- Hi there Star Wars collectors. It has been a while since I have done a Worst to First video, so here we are, a rundown of the worst to best Star Wars Vintage Collection Han Solo figures. I am judging this on both the action figure and the card back and will also be including figures from the Vintage Original Trilogy Collection (VOTC) and the Vintage Saga Collection (VSC).

Yeah number 2 in my list.
I was happy to pick up stormtrooper Han on sale at Toys R Us for $10, it was the only one left and good VC figures hardly ever go on sale here in Canada.
Bossk's Bounty this is a tuff one for me because I just started keeping my card backs after watching your video on how to open them without ripping them, and I open all my stuff even doubles . I just can’t not open them...lol a 42 year old child when it comes to Star Wars. With that said my favorite Han figure is his empire strikes back version that came out recently, not the one with his long coat but the other one with the regular jacket in blue
I have four of those. My favorite Han Solo figure of all time is bespin Han Solo from the Cloud City playset from 1981.
Bespin Han was always favourite Han back in the day but that votc one is a real good fig and cardback.
Overall, my number one would be Solo in the Carbonite...👌🏼💯✔ Absolutely amazing cardback and figure and carbonite block...👍🏼

The one thing I’m hoping for is we get a new release soon, that either incorporates the lower portion of the Solo version, or a new sculpt all together.
The Solo version features an accurate DL44, nicely sculpted leg and boot detail as well as a nicely proportioned and near-perfect holster sculpt.
Great list very cool that you includes lines like SAGA &Trilogy Collection etc.
I always remember as a kid thinking the same thing we got Luke in Stormtrooper disgusting were is Han Solo they were a duo so that was an odd choice by Keener not to make them both!!

Great video! I hope Hasbro will give us an all new Han Solo Hoth Gear and Han Solo from A New Hope (which is my favorite cardback) for the Vintage Collection.
The face on the trooper Han is just too good. Already have him posed with other stormtroopers. This may be arguable but I like the Han helmet more that the rogue one. Something about it just reminds me more of a new hope. Maybe the duller color

Great video. I agree with your list mostly. Maybe switch up 1st and 2nd place. I miss not seeing the original Kenner card on the backs of the new figures. Now we have all the warnings in multiple languages.

About the young Han, i gotta say that the headsculpt is actually pretty great. I have it and repainted it. I'm not a pro artist or anything, but most of hasbro's headsculpts from the last 10 or 12 years are actually pretty good.
It's always the poor painting that ruin the figures!

Great choices! the classic 78' card back image used on the VOTC 2004 figure is such a nostalgia kick+ the figure still holds up really well. Hoping you are going to do Luke and Leia?

I'd have to say for me the First pick for Han Solo as far as the head sculpt goes would have to be the Yavin Award Ceremony Han,; the head sculpt at least on my figure is amazing and it looks exactly like Harrison Ford in New Hope.
I don't know what happened to my figure sculpt for the most recent Stormtrooper Han, but they messed up on the head and Han's eyes aren't even painted in correctly and he looks like he's stoned to me. I probably have to go buy a new Han Stormtrooper. The one you have pictured in this installment looks great.... I also thought the Endor Trenchcoat Han would be a close second for #2 or #3 stance.
I thought the Retro rerelease for the classic Kenner Han was also very good and true to the original Big headed Han.

Prices for some of the older ones are going crazy at the mo. Hard to tell if they will come down after the pandemic. Just get the ones you really like the look of first. The others can come later.
Bossk's Bounty Yeah I would absolutely love the vintage collection Jango Fett and Commander Cody but both go for stupid money on eBay! Hopefully we might see them in a repack wave in the future, looking forward to the next vid!
Great list ! I'd have votc han at no1 and han stormie in two . Purely because votc han has the best card image ever and a cracking fig, han stormie is a great fig also for deffs but the card is a stinker I.m.o.

