LYRICS
I went looking for trouble
And boy
I found her...
She's in love with herself.
She likes the dark
On her milk white neck.
The Devil's mark.
It's all Hallows Eve.
The moon is full.
Will she trick or treat?
I bet she will.
She will.
Happy Halloween.
She's got a date at midnight
With Nosferatu.
Oh baby, Lilly Munster.
Ain't got nothing on you.
Well when I called her evil
She just laughed.
And cast that spell on me.
Boo Bitch Craft.
Yeah you wanna go out
'cause it's raining and blowing.
You can't go out
'cause your roots are showing.
Dye 'em black.
Dye 'em black.
Black black black black No. 1
Black black black black No. 1.
Little wolf skin boots
And clove cigarettes.
An erotic funeral
For which she's dressed.
Her perfume smells like
Burning leaves.
Everyday is Halloween.
Yeah you wanna go out
'cause it's raining and blowing.
You can't go out
'cause your roots are showing.
Dye 'em black.
Dye 'em black.
Black black black black No. 1
She dyes'em black
Black black black black No. 1
Black No. 1.

Peter Steele looks more like a Vampire than Dracula Himself
2 meters full of vampire!
Man, that's sucks that Van Helsing came out in 2004 and not in 1993 when this song aired on TV
Which is a bit ironic as he died from sepsis
woulda done it better than sir christopher lee
unless dracula is cristopher lee ;-)

The dude headbanging on the piano is the most metal thing I've ever seen.....

Yep. And the fact that the harpsichord (piano?) plays the beginning of the tune of Adams Family is funny, too. 3:10
The pitch of Peter Steele's voice is lower than my self-esteem.

The iconic Peter Steele eye roll. Type O Negative is such an underrated band. This is true '90's goth rock.
@Mariana D'Amelio layne had the best voice I’ve ever heard in my opinion, so raw and truly tortured
Not underrated it took a certain group of grunge and Early goth listeners to Remember this such as myself, most modern Goth bands took there influence from this EPIC band
Peter didn't like it to be called Goth. I know it does seem like it is but Peter was not a "goth"
He and the other members said they considered themselves just some dudes from Brooklyn who played doom type metal. Or something similar he said. They mentioned many times how they are not Goths.
They are a metal band
2022 mate
it's a nuclear war coming, but you know what?
fuck it, since we have Type-0-N
Christian Death did it better, but these guys are good too!
Hard to believe. Peter was once a garbage disposal worker. Started Type O Negative. This guy was a huge guy. Pure muscle. His voice and talent still to this day untouched. Peter Steele. Always in our hearts and minds.
His thrash band before this was cool too
👍💕🔥
He worked for the Parks department and loved his job, he didn’t even wanted to quit it for going on tour because he hated all of the rockstar shit.
The One and ONLY...Peter Steele!!!...may you still rest in peace. U're truly missed!🖤💚🖤
@annaby7 Also, he loved taking care of the them! 💚
2024 still beautiful.
Crazy how he made this song up in his head while stuck in traffic working his trash hauling job. 🥶
He was fighting off vampire killers bro. Get it right
He loved his civilian job more than he liked touring.
He was in Carnvore during the trash job
Peter Steele was 6'7" of gothic teddy bear. I had to get on my tiptoes to hug him and yes it was magical. What a sweetie he was. Big heart. Literally.

We will never get music like this anymore....The golden age of metal!
Here!Here!
These were the good days
Sad but true.
Most people say metal peaked in the 80s with early metalica but I argue 90s metal like SOAD, pantera, death, necrophagist, type O negative was the real artistic peak of this genera

Just discovered this band, better late than never.
This song came up in my recommendations today, first time ever hearing them. Nice that classic stuff like this can find a whole new audience decades later.

A friend of mine and I went all over Japan in early 90's so he could buy the CD just for this specific song. Yes, we found it, yes in English, and yes I was in awe from the moment we listened to about 953 times on the drive back to the Air Base. He was military, I was there with my parents. I still love those days.

Hello friend
Hello there

The self-aware gothic satire in the lyrics was no doubt lost on many a teenager in the 90s. Great song.
Phunky Monkee… You just answered my question.. 👍😁
What wasnt lost on me in the 90's. Newflash, every teenager is an ignorant dumbass until they reach the age of 30 and then add on 5 more yrs of getting xp.
Not quite. Perhaps not as much when it first came out, but us TON fans had a good laugh at the posers who thought Marilyn Manson was the be-all end-all of goth when we knew there was so much more.
I was born in 88, definitely in certain parts of the country this was 90s apparel. I was just watching uncle buc the other day. That came out in 88 and I saw the high-schoolers wearing this shit. I would ask my bro, he was born in 76 but I'm not sure alot of people dressed like this in Riverside, Buffalo, NY 😂
Still lost on teenagers nowadays
I love how he's playing an upright bass like a regular bass guitar
Dude was 6'8. He could do it no problem. Anyone that isn't a giant couldn't do it
Hahaha I was just admiring that 🖤 Peter was so bad ass
Takes quite a bit of skill and power to do that!
Sure he could do it with the fish too
super-human
The little touches in the song, the munsters little sample in there, the Addams family clicking fingers sample. In the longer version Peter says ‘sacre bleu ‘ at one point which I am sure is a reference to Morticia Addams. The whole thing is brilliant and perhaps my favourite Type O song which is saying something as a lot of the others are also brilliant.
he says "cyka blyat" not sacre bleu
Just realized it's April 19 & thought 'oh shit! Been 14 years, Peter...miss you'

Peter Steele looked imposing and vampiric but according to the rest of the band and other rock musicians like Tony Iomi he was the nicest kindest man you could ever have hope to meet. Rest in peace Peter Steele you genius
Every show I went to 29 years ago, there was lines of groupies trying to get back stage during the whole show, just to lick his flesh. And they all were wearing Catholic School Girl uniforms... I was 20, just eating that shit up! Yes, he was the real deal
He was also a Park Ranger before he was a panty dropper also..He was a 7 foot truth teller!
racist, misogynistic? how do you know?

I met Peter in Hollywood Ca at the Whisky Go Go in 1990. He was very intimating looking. He was freaking huge!!!, Way over 6ft tall!!!, But once I got past that, he was an incredibly nice person. He didn't treat me like I was a weirdo fan, we just talked like two normal people. It was awesome!!!!
Aaww love it when stars are like that. 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 makes you treasure the memory forever. 🖤🖤🖤🖤
I wish I could have met him
Lucky you got to hang out with him! Closest I ever got was when I went to see Type-O play and sat on the stage to try and avoid the moshing that had broken out on the floor (I'm a petite woman). He accidentally stepped on my leg, looked down toward me and said, "Oh, Sorry". That 2 seconds of direct contact and acknowledgement was awesome for ME. LOL!!
Hung out with him in 91 after a L'Amour's east show BK b4 they got famous. Down to earth are the words.
I met him in a night club called Birch Hill in Marlboro NJ way before they were so famous..I was so starstruck all I could mumble out of my stupid mouth was "nice hat" omg! I was mortified!
This band simply kicks ass. As soon as the guitar starts chugging, you know they mean business. That voice, harpsichord, the look... fucking shit is so smooth man.
