Ha hahahahahahhahaahha I remember those day but the problem is you’ve just made the delivery with no incident so the people in the office will just send another unit/trailer next time. You done good
Oh yes, that is the problem. You do it once and the next time the office will say "we have delivered there before". Our office say "we have done it before" but, forget that the time before they sent a small rigid with a tail lift as there is not enough space for a 44' trailer and that the customer does not have a forklift.
Held my class 1 for 18 months and got 12 months experience because after 6 months driving I quit due to the 1st two companies I worked for being arseholes and always pushing me to do more., the stress I could hear in your voice reminded me so much of why I quit. Been driving again now for 6 months and much happier just doing agency work like you Raul, so much better cause you can dump them if they are dicks and go work elsewhere.
Been doing easy trunking for almost 12 months, car to c+e. Turned up for work yesterday & got told had to do store deliveries, no advice on locations no risk assessment to look at guys normally go out for a week to learn the route. Your first delivery was literally me yesterday struggling like hell trying to get in a tiny Iceland yard. It took me 45 mins & once I’d managed it the tail lift decided to pack up 😂
In a perfect world the planner should be checking the customers out before you even get there. To save time for you and the company and also potential damage to the truck.
Small/medium sized businesses should be fined if there so called yards are not big enough for a full size HGV as its a very serous breach of health and safety and also my question is where were the banksman/woman to help out?
I deliver the burgers 🍔 and fries 🍟 to Maccy D's. Reversing full trailer into car parks whilst impatient car drivers try and sneak past the rear as you're creeping in. Good fun. It is what it is, a job's a job and money is money.

They were going ; 'tell us what trees you need taken down Driver' I bet the next bloke that turned up they were saying ' bigger things than you get down there, Driver'. I just discovered your channel, today. I've watched 6 videos so far and I'm impressed. I like the way you go about it, no nonsense, no clickbait, just to the point and showing what's important. None of this "Stranded on the M25 for 948 hours with no water and a broken down truck, my family will all DIE!" rubbish, when in reality they were just a bit low on fuel and got sort of stuck in a traffic jam for 18 seconds. Good stuff! Subbed!
Ive been a long time Subscriber, I also currently Work for Langdons. They Enjoy sending you with an Artic Where only rigids should go. Well done for getting it into there !!
Just love the POV videos. Very fun to watch and got me inspired trying it out in an okayish game simulator haha. I bought another drive wheel to try it on ETS2 again. And now doing the actual reversing back parking each delivery through Truckers MP multiplayer mode. First time round it was a nightmare and that is me doing a U-Turn in a big yard so I can set the truck straight for an easy reverse into the dock. I can only imagine how hard it is for small business deliveries with tiny roads and yards in real life. PROPER NIGHTMARE!
Imagine what it was like in the 70s, worse yards than that, no power steering, definitely no health and safety, loved the job every drop an adventure 😂
Good driving. Similar level to what is required for the HGV test, so no problem in todays trucks with auto gearboxes, great steering bags of power etc. Have to be able to drive under all conditions, and not drive yourself into trouble or let the red mist get the better of you. Thats the job, and not everyone that passes the test can do it long term. Stay calm, dont be afraid to get out and look, no problem to a confident driver
i was thinking to get HGV license to work as truck driver, but jeeez!, not in UK! too narrow streets! to much stress! to low wages! Anyway! good luck with your work Raul! keep up the good job!
Raul, you have managed the backing up nicely and it just proofed your awesome skills. Well done 👏. Can't imagine the US truckers doing these tiny places 🙂. I used to do for many years supermarkets Ahold/ Albert deliveries in the Czech Republic and I actually loved it..
I got my first class one job the very recently and I hope that soon I can reverse as good as you top notch bit of driving your standard of reversing is what I'm going to strive to replicate😊
Logistics officers that can't drive is the problem. Mmate drove for 20 years as a independent contractor for a bakery, so all paper work, sales, routes where his job as well as delivery. In his current job he is sole driver, but when the logistics officer say he is just a driver when he questions why he is being sent to addresses he knows aren't suitable for his lorry he loves telling them he can do their job but they can't do his.
Absolutely brilliant vlog as always Raul 👌 Many thanks!! Wow, what an absolute joke!!! As always though, you executed it perfectly!!! Best wishes to you & your family 🙏
I would of taken pics and cancled the job. F that, they need to get that on a 7.5 or 18tonne max. Happy i got into tankers, although some petrol forecourts are tight, you dont have to deal with this type of BS
What I hate more than anything in places like this is they buy boulders and everything just to annoy you even more. It is like they want you to damage the unit! Also Actros is always the same with indicators. Rubbish Mercedes. I think they must stretch the cables more than other trucks.
Absolute joke . You know the planners are clueless also ! This industry is so underpaid for the stress and skills required by the drivers . I’ve seen class 1 advertised at £12 an hour in Shrewsbury . Ridiculous
