Several years ago (I was 14 yrs old at the time) I once stopped by central Vietnam while waiting for a plane to Ha Noi. Decided to order some chicken from Jollibee and the worker had such a heavy accent I could not for the life of me understand what she was saying. Tried to get my mum to translate for me but even she couldn't understand the accent. It was probably the scariest and most traumatic moment of my life.
I'm currently learning vietnamese, and I love the easy languages format!! I was so happy to see that there are some more recent vietnamese videos on here now
My parents are from Đà Nẵng and we would say “làm răng” instead of “mần răng” or “làm sao” for some reason. This video clarified “mần” for me so thank you for having this comparison!
The word "Ba and ma" sound similar with Indonesian malay :Ba' and ma' Means dad and mom And Bi bo sound similar with Indonesian malay and Javanese "Tibo", means falling down I'm Indonesian, and I love Vietnam culture and history ❤
As an overseas Vietnamese my parents drop to Hue for a month to relatives I've never met before for the first time at the age of 11. 15years later....I still don't understand them 😢😅😅(dad's from Hue but speaks Hanoi accent)
For me, a Vietnamese, it is still so excited to see this clip, I knew more about my country. Tks Easy Vietnamese Team, we are waiting more clips
I'm also waiting more video too

awww how cute how are u doing
They are dialects, not just "accents". "Accents" suggests that there are just pronunciation differences, but there's obviously a lot more than that.
well if accents is pronouncination difference then he's speaking an accent. he pronounces "huế" as "huệ". The tones aren't right
@@tommarnt Ok but is that a dialectical difference as well?

Rất thú vị!
The Huế accent is probably the hardest accent of Vietnamese to understand in my opinion 😭
Quảng nam chứ bạn :v
@@htt1867 Cái gì?
For me the hardest accent is Nghệ An
@@kngr_chpp Yeah, The accents in the Bắc Trung Bộ region is the hardest to understand
Actually, Quang Nam accent is the most difficult to understand, because they change a lot of vowels compared to the northern accent
Hue dialect sounds cool !!!
Hue sounds softer and more pleasant to my ears as someone who doesnt understand Vietnamese
Can someone from Hue easily unstated Hanoi and/or Saigon dialect?
I'm not from hue, but my parents are from there. I have no problem with both.
Vietnamese sounds like advanced Chinese
