HP 14 cf0013dx disassembly frozen mouse button battery replacement

A customer brought in a laptop that appeared to be having performance problems, slow load times, and unresponsive keystrokes and programs. After a deeper inspection of the laptop, it was determined that the left mouse button was stuck in the pressed state. This will cause a constant input signal to be sent to the motherboard & result in what may seem like poor system performance issues. After opening the laptop, we instantly determined that the internal battery was bad. The battery had visible bubbles which caused more pressure to be put on the internal hardware, specifically the left mouse button causing it to be stuck in place due to pressure within the laptop because of the faulty oversized battery. I also showed how to clean the system fan & heatsink.
