My fathers have 240 k milles keep going he manage to get new paint from toyota like a year a go under warranty don’t know how but he did it . White color
Two fifty to swap an alternator isn't too bad really. I replaced the one on my Hyundai a year ago and it think it cost $160.00, I did the installation myself. Do your own brakes, it's not that hard.
Hi Guys and girls, I’ve got a 2006 Rav 4 and the only thing I’ve had to replace is also the Alternator and got a service at the same time and cost me $600 Australian dollars and apart from that every thing has been “mint” touch wood! And I’m 6Ft 1” and 95kg so not a little guy but have plenty of room. So it’s one of the best cars I’ve ever owned and take it camping ⛺️ with a rooftop tent, Mags and decked out with twin rear Kings drawers, Waeco 50l fridge, 120Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery, Switch & Control panel, Dcdc Solar charger, Microwave, soon to be kitchen & 270° Awning.......... And it’s still under its allotted weight category! It doesn’t the the grunt of a 6 or 8 cylinder motor but it still has enough getup and go for what I want it for, and the other reason I bought a 4 cylinder motor was for the cheap rego, insurance and petrol! So love it love it to death!!
Good cars, love this generation RAV4. Love the exterior color, a lot, but certainly not crazy about the charcoal interior you get on the Sport trim. Thanks for the tour.
I had a 06 RAV4 sport it was the same color as yours accept mine had the power moonroof, and the JBL...... I didn’t have any problems accept I did had to get a alternator, but mine was covered under warranty, and secondly an A/C compressor which was covered under warranty. I got a new Toyota key fob paid for out of pocket! I didn’t have any issues with my motor, but there were a lot of recalls “ to many to name “ in which they were all free of charge. Toyota said I needed to replace the Serpentine Belt the funny is the belt never made a sound that it was going bad. And then one day it popped busted all the fluid reservoirs it ran hot and the belt actually had wrapped around the fan.
I have a 2010 RAV4 base 4x4. I have EXACTLY the same problem with the dash lights. I have to wack them to get them to come on half the time, especially on the climate control gauges. Also my right side light above the sunglasses holder rarely works without a solid punch to the ceiling! On a side note I just had to replace my alternator at 137,000 miles. Now sitting on 141,000.
Hard to believe that in March 2020, I thought quarantine would last maybe to May. It is now mid November. Go H-Town. I live on the North side, The Woodlands. Where do you get this serviced? I have used Fred Haas for the past 15 years. Never mind, just heard you say Fred Haas.
I had a 06 same color but I had the upgraded auto package and moonroof never had a issue besides they had recalls and Toyota fix them. They wasn’t major my suv I got it with 77k miles before letting it go it had 106k my belt broke Toyota said I had to get it replaced said that I had some time but apparently not enough after that it messed up the whole little suv. Oh how I miss that truck so
Whine whine whine. All the stuff he's whining about in a 10yr+ car is basic stuff. Road nice? Change tires. He's whining about things that Will need maintenance regardless. My kids mom drove our car with no oil for a good 5 miles and when i got to it added oil and ran it a bit did a full oil change and got it back on the road. Car runs great since. We've owned it for about 4 yrs and it still runs great. Even after my ex had it for that time. She's a car killer.
Mine was a turd when I got it now it has enkies and Yokohama’s and north woods suspension And runs like a top, I work off road with it every day and is a honey badger im ze mud
The standard sound system and satnav is pretty poor by current standards so I suggest to get an upgrade. My RAV 4 was fitted with a Kenwood unit by the previous owner so I can do Bluetooth and play music and handsfree calls plus Garmin satnav. Agree about legroom as I am 5’11” and I have the seat all the way back and it’s just about right for me but anyone taller would have a problem. My 2L petrol VVTI is pretty sluggish in standard drive mode but the sport button helps when you need a bit of extra acceleration. Also found the indicator audible click is quite low so sometimes don’t realise I have not cancelled them.
Well aside from the numbers side of things, usually you'll know its the alternator when your dashboard goes nuts, the car acts like its out of gas (if you're driving) or you could be like what happened to me and lose all electrical power in one go while driving 70 miles an hour down the highway.
I did actually and it had none of these issues when I bought it, but the engine was making noises only like 3 days after I got it (and I heard it cold start at the dealership).
I just bought a 2012 Sport. 79k miles. Subarus are garbage. You'd think after 20 yrs of timing & head issues that they'd have fixed it by now. I guess you can buy the 6.
I have 2009 v6 original owner 165k miles no troubles at all.... yet
My fathers have 240 k milles keep going he manage to get new paint from toyota like a year a go under warranty don’t know how but he did it . White color
I have 2006 Toyota Corolla S and it has 218k miles..and still running good until now January 2021..
I love Toyota ❤️
I have a 2010 RAV4 base model just hit 123,000 miles today 👍
How is it running after almost a year? Any issues? Thank you!
You live in Houston but didn't hit up Scotty kilmer lol

Did slotted and ceramics for 120$ on ze rav
@@kabbythedog9409 I did the brakes myself (except I borrowed a lift from one of the techs at my work to do it lol).

I have same year, had the alternator go also, not until this year though. Mine is the grey interior. Kind of a light grey.
What are the signs the alternating is dying? I have a 2010 rav4 sport V6 and when I’m on idle voltage is only 13.2V.

I have a 2010 Toyota rav 4 limited has 139,000 km no problems going awesome . Just minor repairs . Love , going to drive this rav till it drops 🙌🙌🙌
So many issues but you still like it? We were considering getting a used 2010 Rav4. Not sure now.

👍I love your Toyota rav4 limited red colors

did you see any good movies latley
I have actually. My gf and I went to see My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising recently before the full force of the pandemic hit here.
If you want to clean your car take it to one of those 24hr. self serve car wash like I did.
There's only a couple in my area and they're all run down and broken sadly.
Don't forget your CC weapon...................
hi how much did you pay to buy your car at toyota 2010 rav4
I paid around $10,500 after taxes and everything.
I don't think 🤔 the previous owner took care of the car
All that debris! Leaves built up on cowl cover will clog drain holes for water runoff and rust out frame and fenders
Unfortunately having to park outside at my apartment complex, I'm constantly chasing my tail around keeping gunk out of the scuttle and shroud.
Did you look or drive the car before you bought it?
I did actually and it had none of these issues when I bought it, but the engine was making noises only like 3 days after I got it (and I heard it cold start at the dealership).
Ya you should just buy a Subaru and then we can do a video of me blowing it away with my 07
Thanks but no thanks.
I think you copped a bad rav lol
How much did you pay for this?
I paid $10,500 after state taxes and everything.
