Rice hitting 1k yards at 40 is wild. Not to mention when Rice was doing it, it was during a time where it was all about the run game. The west coast offense changed that but even then that offense focuses on short throws. It was truly remarkable that he put up the numbers he did. Larry is definitely deserving of being in the convo.
The main reason why Larry Fitzgerald isn’t even in the GOAT conversation is that most people haven’t really watched him play. Being on the Cardinals was almost like being exiled in terms of media coverage. Sure, the national media and fans have seen some of his greatest moments in the playoffs, but I bet most people watching this video haven’t seen the majority of his highlights. Just look at the numbers-his highlight videos have less than 10% of the views compared to other great receivers like Rice, Megatron, Moss, Antonio Brown, Owens, Marvin Harrison, OBJ, and Julio Jones. The NFL doesn’t track stats for diving or spectacular catches, but if they did, Fitzgerald would probably be at the top. Think about the most iconic catches in NFL history-Odell Beckham’s one-hander, DeAndre Hopkins’ between-the-legs grab, Julio Jones’ sideline catch in the Super Bowl, or Justin Jefferson’s 4th-and-17 against the Bills. Those plays are unforgettable because they’re not just routine; they’re extraordinary. Fitzgerald has been making those kinds of plays his entire career. Larry "Mossed” almost twice as many players as Moss. Let that sink in.
exactly, playing with the cards ruined his chance at goat status. imagine if he was on an actually good team, everyone would be talking about him like the others you mentioned.
At his peak, he was never in the GOAT discussion. Aside from his spectacular run in 2008, he was rarely in the discussion of best receiver in the league. The guy was a really good receiver but he has too many contemporaries that were better.
@@atlanta1290 that's because the way the majority of people judge wide recievers is based dependent stats like yards, and tds. The actual way to grade a reciever is to look at independent stats like drops, diving catches and what not
@@frenchtoastmaffia You do have to assess based on production. Otherwise we go down the rabbit hole of countless immeasurable. At his peak, his performances simply don’t reflect GOAT discussion.
He is in my mind the GOAT. I wholeheartedly believe if he had a half way decent QB his whole career there wouldn’t have been any doubt. If he had curt cousins throwing him the ball he’s the GOAT. if he had Philip Rivers tossing him the rock unanimously at least in the convo for GOAT.

Damn.. this video hit hard…I can’t express the gratitude I have for you perna for using your platform to recognize a pillar to Az community in the past 2 decades. Truly showing the greatness of your channel in how you recognize the players that NFL sorely forgets and that the sports media should give recognization towards. I appreciate the praise you give for his off the field stuff because i believe he gets over looked in that aspect like he does on the field. Especially since if Larry saw this he probably would think you were way to kind to him but that’s just his greatness. That man truly has set a standard that not only cardinals origination should have but the whole NFL. Loved growing up watching those cardinals teams regardless of how tough it was because of Larry and was proud to say cheer for a honorable man. Thank you again for letting me get reminisce on Larry legends greatness.❤
If there was one player I wish got a ring it would be Larry Fitzgerald, and I am not even a Cardinal fan... Man was a consummate professional and it is such a shame we never him with a star QB outside of Warner.
You should do one of these for Tim Brown too. He was a very similar player; Hall of Famer despite the fact that he had no good quarterback till the end of his career.
Larry is the definition of a great receiver and just a great teammate. Its really a shame he couldnt cap off his career with a superbowl win but it really doesnt diminish his stat-line at all when you have a record like "more tackles than dropped passes." You should do an Eric Moulds vid. Every season except 1 he averaged over 10 yards a catch and one season he was averaging 20 yards a catch. Dont see a lot of videos out on him.
