    Did you ever do a video on looking up multiple details from whatever? I have an app using the basic structure of the Shopping Cart App you built, And I need an Email to send a list of all the items in the last order along with their quantities.

      You're welcome! I'm going to make a follow-up next week that shows how to do the same thing but for a list of values.
      - Such as give me the list of the last five time logs
      - Then from that create a sum of all of the hours from those last five time logs

    Hello Matt. Thanks for the video, useful as always. Any reason to prefer this solution to using MAXROW function instead? Is there any advantage in terms of performance?

    • @MultitechVisions

      Indeed yes! MaxRow() and MinRow() are really just a port for a nested select() statement - one of the worst things you could do for your app's performance.
      This method avoids this sort of brute-force functionality and instead utilizes the lists of values that are already available due to references.

      @@MultitechVisions i used MaxRow mostly this approach will boost performance?

    • @MultitechVisions
      @MultitechVisions  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@omoklamok Switching from MaxRow() to the approach I outlined here will help increase performance. The approach to use INDEX() simply grabs X item out of a list; MaxRow() goes through every record in the table, comparing the criteria you indicated one by one until it finds the one it needs. You can see how using Index() is more efficient in terms of processing execution steps, no?

    Pls, can I make a Smartlink/shortener software with appsheet. I need custom users dashboard per logged in user data analytics

      Hey hey, sorry for the slow reply. Did you see this video: th-cam.com/video/HWhtlzxtPss/w-d-xo.html
      - It shows how to setup what I call an "enhanced" dashboard, which brings in the Current_User system to allow for user-by-user control over a dashboard.
      Let me know if that get's you where you're wanting! (^_^)

    If we edit the row in time log it will reset the value right ? What is the best way to handle that ?

    • @MultitechVisions
      @MultitechVisions  ปีที่แล้ว

      You might try creating a new record, instead of editing the one that's already there. Or maybe move the formula from the app formula space to the initial value.
      A lot of different ways to accomplish this, all depending on how your system is put together.
