I really like what you are doing! Not many have the guts to share any of their work regarding anything like this. Arma 3 Keybinds always pained me. After years of tooth grinding consideration I feel I have a very good set of binds for me. Makes the game feel almost like Stalker but of course jankier as always. One of the things that pained me the most is that arma didn't have a way to input very sepecific combinational keybinds. Anything + mouswheel down or up is off limits other than the preset ones in the box on the right side of the settings. This very limit forced me to save me control presets for when I play multiplayer and for when I play singleplayer, where I can use things like enhanced movement, melee mods things like that. I do wish that all the conflicting addon + the base game binds would be detected by whatever system they have in place. Some conflicts aren't even a big deal sometimes depending on what the conflict is. Contextually the events are disjoint so under those contexts that bind would be fine on either case because the existence of one event means the absence of the other. If that makes sense... Anyway, if only CBA had a way to input ANY keybind imaginable. Then the game would run sooo good... Or better yet, if CBA took complete control over the keybinds, that way people could swap between binds even better. More modular. It could also detect the binds that exist in their profile but do not have to in yours due to missing mods or something. I'm day dreaming.
I found that CBA keybinds usually overwrite base keybinds, so for things like Enhanced Movement, I bind the redundant controls to the same key so they essentially are the same with and without hte mod. For all the reasons you stated, I have had to test so many of the keys out in different contexts, so that I would minimize any overlapping or what people would call bugs. Anyhow, I am still working on this project and I might have an acceptable way to transfer and update keybinds for both base and CBA.
Yo nanner, I love what you are doing. I need a better machine to fully take advantage of some of the mods (like the optional graphics collection), but I love the idea of simplifying the control scheme or at least make it as easy as possible for newcomers. Keep it up!
thanks to you, I rediscovered the joys of redoing the entire single player campaign. However there is only one thing I can't seem to do in a game and that is using the grenade launcher assigned with a weapon. It's impossible for me to use it even by changing the firing mode and I don't know how to do it on a lot of missions I get a little stuck sometimes, especially when there are vehicles.
The performance should be better. Just make sure you follow my FPS boost video and update all of the graphics settings to your needs after installing A3R.
No. If there was, the mod would be weapon specific. For example, you can change rate of fire on one of the vanilla mounted machine guns. I think you can do it with one of the light machine guns too
how do we join the community to contribute mods, i saw that there was a helmet cam mod apparently only for multiplayer, i am in the process of making a bodycam that will only work by a RESHADE preset, work is in progress and if I can let you know, no problem, great job in any case for this arma3 REMASTERED
Hi nanner, I'm pressing f2 then 7 to change an ai combat stance but when I press number 7 nothing happens. There is no menu. Could you help with this please? Thanks
Instead of pressing 7, use the scroll wheel to reach 7, and then press F to select option 7. Using the mouse is necessary due to some of the mods taking over the 1-9 keys and interfering with the vanilla commands keys
ive got a problem with the a3r mods i don't know which one it is but i got the audio graphics and core and for some reason my guy is panic breathing constantly for no reason any ideas
the mods are awsome but the keybinds are. imagine just wanting to check your weapon or swaping sight with funny placement keybind. its ruinning the whole gameplay

No. If there was, the mod would be weapon specific.

It is compatible with Antistasi. It will either not change FPS or lower it. It will make for smoother gameplay.

You can't, because the MP server limits your FPS. The server owner has to make changes to increase FPS

its been a whike since I have had that problem. I believe its an addon option. if you copy the a3r addon options, then you won't hear that anymore.