@@cinema_yoyoure probably right, especially with how good recievers are now. I understand he might not have the accolades that most recievers did or do. But it'd make for a good video especially with the Bills reciever room and the rhetoric around Josh and his recievers now that Diggs is gone. Moulds only missed 6 games for the bills in his entire tenure there and had the franchise reception and yardage record until Diggs showed up 2020. His 8 seasons there he was 7th overall for yardage at that point in the entire nfl which aint bad. The dude was a huge part of the team. Unfortunately he suffered by virtue of being a Bill. He also set a playoff record against the dolphins. Dude averaged 80 catches 1k yards a season. Buffalo loves that guy, I imagine itd get a lot of views.
My fellow AZ fan sent me this video.. Thank you, Larry was our only glimpse of hope for several years. Now I am afraid I will die before ever seeing my team win a Superbowl
Honorable mention: Art Monk Was the all time reception record holder at the time of his retirement, as well as the first receiver to ever get over 100 receptions in a season. He did this all during a run heavy era, on a run heavy team, and was a win-first type of player who would fight for every yard, and was an excellent blocker. Could make a legitimate argument for the real best WR of all time, but it has to be put into context, the difference of era, shared the field with other great receivers who took catches and yards away, and the fact that there were only 14 games a season for the first half of monks career. He never played with an elite QB, let alone a great or hof worthy Qb Even Joe Gibbs himself apologized to Monk at his hall of fame acceptance for "running the ball so much, because if not he would have been known as the best receiver ever"

Three players I wanted to see win a ring: Randy Moss, Junior Seau and Larry Fitzgerald. I still say the Cardinals got hosed by an incorrect call on Santonio Holmes’ toe tap
I grew up in Arizona and got to watch Larry from when I was a 14 year old kid in 2004 until retired when I was 30. He is for sure the best receiver in NFL history. People forget that he rarely had a top tier quarterback throwing him the ball. Imagine if he had Aaron Rogers or Peyton Manning for his entire career? He would have blown away every single receiving record .
I'm a Raiders fan. But you're literally the ONLY Broncos fan who I love and respect. I've BEEN saying Larry is the best ever. Larry Legend NEVER complained or made noise while on bad teams. Worked on every single down he was on the field. He also rooted for his teammates, including other wide outs. HOFer of there ever was one
Okay, I get the Larry Fitzgerald argument. I do. However, you will never find another athelete in any sport who maximized their own talent more than Jerry Rice. He was the perfect symphony of god given talent and a relentless pursuit to be able to use every last ouce of that talent. His training regime was legendary. There's a reason Rice was still a starting wide receiver into his 40s for crying out loud. Not even Jordan trained like Rice did. Larry Fitzgerald absolutely deserves to be in the conversation as the best of all time. It's just that, for me, when that conversation is said and done, the final period belongs to Jerry Rice.
Not to make it a contest of who did more. But to pick past & present additions, I nominate Walter Payton & Derrick Henry 2 to add to a “Mt. Rushmore” of combined talent & work ethic along with Jerry.
Sorry, but off-the-field arguments don’t really apply when discussing who’s the greatest on the field. Sure, Jerry Rice’s work ethic allowed him to play longer, but things like running hills and sprinting after Super Bowls are too far removed from actual games to factor into the GOAT debate. What really matters is what they did on the field, and in football, that’s heavily influenced by the people around you. Jerry was the luckiest receiver ever-playing with five MVPs, two Hall of Famers, and the greatest offensive coach, Bill Walsh, in an era when teams prioritized stopping the run. His stats are largely a result of those ideal conditions.
If we are talking about greatest athletes in their respective sports then you better throw Michael Phelps in there. Easily the most dominate athlete of all time.
Great video and great call. Not enough people understand what a great man this guy is! He is a GOAT in sports, in his personal life, and in charity work. Thank you for this!
Fitzgerald deserved a SB ring. It's sad that he never got one. In his final few years I was really hoping he'd go to a contender and get one. I'm not even an Arizona fan but Larry was one of my favorite players.
