, I can already infer that he's had a high opinion of humanity since the beginning. And considering he's referred to as the delicate one, it can also be inferred that he's capable of doing way more than just pulling the trigger. Can't wait to play as him.
One thing I think you forgot to mencion has that War enjoys battle, so much that it was very plausable to everyone that he would start the apocalypse early just to enter the fray. Also would could you do a In the mind of Death ? It would be interesting since in my opinion he is a much more developed character.
mightykanohii death is cool. But I think war has the better character. I wouldn’t mind a video about death though. See death is obsessed with saving his brother, while war is on a quest for revenge. Similar to dishonoured. Even when hell, heaven, the council, and now even his own brothers,he still did the right thing.
War is my favorite character of my favorite game and I felt you make him justice on your analisis. Great work, love the video, pelase make another on Death 😀
I eagerly await the Death video that unarguably has to happen. Hope Liam O'Brien and Michael Wincott reprise their roles as War and Death. (Also hope that maybe we can play as them, if not I'm 100% okay with Fury)
I commend you on this accurate film, it's very entertaining. Most of your points were quite well put together. Some jokes were awesome, and I really enjoyed this. Though I don't seem to agree with the conclusion in the last 40 seconds of your video. I think the point of the story ends at 15:30 tbh, and up to that point, you are consistently nailing it. So I don't honestly think he ended up choosing duty. Duty just happened to be aligned with what he wanted. And personally I believe War could care less about what others consider "right". All he did at the end, was that he answered an "A or B" question with a creative response. He actually refers to Abbadon being tempted, and giving in. (Which is pretty stupid for the lord of Heaven' Hellguard forces). Remember, War is not part of Heaven's forces, so Abbadon's question was invalid to begin with. This only helps us to illustrate that just because someone is asking us an "A or B" question, it does not mean we have to answer either. To provide some context for War's motivation, War had an entirely different motivation in his mind. It was easy for him to not get tricked. War does not care what it takes, he just wants the best option available.
YES! There it is and it's even better then what I imagined. Life has been really rough lately but you Mr. Grim still manage to put a smile on my face. Thank you for that and keep up the amazing work! :)
War is my favourite and a great character. A horseman chained and accused with a desperate need for veangance. I’m going to replay DS1 and 2 to prepare for the third. Great vid by the way.
True that. It would be fun where you Play death Who decided to Use a human Body to Power Down himself. Preferably with a sassy attitude like "come on didnt you just boasted that you'll Kill me? Where is that confidence of yours?" Before he finishes off a Boss. A Grim reaper Who is just in for the sake it. Thatll be a fun game imo
I wouldn't have murdered all of the Nephilim. I would have just killed the enough so they couldn't go on with their wars and then, when they were forced to reproduce, I, alongside the angels, would have taught the new born children an alternative path of war that would not involve conquest.
The best line I heard from darksiders was "When war rides, death follows".
_"And as _*_Strife's_*_ anguish falls, _*_Fury_*_ is inevitable..."_
If this sounds corny, I don't know man... I'm a nerd for poetry I guess :v
@@asadelfadillah8008 A lil corny, but badass as hell
@@mavamaification TY :)
War saying "I choose what once, a coward did not" makes me wanna cry. I love him so much and I'm very glad you did him justice.

Mister Depresso Strife or War? Because it sounds like your talking about War and Death
@@42ndblaze43 no. He is referring to strife.

But war is the most loyal horseman so it should should have raised some questions
Who else can’t wait for darksiders 3
@Galewolf ah I thought it was pretty good
...it was disappointing...it was basic in compared to the first two

me too.
All the Horsemen changed during their quest.
War is just a scary goody two-shoes.
Harris Zeboki nope. War is a rage fuelled vengeful horseman who does not care about law.
The Punisher you're incredibly backwards on his motives...
Kinda is
I can't wait for darksiders 3, I remember playing the first one and hyping up for the second one and now 6 whole years later we'll get to play as Fury
5:09 Ainz-sama detected!
The quality of this video is rlly good. Most underrated video of the year.
"No, not alone." *Mic drop*
Speech level up edit was flawless.
Darksiders?! Here! Yes!!!
That video was actually amazing. Really wish you will do more videos about the Darksiders franchise.

