This is fantastic. I’ve been looking for a good one. I usually have to buy more celery and carrots than I need so I take the carcass and make my own stock if you do it on a smoker it adds a deeper flavor. Nothing better on this snowy Arkansas day than this thanks and keep up the great work

Thinking about making it again on this snowy Mississippi day! Stay warm.

I'm retired and have plenty of time, so I make my own chicken bone stock and avoid the salty store-bought broth. I just did this yesterday, so here goes. I cut up a whole chicken, saving and freezing the breasts and put the bony carcass + legs/things in the stock pot. I added carrots, celery and onion and filled up with water. No salt, no garlic and simmered for 6 hours. After 3 hours or so, I took out the legs and thighs and reserved the meat to go into the Jewish Penicillin (chicken noodle soup). The stock is strained and used to make the soup. In the stock goes more finely chopped carrots, celery, a little onion and garlic, parsley, salt and pepper to taste, thyme, basil, oregano and Heath Riles Garlic Jalapeno seasoning. PROTIP: If the chicken stock is too bitter, add some sugar -or- a half cup or so of V-8, -or- some tomato paste. Oh, and don't forget the noodles. Low boil until the veggies are tender. I made a huge batch and froze the extra.

Looks great! Thank you.🙏 Why not just cook the noodles in the soup stock and add cooked meat at the end?

Well, I made this recipe exactly like you did. Wife and I watched the video as we cooked. Well my dumb… wasn’t paying attention and used SPICY Chicken Broth. I didn’t even know that was a thing. Still good just a bit HOTT. Look forward to trying it again with right broth.

    Looks and sounds delicious!
My problem with this is that, if I make the effort to smoke a chicken, I'm going to eat the wings, legs and thighs, lol. Same thing with a rotisserie 😅
It's tough not to eat while deboning...

I had a funny thought while watching this video. What if you mentioned a special seasoning to be exposed at the end and you pull a dirty well worn work boot out of the pot? Hahaha, save that one for April fools day! Would be even funnier if you could get Malcom over and pull it on him after or while he’s tasting the soup!

We smoked a whole chicken beforehand. Can always do that, cook breasts, or buy a rotisserie if you're short on time.