Been a lifelong Cardinals fan since their 1998 playoff run, and I completely agree with you on why Larry is the true greatest receiver of all-time. And it's not because I am a Cards fan, but simply on how he was able to put up the numbers he did, as consistently as he did, with the QB play he had. Okay, maybe a little bit is of me being a Cards fan. But the facts speak for themselves as you mention. Also the fact he was so loyal. My three favorite Cardinals of all-time are (in order) Adrian Wilson, Aeneas Williams, and Larry Fitzgerald. Give me Aeneas over Deon anyday, Larry Legend is Larry Legend, and in his prime, I feel A-Dub was the best Safety in the NFL at the time. All three of those guys could have demanded a trade at anytime due to their greatness, and yet they stayed devoted and loyal to AZ. Loyalty as a friend/colleague is the single most important trait to me as a person, and those three represented it in spades. GO CARDINALS!!!!!!
Watching Larry tear up defenses on his way to the Super Bowl is my earliest memory as a football fan. He’ll forever be my favorite receiver of all time.
The body control of this man, mid-air or on the ground, gave him an unmatched catch radius. He was the first player since Barry Sanders to make me question whether or not the laws of physics apply to this man in the same way as they do to you or I. But his most impressive stat? The Tackles vs. Drops one is pretty awesome, but I think the most important and impressive stat for Larry Fitzgerald: He's the ONE wide receiver to whom Richard Sherman would NOT talk trash, and Sherman was on two different division rival teams to the Cards. No ego, community pillar, and so good even Sherman wouldn't talk crap to him? Yeah, the man's a legend. Also, as an Eagles fan, I just want to apologize to Larry for whatever our city did to offend him. Dude torched the Eagles every time we faced him.
The fact he had only 29 drops (out of 2100 targets) and 37 tackles in his career is crazy. That shows how good his hands really were and how bad the quarterbacks really were.
Thank you for making this. I've been saying for years that Larry Fitzgerald might be the most underrated player in NFL history. Legitimately an all-time top 5 WR, maybe top 3. Best hands in the history of the game and also became one of the best blocking WRs ever after he was asked to do that more. Single-handedly dragged a mediocre Arizona team to the Super Bowl (and were seconds away from winning it) with the greatest individual playoff run I've ever seen. If this man played in a bigger market with better teams, he'd be considered a football god.
Larry Fitzgerald is hands down the most underrated wide receiver in NFL history! Sinplu because for 85% of his entire career he was on a failing Cardinals team that usually lost more games then they won and rarley ever made it to the playoffs smh 🤦 If he was on a Super Bowl winning franchise he'd be a household name and talked about with the likes of Jerry Rice, T.O, Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson and Julio Jones Ect... If not looked at as above some of those guys 🤷. Dudes career stats are PHENOMENAL! Especially for a guy who most the time has had to deal with mediocre and sub-par below average QB's if not absolute TRASH ones and dude was still putting up over a 1,000 yards and 7 to 8 TD's a season 🤯🔥. He was the most consistent every down WR who had a tendency to SHINE in 3rd down situations when... Dude is a top 10 WR ALL TIME if not you could argue top 5 but him never winning a ring really makes people put him on the wayside and forget about him whenever they debate the best to ever do it at WR. He is NEVER mentioned but he absolutely should be on the regular!
As a Vikings fan I grew up loving Larry, and so did a bunch of other kids in Minnesota my age. After his last contract with AZ ended I saw a whole bunch of posts speculating that he would sign with the VIkings and give us the "hometown discount"
As a life long cards fan, you’ve won me over huge with this one. Larry will be in the HOF when he’s eligible but he’ll still be underrated. Guy was pure magic, and everyone just ignores him cause he was on the Cards. I’ve been making the GOAT argument for years, but am always laughed out of the room. Thank you for giving him the respect he deserves.
