Hey Matt. Firstly can I say this is a fantastic little hack and i wish I'd found it sooner!! but I think I have subtly different requirement. I use a card view as a Home menu. When you tap on the card it fires a Go To App Link from an App column type. In the sheet, this column contains "#control=Log_form" which, as it suggests, takes you to a form view and with your bit added creating #control=Log_form&"&at="&(NOW()+1) it syncs as well which is great. However I think it does it in that order e.g. "open new form then sync". Is it possible to get it to Sync first then open the form as I need to grab any new data from the sheet first before it creates initial values?? I hope this is clear and that maybe you can help. Hola, se que el video es de hace 4 años y para ese problema yo uso Context("view")= aqui va el nombre del form, esto lo que hace es ocultar el boton Add del formulario para que no se pueda usar, dicha función se pone en Behavior, yo tengo un problema un poco complicado ya que necesito 2 condiciones, la primera es que cada usuario pueda acceder al boton Add para editar sus propios registros eso ya lo conseguí la segunda condición es que el usuario con el rol de "Logistico" que es el que puede ver todos los registros no pueda ver el boton Add si no son sus registros, pero si son los suyos si pueda verlo

This looks like it is making a copy of user emails stored in the users table and storing them in the enum list in the companies table. Doesn't this break first normal principles of only storing each piece of data in one place?

Hi! when I've tried just to sum up all the values of hours I have at the result output list (as a total), it just repeated the sum value as long as the rows I am filtering are. Does anyone know how to just return the value once? Thanks!

today following this example I integrated it with my app and Data. I got everything working with my data with two quirks. (I deleted the Donut chart view) In my Control Box Only one criteria (out of 4) initially shows up, If I select something, the next criteria box shows up, when I select something, it will then pop up the next box, finally the last criteria box will pop up. I can't figure out what I did wrong that they won't all show up at the same time allowing me to search by any one or combination of criteria. If I go to Control Box/Quick edit columns and remove the Data Validation the box shows up, but the dropdown no longer populates. My last control box gives me a dropdown list of names ( I added it to the expression), when I pick one it goes into the criteria box, but doesn't actually filter anything. Suggestions?

For the less-technical audience, this video isn't clear enough or adequately definitive - you did not demonstrate your example actually works. I'm sure you have a variation that does... why didn't you show that version? 90% isn't good enough to provide value and be an authoritative source. All the distracting stuff on your walls, lighting and personality don't make up for a lack of thoroughly, simply and definitively demonstrating the process.

This is awesome stuff - but when I followed along, if I only have one entry in the report, it works fine, but multiple entries by selection of the report generation form, it all looks right in the app but the PDF does not enumerate each one, and just gives blank..> does that have anything to do with the separator that the virtual column is adding?

If I want the user to choose one or many from Checkboxes (not a radio button) to generate a report for all, grouped together by Billed, In Progress, Quoted - - how might that syntax look? BTW, this video was SOOOO helpful, I've saved it and reference it OFTEN! So thank you!! 🎉

I watched it over and over again because the loop did not work. I missed the instruction to also set a condition in the behaviour section in the grouped action. It was on screen but it you did not tell anything that also this one is crucial. It works now. Thanks!

your presentation is very nice .... but the result at that time not future proof 😂 You forgot something important !!!! whatif ... a child is deleted ? OK you will now say ... i have to put out system actions .... but how to delete then a child ? If i delete it ( not systemmenue ) manually with a group of actions, there is a problem. i can not execute an action on an deleted row.
