When ice climbers are separated, climber 2 basically becomes a lvl 9 cpu while trying to get back to climber 1
Partner Climber AI is based on leader's %. At low percent she's a potato, but at high percent she's an angry potato.
Potato should be the scale for smash AI. Instead of lvl 1-9, it's Sweet Potato-Loaded Baked Potato

You actually can time when Randall comes out with the timer. Also in melee you can’t raptor boost to grab ledge, so a falcon would never touch the b button at ledge in almost all cases
Randall is synced with the timer in Melee. He always comes out of the stage for 5 seconds every time the second counter hits 5. That wasn't a mistake; it was calculated.

@@michaelhodnett431 according to an Asumsaus video: no. He always comes out on the left side on "odd" cycles (14, 34, 54) and on the right side on "even" cycles (24, 44, 04), so you can actually play around Randall if you pay attention to the timer

Yup, but people are way too used to think that the player climber is always Popo when that's not always the case, when I play as them (in any of the 3 games they have appeared) almost always I play as Nana while Popo is the AI companion.

Edit: The Invisible Ceiling Glitch requires you get hit while you are sliding back after hitting someone's shield, and can happen to any character. It's just that Luigi has low traction and therefore slides longer.

Invisible ceiling actually sets your vertical velocity to 0 the next time you get hit if you get interrupted during the pushback from hitting someone's shield, and you haven't touched the ground. Since Luigi's upsmash and downsmash give a lot of pushback, it's very possible to trigger the invisible cieling with it. For example, if Luigi downsmashes near a ledge, bounces off of someone's shield, forcing him off the ledge, he will have the glitch ready to activate until he lands back on stage. Hitting luigi during this time triggers the glitch, as the hit will have its vertical momentum set to 0, which "looks" like he hit an invisible ceiling / floor. To be clear, this happens with any character but since Luigi is so slippery it's much easier to do with him. It's also the driving force behind why Roy and Marth's counters sometimes knock enemies at a weird ^-shaped trajectory, as hitting the invisible counter hitbox is treated the same as hitting a shield hitbox.

17:00 asum has a great video on it. Basically if u suffered recoil for hitting the left side of a shield and get hit up ur vertical velocity reaches 0 so u dont get moved in the y axis. So the falcon hit luigi keeping him above ground for the recoil

I sometimes wonder if you can control your 9's on G&W. My friend back in the Brawl days was notorious for always getting 9's.
if my memory is correct, you can to a degree. in at least 1 smash game, judge is programmed to never give you the last 2 numbers you got, making 9 impossible if you got a 9 in your last 2 uses of the move. if you use the move twice after getting a 9, it goes back in the pool of options for a 1/7 chance. the default for the start of a match is 1 and 2 being the numbers you can't get. idk if it was melee, ultimate, something in between, or multiple games, i just know this is a mechanic.

Luckiest thing to ever happen to me in a game was at a friends tournament at university my freshman year.
At the time I was a dirty Lil Mac main hating my life. And my friend decided to pick Ridley.
Shit you not, countdown ends to the beginning of the match and he fully charge dives first into me first second of the match with his side b I believe.
I countered him instantly with my down b and killed him within the first 3 seconds of the match starting and won the set.

Those Ice Climbers shenanigans... and that's why you should NEVER let your guard down, because otherwise they cheese the match when you don't expect it.
Years ago i bought Brawl as my first smash game. The first time i ever played luigi i had no idea what his moves did. I tried side-B 3 times and got misfires on all 3. It instantly solidified in my mind that it was the default way the move worked and that it was insanely good. I spent weeks after wondering why my side-b was not working correctly. I thought it had something to do with the timing of the charge, almost like a boost start in mario kart. I eventually got frustrated and just gave up on luigi completely. It wasn't until years later that i got into watching smash content on TH-cam that i realized it was an RNG thing. The confusion of being a young gamer before the internet was as huge as it is now is something today's youth will never understand.