If you're picking 4 receivers to be on your time traveling fantasy team- the superbowl-less receivers are probably better than the receivers with the most superbowls. L Fitzgerald R Moss T Owens C Johnson vs J Rice L Swann J Stallworth M Irvin
I coached Larry’s son in gymnastics for a couple classes in Arizona while I was in college. I got to shake his hand and that was about it. Always seemed like a stand-up guy and even before that he was probably my favorite NFL player of all-time even though I grew up a Broncos fan. He still is probably my favorite NFL player Edit: I should clarify that I was just a substitute coach for his sons’ normal coach
If you couldn’t tell by my profile pic, I’m a huge Fitz fan. I had no LA team growing up and my dad liked Kurt Warner and when I was old enough to like football for myself he was on the cardinals, and thus they became my team. My earliest memories of the NFL are of Fitz humbly tearing up defenses and his insane playoff run(santonio didn’t catch it btw, his right foot rests on his left and doesn’t make contact with the ground while he has possession, fook the steelers) Love the Hail Larry, perfect example of him as a player, and his career in retrospect. He’s at his best when you need it the most, and that’s an incredible quality to have. That, and him constantly having to put the team on his back in crunch time. Nobody has done more with less in the history of the NFL, save for maybe Barry Sanders. Great dude, amazing player, and an absolute legend 🤙🏽
It’s sad to see honestly because a lot of people gloss over Larry. I mean I know I’m bias as a cards fan but the dude was what every pro athlete should be. Humble, respectful, and able to accomplish super human feats at the same time even with the revolving door of QB’s the cards had. The guy was a true role model for young kids.
Hated playing that dude two times a year, as a Seahawks fan. Saw him live in 2011 when his Cardinals came to Seattle - that was a gross game, I think the final score was 13-10 Seahawks - but he did catch a TD pass in that game. (18:50)
As a Broncos fan in Arizona, thank you for recapping one of the reasons we also root for the Cardinals here, Larry Legend. A great homage to a great player and even better human.
As a Niner fan I have long stated that the ONLY WR remotely near Rice is Larry F. I recall a game vs AZ where we were shutting AZ out. Fitz was on the sideline practicing how how to catch a particular pass. He wasn't yelling at the coach. He wasn't moping by himself. He was trying to make himself better. Shortly afterwards Larry made the exact type of catch he was practicing in the game. Then with like 0 time left He split our D and caught a TD to prevent a shutout. And I'm like wow. This guy is obsessed. Rice honestly had a mental disorder man. He was so obsessive that if he weren't a football player would land him in a psych ward . The guy was a total freak. Obsessive over anything. Fitz has that too. Rices record will never fall. You need to play 20 years scoring 10 TD EVERY YEAR to get as many TD as Rice. We treat a WR who scores 10 TD in a single season as a God now.😂 He's nothing. 20 freaking years of 10 TD a year. 😂😂😂 Impossible to match.
He was definitely great. BUT. and Hear me out.... Playing for 20 years really helps with the record books. Try to tell me Fitz wouldn't have put up those numbers with Rice's situation.
The amount of clips shown just in this video where he's doubled and still makes an amazing catch, than casually flips the ball to the ref is insane. Best player I've ever got to watch.
As a Steelers fan I can tell you that a lot of us were cheering for Fitz during that Superbowl game. We didn't want him to win but we sure as hell loved that man. He's a Pitt man, we'll always love him

the amount of aging and stress on his face as a season goes on, compounded with the Broncos last few seasons is tough. that is the face of 86% of NFL fan bases. thank you Brandon for suffering with us all and showing your true emotions. you are a voice of the people the McAffee show will never be able to exhibit anymore.
He was loyal to them until the end and he's not even officially retired yet
At his peak, he was never in the GOAT discussion. Aside from his spectacular run in 2008, he was rarely in the discussion of best receiver in the league. The guy was a really good receiver but he has too many contemporaries that were better.
