I spent 45 years in a cockpit beginning as a pilot in the USAF and ending as an international airline Captain. Sunrises and sunsets combined with cloud layers and water features provided me with fantastic, beautiful, scenes throughout my many years of sitting in God’s front row seats. Not once did the thought of flying “OVER” the sun or “THROUGH” the sun cross our minds 😂😂. But often, we commented about how the beauty we were witnessing had to be divinely created.

Even if the sun were inside the dome itself it's still reasonable to concluded that you could exist in atmosphere at a higher location then then sun would in a supposed dome as long at it sits at any other location then the point at the top, obviously so. Sunrises and sunsets combined with cloud layers and water features provided me with fantastic, beautiful, scenes throughout my many years of sitting in God’s front row seats. Not once did the thought of flying “OVER” the sun or “THROUGH” the sun cross our minds 😂😂. But often, we commented about how the beauty we were witnessing had to be divinely created.

But is still ABOVE ☝️the horizon. This demonstrates that the horizon does indeed drop with increasing altitude. If your eyes are above the horizon (even at ground elevation), the horizon is by definition below eye 👁️ level.
The observable fact that the sun 🌞 illuminates the cloud canopy in a fiery reflection from BELOW at sunrise 🌄 or sunset 🌇 while casting shade on the top of the clouds speaks volumes. In the video below 👇 either the rising sun is actually nestled within the cloud ⛅ canopy- lower in elevation than the tallest possible cloud (which is a mature cumulonimbus incus anvil) at less than 60,000 feet in altitude... Or you must concede it's actually lowering it's altitude angle on the celestial sphere 🌐 due to Earth's rotation. Also one must admit that this aircraft ✈️ and all the others with the same perspective are just casually flying circles around the local sun as they travel in any other direction other than north or south 🤣
