    Hi Tim
    Enjoying your turning videos as always.
    FYI Chestnut products are sold in USA by Craft Supplies, Peachtree and a company in Texas called Wood something or other.
    Due to REGULATIONS, excuse me whilst I clear my throat, the Ebonising spray cannot be shipped by airfreight etc!
    Many of us in UK rely on Chestnut for our finishes, great products.
    Cheers
    Roger

    • @michaelmeredith721
      @michaelmeredith721 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably Wood World of Texas.

    • @duallygsd
      @duallygsd 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the kind words. I have searched those companies and can only find a finishing wax and a series of spirit stains. If you can shoot me a link to the sanding sealers and top coats I would love to try the products.

    • @Bawdsey64
      @Bawdsey64 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Tim
      Chestnut products are available from believe it or not www.chestnutproducts.co.uk/ and he has three US dealers, one is Wood World of Texas. However none of the US resellers sell all the Chestnut products due to shipping restraints on certain types of liquid.
      I was in the wood working tool business and about 5 years back these stupid regulations came in to play and so I was no longer able to ship the best woodworking tool lubricant and rust protector called Dyna-Glide by airfreight. It is the best product for rust protection as it does not affect wood like some silicon based products.
      These regulations are the problem I think Terry the owner of Chestnut Products faces. It is a shame because it means American wood turners are deprived of products that most UK and European turners use.
      By the way a friend of mine, Peter, used your latest colouring techniques to finish a box he had turned which was modelled on a Cindy Drozda style. He borrowed my colours as I had picked them up at show recently so he had access to the iridescent colours you used.
      Peter only had one problem and that was on thinning the paint as we did not have any of the MagicFlo thinners although he will have by early next week.
      Keep the videos coming as we like to learn plus we enjoy your humour.
      Regards
      Roger

    We get a really nice view of your wedding band here. A row of princesses and two sets of baguettes- super pretty! Glad you went for yellow gold, too. The way you work, white gold would just be waaay too much hassle. Makes your stones look bigger, too! Tell whoever picked it out they picked out well!

    that last green spot you painted almost looked like flames/ghost flames which is pretty popular. to do this idk if you needed an airbrush. the blower you can put at end of air compressor to blow off your work space would probably work fine at low pressure. . but if you learn to airbrush you can do some crazy airbrushing on your wood. though that is another skill to learn.