@@atlanta1290 that's because the way the majority of people judge wide recievers is based dependent stats like yards, and tds. The actual way to grade a reciever is to look at independent stats like drops, diving catches and what not
@@frenchtoastmaffia You do have to assess based on production. Otherwise we go down the rabbit hole of countless immeasurable.
The guy was a really good receiver and likely has the best hands for any receiver in NFL history. I don’t think he’s nowhere near the discussion for greatest at his position. At his peak, his performances simply don’t reflect GOAT discussion.
my brain simply can't compute the "more tackles than drops" stat, what an absolutely outrageous accomplishment

Not only an amazing receiver, he's also a great guy. Always humble and willing to help those around him. Never heard him throw people under the bus. He stuck with a crappy team when he could have been the highest paid WR on a super bowl contender.
Larry Fitz and Calvin Johnson will forever be my two favorite players ever. I loved watching those two growing up!!! They were my first two jerseys and I am Chiefs fan from birth lol.
As a Cardinals fan, THANK YOU FOR GIVING CREDIT AND RECOGNITION TO THE ACTUAL BEST WR IN THE NFL
Texans fan but him not winning a ring makes me sad every time I think about it. He's a goat on and off the field.
Extremely sad
You can say that about most NFL players
I'm inclined to agree. As a packer fan, the only memory that hurts as much as the 2014 NFCCG, is Larry not getting his ring.
Only two times in my life have I been absolutely shocked by losses. That 2014 packers loss and the falcons blowing 28-3
It is a crime against humanity that this man doesn’t have a ring
Blame that cheap front office.
I feel the same way about Julio Jones. Falcons had Jones in his prime when 28-3 happened 😢
Minnesota vikings fan my whole life.grew up in southern AZ..and always followed the cardinals watched Fitz live in action every year he was a pro..ABSOLUTELY TRUE FOR CARDA FANS..BUT WATCHING MOSS ON THE OTHER SIDE WAS INCREDIBLE..
Larry Fitzgerald to this day i say is the greatest ever, i mean with 3 fewer season and a huge list of just god awful qbs and he still put up numbers like that is just crazy, the mount rushmore in my opinion should be fitz rice moss and megatron
As a Seattle fan, i loved watching Larry play. He is, in my opinion, the best receiver i ever got to watch play. I remember watching games growing up thinking we would get our own Larry one day, but now I know they dont make them like Larry.
The man, the myth, the legend. Larry Legend. My favorite Cardinal ever, especially during that 2008 run
Larry is the one player that's unanimously loved and respected by every NFC West team and fan, I was genuinely sad when he retired, because he was fun to watch, even as a Seahawks fan
as a Arizona Cardinals fan, Thank you for giving light to our Best player. we would have understood if he went off ring hunting.
Damn.. this video hit hard…I can’t express the gratitude I have for you perna for using your platform to recognize a pillar to Az community in the past 2 decades.
Larry was always amazing to watch. One of the best to ever play.
As a cardinals fan i actually got to play with larry Fitzgerald during a summer camp
Loved having Larry Legend on the cardinals. Sad we could never get him a ring, but just a fantastic person and a great ball player
8:30: looking at all the consecutive times he just tossed the ball to the ref after scoring... like him scoring is just a regular thing for him
As a Cardinals fan, ANY tribute to LARRY THE LEGEND is much appreciated. THANKS!
I still remember Carson Palmer throwing in the towel, and even that got intercepted.
18:22 he is snatching interceptions from defenders in those clips
If there was one player I wish got a ring it would be Larry Fitzgerald, and I am not even a Cardinal fan...
Man was a consummate professional and it is such a shame we never him with a star QB outside of Warner.
As an AZ native who idolized Fitzgerald as a kid, I appreciate this video very much. Thanks for the amazing content.
As a lifelong Cards fan Fitz is my favorite of all time not just because of his stats but the way he carried himself mainly.
You should do one of these for Tim Brown too. He was a very similar player; Hall of Famer despite the fact that he had no good quarterback till the end of his career.
