- A fresh edit of the beloved classic, scaled to 16:9 and reframed, color-corrected and paced to modern standards, trimmed down from 6 hours to less than 2 - hopefully to reach new audiences, as there is no reason to ever reshoot a Jesus movie. This was an unequalled masterpiece, but there has never previously been a way to watch it in a single feature-film experience. So I figured I'd try to make that possible. I do not own the rights to this material! This is merely a fan-cut by a fan of the film(s) and a fan of Jesus! Enjoy! I hope TH-cam does not take it down... :)

Absolutely. Nothing better before or since. Robert Powell is excellent and the rest of the star studied cast - it was phenomenal. I don't think there's been a film where so many top stars have appeared and had such short roles. Lawrence Olivier, Michael York, Rob Steiger, Donald Pleasance, Ann Bancroft, Olivia Hussey, James Mason, Anthony Quinn, Christopher Plummer, Stacy Keach and on and on and on. Absolutely fantastic. You couldn't do it today.

As an 11 year old child - I remember crying inconsolably and being so utterly heartbroken for this man (I didn't know who He was then). Seeing this movie was so horribly real and disturbing for a kid that age way back then. But I'm so thankful that I did. It was my first introduction to the Lord Jesus Christ. Now I'm 51 (yes that's how old this movie is) and my life is still His - He is my Lord and Savior - My King of kings. My first love.

No way the Passion can compare to this Masterpiece. The Mel Gibson version was just ok but over the top in many ways.

This is and ever will be the greatest film rendition of the living God. It is Zeffirelli's masterpiece. But to mankind it is also so much more.

when the Lord forgave her in Simons house, Joseph of Aramathea understood the endless depth of the Lord's love and forgiveness. It was a moving scene really.I believe all in that house did. Daughter, take the ointment and keep it for my burial... powerful and beautiful.

I love the people who play Jesus, Mary and Joseph in this movie. They look so lovely and so like how I imagined them to look.
I remember my late dad took me to watch this in our church's auditorium when I was 5 or 6 years-old.

I can't wait to watch the whole 6 hours again. It's been an awfully long time since I had. It's a magnificent Jesus movie and my favorite. Robert Powell Plays Jesus perfectly. Number One Jesus.. of all the incredible actors that also did an excellent job themselves. They all have brought Jesus to life, for so many to witness, that didn't believe he lived and then died for Us. I haven't watched this one yet, that belongs to you but, I will. I'll follow alongside watching the movie while reading my Bible.

I have just watched this movie again. I can't recall how many times I've watched it.
Each time it grips my heart and stirs an emotion of pure love for this our saviour. I'M 68 Years old and I still cry at the injustices that were served on this beautiful soul. I feel so angry that most of the leaders, of the church of Israel, couldn't accept this man and see the good in his preachings.
I never get tired of watching. Robert Powell, portrayed Jesus as I would imagine he would have been.
Compassion, goodness, mercy, love, forgiveness, tolerance, respect. All of these attributes and more were portrayed with honesty and faith.
A wonderful performance.
For me, there has never been another person to outshine Robert in his role, as JESUS Christ.🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
