CX was a blend of the DS, SM and radical thinking all of its own. The last Series II CX GTI 2500 EFI Turbo 2 was as quick as the 2.7 litre Maserati engined SM at 220 kph. Many unique features including 2 longerons subframes with engine and mechanicals and body mounted to them on rubber mounts. Amazing pods mounted finger tip controls, cyclops eye Speedo and Tacho. DIRAVI power self centring steering with only 2.5 turns lock to lock. Self leveling suspension with 2 driving heights and two extremes for changing wheels and servicing plus floods. Concave self cleaning rear window. Large front window hardly needed the single wiper at speed as aerodynamics helped direct the water off the glass. The Prestige had more rear legroom than a LWB RR of the day.
AI rubbish. None of the AI pictures are of a real CX. A true iconic successor to the DS. In Australia dad owned a new 1977 CX 2400 Cmatic Pallas. I had a new 1978 CX 2400 EFI 5 speed Prestige. Awesome vehicles. The Prestige in particular was so much better than my DS21 & DS33
If you wish to develop a credible TH-cam car site with a strong following why give good narration and AI renditions of cars that are neither DS nor CX? Zero credibility... Pity... the CX was an awesome machine
@@DriveMotors1 You cannot defend your claim. The pictured car NEVER existed. Citroens were available as a 4-door sedan, station wagon and Chapron convertible.