Love your stuff and love Darksiders can't go wrong here
I can't say this enough, THANK YOU FOR THE LOVE YOU'VE SHOWN TO MY ALL TIME FAVORITE VIDEO GAME SERIES! DARKSIDERS!
I've suggested to do a philosophy of WAR on wise crack but THEY HAVEN'T DONE IT. BUT YOU SIR HAVE DONE IT and THANK YOU
Due to the references in this, can we get a World of Warcraft character in an In the Mind Of vid. Preferably the Lich King, Illidan or Sargeras
War is my favourite and a great character. A horseman chained and accused with a desperate need for veangance. I’m going to replay DS1 and 2 to prepare for the third. Great vid by the way.
God I love your videos, so glad you did a video on Jack of Blades or I might not have found you and be able to witness this and your other videos.
That intro is pure gold.
Fallout:War... War never changes
War:That's a... lie
Your Videos are just getting better, i love it!
Keep up the great work
War almost looks like the result if Arthas had grown a pair.
Im currently replaying the first in anticpation for darksiders 3. But i have to pause to watch this.
do in the mind of: booker dewitt (bioshock infinite)
Watcher: dont forget who holds the leash
War: i have not
I really love Darksiders. All of them have been worthwhile IMO, but 2 remains my favorite
In the mind of Death and Fury PLEASE King

Dude continue doing the intro dances! I love them!
truly the best spoiler dance
7:48-7:59 When you first take a cip of that crisp Mcdonald's Dr.Pepper!!!! :'D :'D
I'd love to see a video on Strife when you get the chance. I think Genesis will win back your love for the series.
5:08, Oh hey Ainz, what's up?

War aka Illidan Stormrage!!!!!! (Extreme fan girly squeal)
The two characters share a voice actor
Pleasure do the next horseman of death
We need one of these about Death
Come for the content, stay for the dancing
The voice acting in this game makes me jealous
We need the mind of death too now
Hope to see the others soon.
Well, only three riders left... x)
this was fucking awesome.
Bone-Daddy will *always* be number one. There is no argument.

For some weird reason i can't get my self to finish Darksider 1, let alone buy the 2nd one. Thank you for this video.
Dat intro! Perfect. Do in the mind of death.

Now for an In The Mind Of: Death. Doooo eeeet
WE IN IT NOW BOYS
I love Darksiders

dem sick beats tho

So we can say
War was the loyalest and strongest
Death the wisest and slowest
Fury the ragest and fastest
strife the comedian and the best in range
Everyone with ruin- cool horse I guess...
Me- WHOOSHA GOOD BOI WHOOOOSHA GOOD BOI MY BUBUUUU
I love their horses more than the devs lol.
And of course Matt voices him
6:55 dbfz UwU
7:32 a hat in time 0w0
CRISPY INTROOOO
Death is my favorite Horseman
Looking forward to Deaths version of this
I think it's time for Death's episode. ISN'T IT?
But octopath was dope :(
I love you man
War's crime was his duty above all else. Kinda like being in the military, giving 100% only to be royally screwed in the long run.
Just my 2 cents
At least Manny is a better character than Mr. Voiced-by-Top dollar
Finally, btw when's your next livestream?
Ah, my next stream will be later today!
You should do one on Death too
Should do a video of all the horsemen.
PLEASE, if possible, do one about Death ^^
Awesome video, loved it. Can you make In the Mind of: Death now please? I would very much like to see that one :)
you earn a like from intro alone.
Illidan's voice 😍
Darksiders were you get to play as illiadan i mean war yes war the horseman and the elf demon
Definitely need to do death next. :)
439 likes no dislikes you're that awesome
Agony being disappointing as hell ...
Well hell ...
that dance tho
I approve
I still hate that they have fury and strife rather than pestilence and famine
What is the woman with the whip at 1:20 from?
Why did i not play this
that intro lol.
Please do in the mind of Death
will you do the rest of the hoursmen? or another for death?