As a cardinals fan I'm so glad you made this video. Thank you perna!!! There aren't enough videos about this beautiful beautiful legend
Dont see a lot of videos out on him.
because hes not great. only had like 4 good seasons the rest was mid.
Honorable mention: Art Monk
Was the all time reception record holder at the time of his retirement, as well as the first receiver to ever get over 100 receptions in a season.
He never played with an elite QB, let alone a great or hof worthy Qb
Even Joe Gibbs himself apologized to Monk at his hall of fame acceptance for "running the ball so much, because if not he would have been known as the best receiver ever"
Didn't have Theisman for several years?
@@brianmiller1077 yeah, another subpar or average at best QB.

He won a Heisman, and broke his leg in fantastic fashion that's it.
@@shaggyfrankdizzlNot to discredit Monk or make Joe look good, but Joe did win MVP and was a 2x Pro Bowler

My cousin played with Larry at Pitt. Was lucky to see him play against BC in Boston. Even luckier to meet him after the game. Gabe my family 5 minutes of his time to meet distant cousins. Really a genuine man who deserves way more flowers.
Judging by the comments on this video nobody forgets that he played with the caliber of and as many QBs as Larry did
Seahawk fan here so you know I have no love for anyone else in the NFC Best but Brandon speaking truth in this video.
The worst thing about Larry was that he didn't wear a Seahawks uniform...
True very true. He's not Largent but damn he was good too
As a bronco fan born in Az, best football seasons I've ever seen are TD's 2000 yards and that Larry Legend playoff run. Great vid
This is an insult to WR1 Tom Grossi
Maybe when Tom finishes his career he can take that spot
Didn't even make the top 100 list this year... and they say it isn't rigged smh
Can’t really hear you with that in your mouth though
Who? Never heard of him.
I will lock his butt down
I'm a Raiders fan.
It's just that, for me, when that conversation is said and done, the final period belongs to Jerry Rice.
you can argue lebron did
Not to make it a contest of who did more.
You forgot Lebron James
Great video and great call. Not enough people understand what a great man this guy is!
He is a GOAT in sports, in his personal life, and in charity work. Thank you for this!
I've been a Cardinals fan since 1982!!! Perna, you are my hero brah!!!!
Fitzgerald deserved a SB ring. It's sad that he never got one. In his final few years I was really hoping he'd go to a contender and get one. I'm not even an Arizona fan but Larry was one of my favorite players.
It was a delight to watch Larry Fitz play football
Larry having more tackles than drops is my favorite football stat.
The fact he had only 29 drops (out of 2100 targets) and 37 tackles in his career is crazy. That shows how good his hands really were and how bad the quarterbacks really were.
Lifelong Seahawks fan here, and I would rock a Fitzgerald jersey. That’s how much I think dude is the GOAT.
Sinplu because for 85% of his entire career he was on a failing Cardinals team that usually lost more games then they won and rarley ever made it to the playoffs smh 🤦
If he was on a Super Bowl winning franchise he'd be a household name and talked about with the likes of Jerry Rice, T.O, Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson and Julio Jones Ect...
After his last contract with AZ ended I saw a whole bunch of posts speculating that he would sign with the VIkings and give us the "hometown discount"
larry fitzgerald is so synonymous with this game that whenever i hear al michaels talk all i can hear is his name being screamed
LARRY FITZGERALD IS INSANE
As a life long cards fan, you’ve won me over huge with this one. Larry will be in the HOF when he’s eligible but he’ll still be underrated. Guy was pure magic, and everyone just ignores him cause he was on the Cards. I’ve been making the GOAT argument for years, but am always laughed out of the room. Thank you for giving him the respect he deserves.

I coached Larry’s son in gymnastics for a couple classes in Arizona while I was in college. I got to shake his hand and that was about it. Always seemed like a stand-up guy and even before that he was probably my favorite NFL player of all-time even though I grew up a Broncos fan. He still is probably my favorite NFL player
Edit: I should clarify that I was just a substitute coach for his sons’ normal coach
Larry legit had the best hands of any wide receiver he caught pretty much everything.