Totally agree with #1. Awesome figure and glad it is in my collection. I may have to order the Jabba's Palace on Amazon to get Han in carbonite. I have a good feeling about this.

I only have 3 TVC Han figures. The Bespin outfit, the Stormtrooper disguise, and the Jabba's palace figure.

VOTC and Bespin are my favorite. I haven't seen the Stormtrooper on the shelf because, well, I never see Star Wars Figures on the shelf any more🙄
Great video as always! Just caught your custom Armorer's Forge video and that got me wondering. Do you think Hasbro should be worried about 3D printers cutting into their profits the same way as Warhammer 40K has been dipping into theirs? I think the fans are getting sick and tired of not getting the Vintage Collection figures, creatures, ships and sets they want and predict the fans will start making their own. Your thoughts?
Tim, with the VC Yavin Han Solo figure skyrocketing in price, is there an alternative Han figure that is close in accuracy to its Yavin counterpart? Thanks much.
If I’m not mistaken the Han Solo Stormtrooper figure was a Target exclusive here in the states and was impossible to get for a lot of people, like most exclusives at Walmart. I managed to get a couple of them but I recall spending weeks driving all over town just to get 2 or 3 of them. So frustrating. Not sure if it ever got re-released on fan channel sites. A decent choice for your #1. Thanks.
My favorite Han is the original (your number 2) as you said 16 years and it still holds up with or exceeds the newest figures, and the picture on the cardback is hands down the best one out of all the cards. The only way to improve on it is to give it the true FX paint job on the face and then I'm not sure it'll improve it by much.
I have that bespin han vc50 and the young han solo with jacket and loose without I think hidden amongst the figures on the cd mini tower unit I have the saga collection han solo in his blister protection case and the recarded original version .

I agree stormtrooper Han is my favorite as well. First of all his head sculpt and second, he's in a stormtroopers outfit. Also, if you want an extra stormtrooper, you just put the helmet on and viola, you have another trooper.
I have the collector tins of 2007 also with vintage (2004 had 12 with Boba Fett and 2006 had 12) but now each movie in 2007 collector tins had three figures for each of the six movies EP I-VI and the extra Cantina Band. Too bad I didn't like the Prequels and bought only EP IV-VI+Cantina Band but I have those on Vintage Cards (different molds)!
I don't mind the old trench coat Solo..my favorite is not on VC, it's an old Saga one from Hoth with full snow gear and a two handed beacon finder..wouldnt mind the Trooper one as well..cheers Tim🍺🍺🍻

I don't know if anybody else remembers but Kenner did release Han in Stormtrooper diguise, but it was through General Mills cereals and came in a bag not on cardback.
Yeah pretty sure that was POTF2 not true vintage.

I hope Hasbro gives us a new Han ANH vc figure with new head sculpt and maybe some other improvements.
its a shame that most han figures do not have any where near the "boba fett" type of treatments in regards to quality
I've noticed that too. Just recently started collecting VC figures, and that new Boba Fett is like a mini Black Series Boba Fett. Wish same detail would go to all characters

The Solo Han is way higher on my personal list but I do agree the card back isnt great at all!
I’ve never been able to wrap my head around wanting a Han Solo figure and choosing a non-Harrison Ford version. I mean... Harrison Ford IS Han Solo. Why would I want some other figure? Just doesn’t make sense. And the Ewan McGregor/ Alec Guiness argument doesn’t apply because the Ford figures are based on him when he was younger and closer to age as the Solo actor is now.

It's apt that Solo cardback is at the bottom of the list since Solo is one of the worst movies ever made.
Thank God the clone trooper is plain white. Ive NEVER liked the colored fruit stripe troopers that have squad names like he 303rd. I mean REALLY who cares abou the 501st or whatever. I ABOSLUTE HATE colored stripes on. BOth clone and Storm Troopers. Not to mention all the silly clone trooper names,....lol😂😂😂😂😂🎉
