    Bad childhoods mixed with alcohol, violence, hypocrisy and religion is more than enough to F up a kid's life. Many of the great actors and authors of years past led painful disoriented lives full of barbituates, hard core drugs and alcohol. This behavior is as old as mankind. Only we can change it. It is not impossible. Be hopeful, not hopeless. 🙂

      @Hugh J. Null Just watched it. Now I am googling what he did wrong, cos I don't watch TV or look into celeb life most of the time :) Not rly sure if it is true tho. Human mind is rly weird in recalling old memories. Our feelings change our perspective. Watch a documentary about a "woman who can't forget" and how she talks about her relationship with her sister. Also when I speak to m fiance about her passed grandfather who was an abusive drunk and how she remembers him and how her mom and aunt speak about him even in drunk moments of truth it differs a lot. Mby he the truth lays somewhere in the middle.

      I think it's possible to feel sorry for a person while also holding them accountable. It's true that being a victim is not an excuse to be an abuser, but you must consider it's also true that the most reliable way to heal a damaged person is with love. Trying your best to humiliate and disgrace an abuser is never going to redeem an abuser. It's important that we hold people accountable for their actions but also give them an open door for redemption.

      @@iminumst7827 I agree somewhat, but Shia has proven over the years that he's willing to lie and pretend to be whatever he needs to be to come back into the public's good graces, while getting worse and worse in his actual relationships.
      How do you know this moment isn't just a repetition of his previous act? Shouldn't we give him time to prove himself first? Don't we want to be careful not to *again* enable him to abuse more women like FKA Twigs? He strangled that girl in public, held her hostage, wore away at her sense of self to control her... Has he really been made to grapple with the seriousness of those actions?

      Honestly been waiting for this comment!! It makes me so angry that people continue to defend him. I can appreciate what people are saying in terms of rehabilitation and him receiving help, and he deserves those things but people are very much brushing what he did under the carpet, putting him on a pedestal and have made him a poster child for the “abuser-turned-model dad”. Abusers in the media should have their platforms revoked. They deserve help, but should not receive that help in the limelight nor have any time in it. Has Hollywood forgotten MeToo?

    Carrying childhood trauma into adulthood is catastrophic and somewhat unavoidable. Speaking from experience I think Shia doesn't want to hurt anyone and doesn't understand fully what he's doing. He thinks he's expressing himself and probably thinks he's actually helping some people, when in reality he's hurting them and himself.

    • @donovanumbra9704
      @donovanumbra9704 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think you're giving him too much credit as a fan. Read about the things this man did to FKA Twigs and Sia... hell just actually watch this video! This man physically and psychologically destroyed these women, and he has attempted to do it to many of the people in his life and career, even in random counters.
      Understand that you don't help anyone, Shia, his victims, or the people who witness this behavior, by making excuses and giving passes to him. You just *enable* him to keep repeating the same pattern.
      Being a good actor is merely a talent, like being an athlete or a good accountant. It's not a virtue and it doesn't make up for deep fissures in ones character as have been exposed in Shia.

    • @mattkinsella9856
      @mattkinsella9856 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@donovanumbra9704 As I said, carrying childhood trauma into adulthood is catastrophic. For them and the people around them. I'm not giving him a pass at all as you put it. He has to sort his sh!t out, as I had to. Understanding someone's situation and having some empathy for their issues and those people around them is not excusing anything. It's actually quite difficult to watch for me because I know what demons are at play and how difficult he will find it to resolve them but that's what I'd want to see for anyone in that situation, resolution. No passes, no excuses.

    • @donovanumbra9704
      @donovanumbra9704 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mattkinsella9856 You said you don't think Shia knows or believes that he is hurting people... When you put your hands around someone's throat and start strangling them, when you're driving 80 mph down the road threatening to kill both of you, when you're putting concealer on your dick to cover over the herpes sores and then deliberately infecting someone, do you think that person "doesn't know" that they're hurting someone? Be sensible, dude. Shia is a bad guy. He's been publically drunk, violently aggressive, and Machiavellian multiple times, all on tape, and you want to paint him as a victim?? Do you see how this kind of unreasonable nonsense enables abusers like Shia to continue to abuse others?

    • @mattkinsella9856
      @mattkinsella9856 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@donovanumbra9704 It's a well known fact the abused often become abusers. Recognizing and understanding some aspects of someone's behavior. That's all. I'm allowed to do that. You have a different opinion, you're entitled to it, as I'm entitled to mine. Have a nice day.

    • @donovanumbra9704
      @donovanumbra9704 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mattkinsella9856 This is what people like you do, people with corrupt, distorted, and false thinking patterns, you claim it's just a "difference of opinion". That is the lamest, most impotent defense you can come up with for your position. If you tell me the sky is usually purple and I say no, it's blue, we don't have a difference of opinion, you are simply wrong, and possibly mentally or physically ill.
      The real issue is that you have no sound defense for your position. It's a biased, uninformed, and quite frankly, stupid opinion that is harmful to everyone involved, which completely undercuts your claim that you have concern for the people around him. You don't. You relate to Shia and you want to coddle him and baby him because seeing him punished might make it so people like you would also gave consequences for torrid behavior.

      Exactly. The Barron interview was good but another podcast I listened to he was quite manic and making claims about he was going to help people etc. I think he needs to lay low, just love and care for his wife and daughter and just stay humble.
      There is a danger that this just becomes a new persona or hustle because he is trying to run spiritually before he can walk. I didn't like him in the 2nd podcast I heard, he sounded way too self-congratulatory. He is in danger of being eaten alive by his own ego if he doesn't take it slow and out of sight of the media.

    Dang that reporter might have just made up a new word shia was "Ray - leased"? How was he able to get "Ray" to "lease" him? I wonder if he got like a good deal and low interest on that lease? I can't wait till they release the new GTA 6. I just hope they don't "Ray-lease" it...

    I know the toxicity of celebrity is prolly the very reason he disgusted by ppl like me and should I hate him. But, that’s the irony, that’s how I fell in love in first place. Same multimedia devices, or virtual reality electronic surrogates, that at the end of the just a bunch of pixelated lights, is the closest I’ll ever get to him in the first place, or any celebrity.
    So, if everything iEver know about him is based on wtf he does in front of a camera anyway, should it make a that big of DIFFERENCE if it’s scripted or nah?
    🤔

    If he has ptsd and borderline the he is prob self medicating. This will inflame him over time then you throw in an inflamed ego with too much fame? He needs to unplug and isolate and detach from everyone and everything while going through therapy. If he does then he will eventually implode, loved him as an actor and am pulling for him
