Thanks to everyone that watched! I am loving these work with me LIVE days. If you find them valuable make sure to hit the bell for notifications so you get notified the next time we go live. Cheers!
I throughly enjoyed watching and learning. Just wow! Do you realize how valuable this is? And your son, I just can’t say too much about him, he’s a perfect work partner.
love love love these new style live streams!! Just really enjoy watching you and your family working together and working so hard! nothing fancy needed, its just great content! Thanks so much! Keep them coming!
Love watching these! Love a good family business. I have already learned so much from your deck and shed build videos, and the learning will be put into practice as my timber has arrived for me to build my shed, wish me luck 🍀 😊
@@HomeRenoVisionDIYI know you like to have a few videos in the bank, to relieve stress. I'm wondering how far ahead you are? I remember seeing the shed in the backyard build, and recently the kitchen cabinets with sink install.
Giving advice gives us the ability to understand and questions tonask and what to look for when we get the engineer to this is what I did for my roof and posabble siding projects
You can also help encapsulate asbestos fibers by scoring tile or drywall and spraying (well) the cut or damaged points with approx a 3 or 4 to 1 water and glue solution. My ex husband was certified for asbestos removal, and I suspect I may have forgotten something, but along with construction poly tuck taped to seal the space and a fan placed/sealed in a window or rough opening to the exterior with it positioned to extract fibers vs blowing them around the space, and along with the glue formula, could be used by those who are comfortable with removing their own tiles or drywall/plaster. Oh ya, and use disposable coveralls and proper dual cartridge face mask with filters with specific micron allowance for asbestos. Don't use the standard type with the little elastics that you pull over your head which are meant for nontoxic airborne dusts. We're all exposed to asbestos here and there naturally, but the main danger is for those who have had a lot of exposure.
The easy way to put that header in there depending on how big it is or how long of course would be a hydraulic bottle jack. The new building codes in Texas will not even permit you to use a 2 x 12 if you header is over 6 feet long, await to strengthen that header is to use solid piece of plywood, but I do like your Styrofoam.
I don't understand why you struggled so much with that window. If you're expanding the size, why not just cut out the wood/plywood that holds the window and then lift out the window in the attached bits and deal with detaching it later? At least it's out of the way and saving some time.
I don't know if this helps, but in the previous video he mentioned wanting to preserve the outside of the house as much as possible. He didn't want to damage the sheathing. Cheers!
For what it’s worth, you might be able to adjust your cam settings so that you don’t see the flicker from the LED lights. Maybe you’ve heard that already though. Thanks for the show.
I am replacing my cabin outside walls with plywood and tarpaper thick stuff and then batten 12inches apart ...Instead of the board batten and black particle sound board that is there now ...Because the winows are on top of the board and batten alot of gaps all over so want on pluwood instead ... Plus wire for electricity go from top down not thru walls so going to sprayfoam holes were wire come thru attic...Hope all this works well getting help with project in september or october 2024 less buggs ....
I recall Matt Risinger was also doing tearing apart when he saw dead rats and suddenly decided to just demolish everything and build a new house on the old concrete Hahaha, hope you end up going that way too.
I bought a house and found dry rot in the walls. So, I've torn out 2x4s, replaced insulation, and resealed exterior gypsum board that is used as the exterior barrier, which is covered by a brick wall. I'm wondering how to determine how much dry rot there is in the walls of the house without tearing out drywall every where. Do you have a recommendation?
unfortunately we don't have a set schedule. the live shows will come as needed to move the project along. next week we will ne live from 11 to 3 on wed and friday. keep an eye on the community posts for current information. Cheers!
Love the live stream and knowledge imparted. However, after watching Jeff for several years, it is odd to see him be safety conscious. Hard hat, safety glasses, who is this and what did he do with Jeff?
tell Matt to slow down that's why the house wrap was going up hill he nailed it in with out checking while you were dealing with the corner at the other end
People also need to learn the wisdom of when NOT to tear it apart :-) But, in any case, it'll be a huge learning experience they really need these days of dumbing down education and everything.
Love your content, but that lunch made me get down from the ladder and turn of the sound. Got so angry 😅 i have misophonia😂. That mmm mmmmmm for a minute
That wasted a window that could have been repurposed or reused in a weekend cabin; it's not as if it was an old rotted out window. I'd lose my shit if someone did that to my place without giving a good reason for doing that. Lol imo, that was a wanker move, Jeff!
I am all about production. reusing old materials is not on my list. the time is worth more than the materials. Cheers!.....If i had a cabin build maybe i would think different. Cheers!

You need to give up on them Dewalt gear and get the Red and Black ones.
Milwaukee for the win !🤣

Rats and roaches came back anyway because of the abandoned house nearby.
@@Dino_Buk Not possible with the house he built. you should really check it - it's how all houses should actually be built.
I am actually very happy with the structure and the neighborhood. nothing but moving forward on this project from here. Cheers!
Did he just nail into the stud that he wanted to remove in that corner he was working on? 😀

Still enjoy and appreciate your channel in spite of the choice for that window removal. Lol. That hurt
trying to demonstrate a window expansion without destroying the exterior facade. Cheers!
Another Good Live Stream! 2 Next week?? See ya there! Thank you, Jeff.
Thank you for all your support Sandy! I appreciate how you are helping others while helping us with supporting our channel. You rock. Cheers!

gotta ask why you use foam board in between the headers? I've always used plywood? or it does not matter?

most mistakes happen when we move too fast. LOL. I am pretty sure that it was my fault. Cheers!
@@HomeRenoVisionDIY it happens love your channel I'm going to look into becoming a member
Ohhhh you're going to build a sauna! NICE!
That's the plan! Cheers!
i would love to see putting a larger window in a basement

Everyone watches instructional videos to learn but then tells the expert how to do it.
Hi, whose the builder?
The framers from the 70's is LARRY HAUN, NOT HARRY HUAN LOL - The Very Efficient Carpenter!
That's what i thought I said. Oh well the mouth is not perfect on the best of days. Cheers!
Hubby puts weight & load on me 😂 definitely 2 different things
Jeffs going to have a yard full of nails. Will need someone to go over it with a magnet.
No worries. going to excavate that part of the lawn anyway. Cheers!
At 2:47 ish your video audio started echoing. JFYI “Just for your information.”
growing pains. we fixed it. CHeers!
There are some proper sniping comments on here, I’m sure with so many positive subscribers and patrons you give a damn 😂 😝. Keep the vids coming 🙌🏼
definitely will do. Cheers!
Where is your Gloves Sir?
Didn't Jeff say he was going to turn that 1 stud in the corner?
did it yesterday off camera. Cheers!
why arent you guys using Milwaukee
Matt does. I have always been a dewalt person.
Love your content, but that lunch made me get down from the ladder and turn of the sound. Got so angry 😅 i have misophonia😂. That mmm mmmmmm for a minute
Please wear eye protection at all times!
Half hour to take a window out n it wasn't even attached. Destroyed. Would anybody here as a homeowner be upset?
Jeff wearing PPE, wtf?
It's not a new house, its an old house built in 74, only 1 year older than i am. new is fresh, new has a new smell.
It's new to me and don't worry about the smell. by the time I am done it will have plenty of those new house smell off gases running around. Cheers!
Same video.... Same video.... 😂
I am going to skip the tearing out videos, as anyone can do that. i will be back when you start building back.
so you missed the new studs and sheathing and house wrap. Cheers!
@@HomeRenoVisionDIY Thanks for the response. I will check it out soon when you start putting things back together.
This guy huffs and puffs, way out of breath on every job, like he's about to collapse. Not a good effect.
