  • If you build too close to (or over) your project Property Line you will have SERIOUS issues. So, getting the Property Line in the right place is extremely critical.
    This Revit Tip explains how Property Lines work in Revit and how to place them accurately.
    Part 2 (next week) will focus on getting your building placed onto the site (using your Property Lines) and also making a Property Line Segment TAG from scratch!

    Thank you for this tutorial. You can find the property line tag under civil family folder.

      Haha... Thanks! I didn't look there! It's kinda crazy how Civil guys haven't really adopted Revit yet... probably because Autodesk hasn't made enough civil-friendly tools yet. :/

    Actually Revit ships with a Property Line tag in the Library. It is under Annotations, Civil.

    Hi…thanks for posting…I get message to enter value between 0 deg 00 min 00 seconds and 90 degree 00 min 00 seconds. Please help

    • @miketaylor8211
      @miketaylor8211  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      0-90 is correct. When entering the angles, you have two choices to start… facing North or facing South. Then, you can go from 0 to 90 degrees toward the East or 0 to 90 toward the West. Example: if you are facing North, and If you pass 90 degrees East… then you should have started by facing South.
      See?!!
      I hope this helps.

    hello, some disclosure plans have bearings highert that 90, I got an error while doing it, looks like the value is limited to 90? what to do?

    • @DimeWyldeBilly
      @DimeWyldeBilly 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Subtract 90 from that number. If the number is 127.63, minus 90 leaves you with 37.63. If that angle doesn't work for you, subtract 37.63 from 90, 52.37. It depends on which direction you're coming from. Everything works off of 90 degree angles from true north. More specifically 0, 90, 180, 270, increments of 90 degrees.

    • @miketaylor8211
      @miketaylor8211  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Kevin Mendenhall is correct. Each bearing is either 90 East or West of North..... or it is 90 East or West of South. With all those options, you can point your Property Line in any direction you need. Since 90 plus 90 equals 180 x 2 is 360 degrees. I hope you were able to solve your issue.

    how do you deal with round property line???

    • @miketaylor8211
      @miketaylor8211  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Curved property lines work.. but you have to place a different TAG. The new tag that you will use must show the 'radius' and the length of the curve.
