I was watching one of your earlier videos on how you fixed a vertical line of horizontal bands on one side of the tv by using a strip of paper in one of the ribbon connectors.
I have that exact problem on a 75" Samsung QLED. Problem for me though is the TV is just too big for me place somewhere safe to open it and test. Flipping a 50" to look at it while troubleshooting isn't bad, but you can't do that with a 75", not alone anyway. :/

Would put the make and model in your titles/descriptions so they bring in Google searches

I noticed the bottom menu items, in the tray, would half cut off by the bezel. Is that a resolution issue ? I have similar with the wrong resolution.

The audio problem, it's something that happened to me before, it usually a recording thing, never understood why it does that. It shouldn't happen again in the next recording.

Love your videos as i start myself tv fixing. Any idea what cause a 10yo LG LED 42LB5500 TV with standby good, It click on and off ? Sometimes I manage to get it working for some time and then it goes off ? I assume it a main baard.

Check for dry joints on the power supply, try gently heating up capacitors on the power supply, and see if it turns on straight away,
Last resort heat up processor on main board it may just be a bad connection under the chip 😊

@@wisher21ukthank you. I will try that but I taught Reno increase of caps reduce their capacitance . I would expect to cool them to power on

Samsung used to make good TV's but that was a decade ago.
Today you cringe when a customer arrives with a later one.

I already knew what the problem was from the thumbnail. Was hoping for solutions that didn't involve just blanket replacing all backlights. Like, what adhesives and preparation? I've seen people use CA glue(superglue), and I haven't had the best luck with that. I saw someone use shoe goo, but I understand that gets soft when hot, like backlights are prone to get.

@ Fun facts about B-7000: 7000 is the number of chinese manufacturers that offer it. And none of them are branded. Well, some are, but you know how that goes. Off to look for something else I guess.
