We see the value in an image for the illiterate and an immortalized depiction of virtue, it is moreso the prayers TO the saints that we take issue with. How else would we be allowed to have nativity scenes for Christmas if any image at all was bad? 🤭
@@CourtlySeaDog umm, actually confessionally conservative and consistent Presbyterians who do not take exception to the Westminster Standards do forbid use of nativity scenes. Your catechisms do not forbid only the veneration of images but even the making of them! This is according to the Westminster Larger Catechism question 109 on the sins forbidden in the second commandment.
