  • For years, people have asked: why can't S.T. Dupont make a Ligne 2 with a torch.
Turns out, S.T. Dupont has tried to do this before, at least a couple of times. In 2023, the French accessory company best known for its lighters came out with its latest attempt: the Slimmy. Priced between $350-375, the Slimmy is the same shape and dimensions as the Ligne 2, but with a flat flame torch instead of the traditional double soft flames.

I've also had mine for a month and never had any issue with overheating, so maybe a defect as mentioned within comments. Overall love mine also in gold & perfect size for pockets.

A slim pocket lighter that you can't put back in your pocket because it gets too hot is simply crazy. Of course if you are laying it down on something or putting it into a sleeve of some sort, then this seems fine.

I'm not sure if perhaps yours is defective, I've had mine for 3-4 months and use it regularly and the top never gets too hot even when lighting thick gauge cigars.
Has never failed to light once and looks great I'm very happy with mine!

Great review and nice lighter. But I’ll stick with my Xicar Verano flat flame.
