You didn't mention the Commando sweater, it is up there as casual with the Safari coat. I have a heavy roll neck and you do need a long neck for them. I would like to have a thin roll neck in brown to wear with a blazer or tweed coat, I like the dressy look of it but it is more casual to put together than trying to have a tie.
I was looking forward to knit sweaters look, i love some of them, but sadly most of them didnt match with me, for example, i cant wear too thick fabrics because of where i am living, or wool based fabric because of the weather. Its so frustating that i really wanted to wear it but rarely got the chance. The v neck preppy never suits me, and also the cardigans, only few cardigan suits me, it just look too feminim. I love quarter zip, my upper body except my neck is quite good in shape, and maybe the shiluette of my upper body make it more masculine and i love it, it just like wearing a necklace without wearing one because of the zip placement, if you know what i mean.
I personally love turtleneck sweaters.
