Thanks for this amazing video what a Great Saint I had the honour to see his relics years ago but Woww I never thought of how amazing his life was same as Saint Nicholas very influential and both far away from they ministered in their life how inspiring and also its said that the intercession in 1714 of Saint Spyridon inspired indirectly Vivaldi to make Judith Triumphanus one of his best works

Last year I sat on the beach in Lefkada, watching my son and wife play in the sea, in too much physical and mental pain to join them. I prayed for God’s mercy. When we were leaving, I picked up my towel and directly beneath where I was sitting was a small plastic icon of Ayios Spyridon. God bless you for educating us with these videos, especially this one.

If you ever go to Lefkada again and visit the monastery of the Saint Pefaneromeni. There by going to the fence looking to the sea side. One can clearly distinguish in the lagoon of Lefkas ,that the water plants form the figure of the virgin mary holding the messiah.
That’s exactly the way I aspire to be. Just full of pure faith and love. To love as He loves us.

I love Saint Spyridon so much. I discovered him during a great time of need, a miracle occurred a couple of months later and to this day, he helps me and my family. Glory to Jesus Christ and His amazing Saints!

I wanted to come back to this video to leave a comment, I have watched quite a few of these short films on saints and I am heavily considering the Orthodox faith. I was raised Catholic, never received communion, never confirmed, Catholic school, I was not very faithful when I was little and became atheistic and depressed and angry. Then, I decided to dabble in Islam and try to live by the commands in the Qu'ran for a few months, when I realized what was taught about Jesus, and what was misrepresented as His words I left, for some reason my hard was still so hardened that I fell back into my atheistic beliefs for a few years, I feel as though that was the Lord showing me back to the truth of the Resurrection, but I was too blind to see it at the time. This year in March the sunday before Ash Wednesday I felt compelled to go to a church, so I went to the Salvation Army near my house and I have been attending there since, I feel as though there is much missing in my church, theologically and spiritually. We do not receive the Eucharist and we do not baptize anybody, this does not sit right with me and I will be attending my very first Orthodox Church this coming sunday. Please let me know anything I must know being introduced to Orthodoxy, I am confused, afraid, and tired. I yearn to be in the presence of the Lord and I do not know where to turn. I think that Orthodoxy is the right choice, but it is difficult to battle with these decisions spiritually.
In all things, turn to the Lord in prayer. Perhaps the Orthodox church is the right choice for you. I am Protestant, myself but we are all one through Jesus Christ. We are all a part of His Church. I would pray and listen to see what God tells you to do. I will be praying for you!
