Not sure if someone still checks comments on this video but it is worth a shot. None of the fixes worked for me. There is no sound, troubleshooting triggers the not responding message still. My headphones work when plugged to my phone... I am about to give up I swear. Oh and restoring windows is not an option sadly.
Hi there, thank you for your question! If you are using a device from a brand consider downloading their software for the device that might solve your issue. I'd also recommend trying it on a different computer to see if its specific to that certain pc.
Thank you! Solution 1 worked for me. I wasn't able to see a specific app get audio which was my browser. It was not present in the mixer options. After restarting the audio service. It became present! THANK YOU!!
My laptop shutdown because i forgot to plugin my charger while playing a game. And when it gets back on the audio was gone. I did all of the methods but its still the same. When i open the volume mixer all i can see is speakers but no system and applications sounds. Any help for this problem? Thank you in advance.
Hi there, thank you for your question. It seems like your laptop's audio issue occurred after it shut down unexpectedly during gameplay. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix the problem: Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve issues with hardware components. Restart your laptop and check if the audio returns. Check Device Manager: Open Device Manager and look for any exclamation marks or errors next to your audio devices. If there are issues, you might need to update or reinstall the audio drivers. Update Audio Drivers: Visit the manufacturer's website for your laptop and download the latest audio drivers. Install them and restart your laptop.
I did all that you suggested on your video, when I went to sound settings, in the output and input, it says "no devices found," "master volume is on 0 and can't be moved. When I try to enable the Windows Audio Service, the next box says, "No audio devices are installed." I've done everything from updating drivers to troubleshooting, nothing... What are my next options? I appreciate any help you can give me. A friend said to just get a USB external sound card... HELP!!! AL
Hi there, thank you for your question! If your computer is not detecting any audio devices, there are a few things you can try. First, make sure that your speakers or headphones are properly connected and turned on. Then, check the connections of any external audio devices, update the drivers for your audio devices in Device Manager, or reset your BIOS settings to their default values. If none of these steps work, consider getting a USB external sound card like your friend suggested as a quick and easy solution. By trying these options, you may be able to resolve the issue and get your audio working again.
Solution 5: both command prompt suggested is giving me an error ( system error 1376 has occurred ) and on Solution 3: under choose your Output Device there is ( no output devices Found ) and on Solution 1: the the Windows Audio is not marked as Running, and if I right click and select Run it's giving me an error( 0x80070005: access is denied ), what should I do??
Hi there, thank you for your question. The errors you're encountering, such as "system error 1376," "no output devices found," and "access is denied (0x80070005)," indicate potential issues with permissions or system configurations.
Had the same problem and all suggested solutions except the last couldn't help; go to Settings ==> Update & Security ==> Troubleshoot ==> Additional troubleshooters ==> Playing Audio and follow the steps
Hi! I've been trying to fix this error for 2 hours. I've tried many methods and none of them has worked. Although, I can't run CMD as administrator. I mean, I don't even have the option. When I click with the right button, there's just the option to Pin to Start. I've also tried some configurations for having that option, but it still doesn't appear :(( Pls, some help.
Hi there, thank you for your question! If you're unable to access the option by right-clicking on the Start button, you can try alternative methods. Firstly, use the keyboard shortcut Windows key + X, followed by A, to open Command Prompt with administrative privileges. Alternatively, search for "Command Prompt" in the Windows search bar, right-click on it, and select "Run as administrator." If that doesn't work, try using Windows PowerShell instead. You can search for "PowerShell" in the Windows search bar, right-click on "Windows PowerShell," and choose "Run as administrator." In case the option is disabled through Group Policy settings, you can open the Group Policy Editor by running "gpedit.msc" via the Run dialog box. Then, navigate to "User Configuration" > "Administrative Templates" > "Start Menu and Taskbar" and ensure that the "Remove Run as administrator" policy is set to "Not Configured" or "Disabled." Another option is to run the System File Checker (SFC) utility by typing "sfc /scannow" in Command Prompt (non-administrative) to scan for and repair any corrupted system files.
I managed to solve this issue by performing a system restore using the run: rstrui command and reverting to a version before a recent windows update. Hope this helps out anyone in the future that had a similar problem. Minor update: After I got the microphone working it was heavily distorted and high pitched sounding, turns out I needed to also update my microphone's firmware (RODE USB Mini - RODE central was used to update this).
2 other options: If using USB for audio output, check the Power Plan to ensure that the Ports do not go to sleep. Edit the Registry to reduce Audio Power-up delay.
I have two freshly reinstalled PCs both has the same sound issue. They lose sound if they stop playing sound for 10-30 minutes. No trobleshoot notification is poping up and PC shows that there is sound. However there is no sound when a video and music play or video and music doen't play at all. When I run troubleshooter it says "audio services not responding windows 10 Fixed". Any ideas?
@@computerhelper8625 so far only managed to reduce freaqency of it happening but have no idea which fix worked. Don't know why it happens but if I restart Windows audio in services it fixes it and rarely ever repeats on same session. And it seems that I don't get this problem if I restart this service when my PC starts or it delays this problem for a longer time. Is there a way to make a shortcut or script to restart it without going to services? So far I have tried everything I could found on internet. If I'm correct this problem starts when you get first update after instalation.
I tried the first solution, and i noticed that Windows Audio is not turned on. When i tried to start the service, it tells me, "Windows could not start Windows Audio Services on Local Computer Access is denied." With the error code of 0x80070005. Can someone tell me why this is happening???
Hi there, thank you for your question! If you tried all the steps mentioned in the video I would recommend trying to Open the Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) as the TrustedInstaller using the AdvancedRun tool then navigate to the following branch: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\AudioSrv right-click on MMDevices and select “Permissions” in the Permissions dialog, click “Advanced" Add a new principal and select “TrustedInstaller" grant full control permissions to TrustedInstaller apply the changes and restart your computer.
Hi there, thank you for your question! I would recommend checking you have the correct output device set on your computer in sound settings also make sure to go to the volume icon and select sound settings and make sure the output is set the default.
Hi there, thank you for your question! First make sure you have the correct drivers for your device installed and make sure you go into audio inputs and outputs and make sure your microphone is listed and enabled. Then try disable audio enhancements in the sound control panel under the enhancements tab.
