I love the Kirby, at first My husband and I were duped into paying $2100 plus but quickly realized after I went on the Internet when they left and called them to cancel. I told them that We were not willing to pay over a certain price and got Back half of our money. Now we feel great about the purchase and love the Kirby because my husband and I cleaned on a Saturday, the whole week the house didn’t accumulate near as much dust as it used to, so I didn’t have to kill myself vacuuming on Friday and was even able to use the extra time to have a little me time. The guy that came to the house Michael Lyons just wanted to say thank you you are an excellent salesman/instructor. I know how to use the Kirby inside and out for all the functions. Great vacuum!!!! But please due your due diligence via he internet before you settle on a price.

I’m loving my new Avalir. Had a Dyson and I would have to run over a spot several times before it picked it up. With certain materials I would notice it would spin around the brush roll before finally being sucked up plus all the dust from having to empty the paperless bag system. Since my Kirby, I haven’t looked back. I use it to clean everywhere in my home and when it’s time to empty the bag, I don’t have dust flying back in my face. I’ve learned my lesson, I won’t buy any other vacuum but Kirby from now on. Yes, they are expensive but they are worth every penny. I also know it will last me for years before I’ll need another one.

I love my Avalir Kirby!! Shampooed for the first time and carpets look good!! Only problem I have is my dirt tray must have been used in a demostration because it was dirty and had a little crack in it! But it still done its job. Plus maybe because I was nervous doing it the first time I must have been too slow because the sudds was filling up over the trash collecter too high and I was running out of the shampoo mix too soon and I had to refill twice lol!! But it was a fun experience😊.

It took some haggling but we eventually got the price down to $1200. Even so, it’s kind of a shady business practice for Kirby to hard sell these for $3000.
Hey Kirby, the idiot I took my Avalir to to fix the transmission's axle from ratcheting lost the two screws holding the power cord to to the top housing and twisted off a screw in the bottom housing. Any help?

Kirby Vacuum Collector & Fixerr You are correct. The 100th Anniversary notation on the Avalir unit is a special feature that will only appear for a limited time. Future Avalir units will not have the 100th logo on them.
So I've gone through 2 belts within 1 year, the first one got hot and snapped on me while I was vacuuming. Maybe I was cleaning with the unit too close towards my carpet. Sometimes the green light jitters and flickers really fast as if it was slightly catching something. Is this common? I'm afraid I'm operating it incorrectly, my belt is starting to thin and looks like I'm going to need ANOTHER replacement.
I've been using the same belt for 3 hard years without any issues. I don't have this model shown here but the old one and it's a tank, best cleaning system I've ever purchased!
I have two questions 1. Is there a chance that you could make more original looking parts for older models? Example: old aluminum fans, old 40s and 50s hoses with the fabric on the, original looking bags, and original colored parts 2. Can you possibly make a special edition Kirby identical to the early 50s models but sold in stores?
+Kirby Vacuum Collector & Fixer Thank you for the suggestions. We try to supply original parts for the older models as much as possible, but sometimes it just isn't possible so we substitute similar parts from newer models. I will share your suggestions with our engineering department.
+The Kirby Company and another thing Even though you say the eleven blade polymer fan has the most suction I have done a retro fit of a sanitronic ten blade aluminum fan in my G4 and the G4 had increased performance Shen I did tests. I switched the fans so the diamond had the older metal fan and the G4 had the polymer fan. The diamond won that time. I'm not saying your wrong, it's just the fact that that's what I got with those tests.

I don’t like how they explained the toe touch control, you should never lower it all the way to the floor and then raise it one notch at a time, in fact you should do the opposite which is lower it one notch at a time until you hear a change in the pitch of the motor, this means Kirby has sealed to the carpet, then lower the toe touch pedal one more time.
