  • Windrock Bike Park has earned its reputation for being the gnarliest mountain bike parks in the U.S. and has become the training grounds for the fastest mountain bike racers in the Country. It's home to some of the steepest natural MTB trails, while having some of the big jumps in the southeast. There aren't many bike parks that intimidate me, but this one does because I know it can easily end your riding season. The last time I rode at Windrock Mountain Bike park was 4 years ago, and I wasn't even on my own bike.

Wow, you are human. You actually crashed in this video and kept it in there. Thanks for keeping it honest for people like me who crash literally every time they go riding! I'm had to become my own bike mechanic to keep the repair costs down. I Love your videos. They inspire me to keep riding, even though I suck compared to you. I have learned some things just watching you ride, and it has helped me become a better rider.

Absolutely love the trails and the continent. At 63 years of age I do not have the physical strength to even attempt to ride like this nor do I have the hand eye coordination anymore. Thank you for what you do. Again absolutely love this video. You rock. Keep it up.

I usually avoid the POV type videos on any topic, but you actually talk your way through them, about the trail, or even about the history of the area you're riding. I enjoy your POV's. There is another rider from B.C. who is very watchable. At 52, and surviving 7 cancer diagnosis, I am looking at getting back on a bike, getting back into shape, and having fun riding bikes. You make it look fun, and honestly, your personality is so friendly, and sincere. Thank You Phil!

You should give mtb a chance should you have the means, you can get yourself out there on a used hardtail for sub $500. I just bought my first bike like 3 weeks ago cause I just got hooked on these vids. Took almost 2 weeks just to get used to biking in general again (been like 6-8 years since I was last on a bike) but, I just went to my local trails for the first time and I'm kinda hooked. Can't wait to travel north this summer to try something with some elevation (I live in Florida, trails literally have like 30 ft of man-made elevation change.)

Phil, you are an absolute legend taking a bent bar like that and still going full send.
I've decided that I'm taking the carbon bars off my bike when I go ride the trails. Carbon bars are really good for cutting down the vibrations on the road and even though mine were cheap, I just can't afford to break them. I'll get some good alloy bars instead. That said, there is some definite maintenance I need to do on my bike before I ride the trails again. My wheels need trued, tensioned, and dished, my shifter/derailleur needs adjustment (really stiff and doesn't shift smoothly to every gear), and my tires have started cracking. My chain also needs a good cleaning, and my brakes also need adjusting.
I do hope you come to sample the trails Boise has to offer, we've definitely got some leg busters here, and Bogus Basin has been expanding their trail options to include some really good jump trails, technical trails, and flow trails, and that's not even including the trails coming down from the mountain. There are also quite a few other trails in the surrounding area that are nice.

That conversation around 9:50 made me look at Phil's sub count, and then I realised I wasn't subscribed. I have literally been watching this channel for years, and I swear I was subbed. I guess you have a "new" subscriber then Phil.

I knew you were going to blow-out that turn on Dropout. I did the exact same thing a couple of weeks ago, and I wasn't going nearly as fast. Great video! The place is far more gnarly than it appears on GoPro, and there are some serious sniper rocks under those leaves. The blind drop off the rock drop was insane.

These natural built trails are great. This is my definition of Mountainbiking. Interesting that you had to put more air in your fork. The suspension has to work perfect here.
I liked the conversations and the rides with all those Interesting people.
This little kid, imagine in 10 years, he is going to be World class. Wow.

Especially one that's over 30 minutes ... His content has been 🔥🔥🔥 this year. Really took it to another level. Praying he goes out west and we get to see some videos from Moab and Sedona.

Yeah, that turn obviously caught be off guard. I misread the terrain, I thought the trail was going continue to follow contour of the hill. By the time I noticed that it was a tighter turn, there wasn't much I could do.

@@SkillsWithPhil Not to worry, you got up and brushed it off and continued...no injuries which is the main thing. Love you content and channel, thanks for taking me places I can't yet get to myself....a wet cold Scotland it will have to be for a while yet!

got a sub from me, brotha. This was the most relaxing video i've seen in a while, outside of listening to specific music. Being 35 (soon), i wouldn't mind getting back on a bike, but i never did any racing or just enjoying sprints around a park. I'm sure IA probably has a few, but i've never looked and I just never have the time to look, let alone get a bike.
That being said, i really enjoyed this video.
