Started listening to Bloody Kisses as a 13-14 year old girl and it just went from there. Such unique feeling when you listen to this voice. I remember coming home from work one day and my best friend breaking the news to me. I cried for days... it was such a huge dream of mine to see ToN live. Now, 20 years from the first time I heard ToN I still get the same feeling. I can't describe it.
Anomalyah, I saw them live back in the 90's three times....I can tell you it was unlike any other show I've ever seen. Peter's voice was just phenomenal, addictive, and mesmerizing. It literally blew me away to experience them live. What a shame this incredibly talented man is no longer here with us. RIP Peter Steele & Type O Negative...Gone but not forgotten...Still have my Bloody Kisses cassette! 💜

I remember hearing this for the first time late '94/early '95 on ZROCK radio in Poughkeepsie, NY. I was really surprised Type O would cover Seals & Crofts.
Type O Negative opened for Ozzy Osborne at South Park Meadows in Austin TX in May 4, 96. Peter Steele was a giant on stage when he sang this song, I witnessed an entire crowd of heavy metal rockers melt.
Must have been amazing. Experiences like those at concerts happen I know that I'm having what I would call a religious experience.

Jim Seals ( of Seals and Crofts), one of the writers of this song died on June 7, 2022. He was 80. Had Peter been alive, this news would have made him sad. Yup, Everything Dies. :'(

I'm a fan of both versions of this song. Type O & Isley bros. Classics.
There are many versions of it. The original was by Seals & Crofts, who wrote it. The Isley Brothers covered it, in addition to Type O, and a number of other artists over the years.

I just discovered this song. Never heard it before until I heard it on a rock station, then never heard it again. Damn Peter Steele...that voice...kinda creepy and seductive at the same time. It's a shame that he's no longer with us. Definitely woulda been a fan.

I remember buying October Rust used at a local music store when I was about 16-17 in 2000-2001. And wanting Bloody Kisses. Cant remember if I ever got Bloody Kisses but thats why I love TH-cam so much. Love You To Death is my favorite Type O song.

Pete Steele was a an original. Carnivore to Type O. He always put on a good show he will be missed. He actually hit me with his Monte Carlo back 1985 on Gravesend road in Brooklyn. It was my fault cause I ran the light on a bicycle. He was freaked out and pissed because my ass broke his windshield. But we shook hands and went on our way. He was the garbage man in my neighborhood back in the day too. RIP Pete.

I used to have the IKWYDLS soundtrack. I've been strangely nostalgic for the movie lately...curious to see if it has held up. I know it was just sort of riding the coattails of Scream back in the day, but I thought it was enjoyable.

Hello Guys and Girls... been a big Type O Negative since the early 90s. Love to read all the comments from Goth wannabes late 90s onwards. Never heard of the The Cure? Goths have been around for a very very long time and Pete and the band was just a very small part. No need to argue and fight over such things. Just glory in living at a time when so many creative musicians are around and allowed to express themselves.