If you couldn’t tell by my profile pic, I’m a huge Fitz fan.
I had no LA team growing up and my dad liked Kurt Warner and when I was old enough to like football for myself he was on the cardinals, and thus they became my team.
My earliest memories of the NFL are of Fitz humbly tearing up defenses and his insane playoff run(santonio didn’t catch it btw, his right foot rests on his left and doesn’t make contact with the ground while he has possession, fook the steelers)
Love the Hail Larry, perfect example of him as a player, and his career in retrospect.

Cardinals Fan born in 03, I thank the lord every day that I got Fitz all my life cause we didn’t have much else go well for us in my time
Hands down one of my favorite Receivers ever. Almost the perfect build in every way only receiver I think was better during his time is Megatron
Brandon Perna actually speaking facts is wild.
Hated playing that dude two times a year, as a Seahawks fan. Saw him live in 2011 when his Cardinals came to Seattle - that was a gross game, I think the final score was 13-10 Seahawks - but he did catch a TD pass in that game. (18:50)
Wrong. The best receiver is Perna.
He constantly catching crap from Grossi
As a Broncos fan in Arizona, thank you for recapping one of the reasons we also root for the Cardinals here, Larry Legend. A great homage to a great player and even better human.
Realistically it’s Jerry Rice 1, Randy Moss 2, Megatron 3, TO 4, and Larry at 5
As a Niner fan I have long stated that the ONLY WR remotely near Rice is Larry F.
He was so obsessive that if he weren't a football player would land him in a psych ward
. The guy was a total freak. Obsessive over anything.
Fitz has that too.
Rices record will never fall. You need to play 20 years scoring 10 TD EVERY YEAR to get as many TD as Rice.
We treat a WR who scores 10 TD in a single season as a God now.😂
He's nothing. 20 freaking years of 10 TD a year. 😂😂😂
Impossible to match.
Jerry Rice all day

He was definitely great.
BUT. and Hear me out....
Playing for 20 years really helps with the record books. Try to tell me Fitz wouldn't have put up those numbers with Rice's situation.
@@Shavedlion97yes, in your hypothetical universe where Larry plays for 20-years, he might have caught Rice. In our universe, Rice is the OG GOAT
Its not even close either. Top 3 player regardless of position >>>>>>>>>>>>> Top 10 receiver, there's really no contest.
The amount of clips shown just in this video where he's doubled and still makes an amazing catch, than casually flips the ball to the ref is insane. Best player I've ever got to watch.

Better qb play doesn’t always mean better numbers. Look at Mike Evans
Great video Perna. I was at Larry's first game in St. Louis by accident. My mother had me meet her in St. Louis after a business trip. She knew my favorite NFL team was from Missouri, so she bought us tickets for us to see the Rams. I'm a Chiefs fan, but it's the thought that counts 🤣
As a Seattle Seahawks fan the thing I hate most about Larry Fitzgerald is... he never wore a Seahawks uniform
Honestly that was the only thing to hate. He was a class act. He never talked trash was always professional and respectful. Gotta respect a guy that lets his play do the talking.
Larry was special..no doubt. Sad he didn't get a chance to truly shine on some great teams. I have to throw my personal favorite in there. Chris Carter. Also a special WR and so much fun to watch.
Great video! Larry is a true legend and his loyalty deserves far more credit. He's easily a top 5 WR all time
Larry was the only celebrity i actually followed on facebook, back when i still had facebook. Amazing athlete, genuine and amazing personality, a gift to the sport, really a gift to sports in general.
If there's any NFL player that deserved the "Ray Bourque" treatment (i.e. trading him to a contender so he can have a legit shot to finish his career with a championship) it'd be Larry Fitzgerald.
