there's a crazy youtube channel called "NORA JP Fishing. Expedition" the guy has a 8 foot BIC yes bic like the lighter boat he goes out and camps with and does everything you could imagine for fishing and camping with this little boat... and he in in freaking japan wich is cool as heck...another channel is rokkit kit who has a small like 8 foot inflatable boat aswell but its big enough to go into the ocean and catch monster fish or take to a island with camping gear and do a 3 night camp with fishing and cooking fresh fish on the beach... i have a jon boat and yeah i wouldnt take it out through haulover even with a good bilge... your boat can get swamped and still be operable
Rokkit started at around the same time I did, he found something popular that he enjoys that's cool, fishing videos haven't done it for me, kayaks and small plastic boats do work
Hey Alex, two suggestions. One, take the FREE State of Florida online boating class. You’ll learn a lot about boating rules and tips operating a boat. Two, when tying off into bushes, I found a clip like you would find from jumper cables works great! You can pick them up at a hardware or auto parts store. I use one when I’m kayak diving in the kelp to hold my kayak in place while I’m on a dive. Great video! Looking forward to more!

That polycraft is also one of my ideal boat to have in the future.. But now im more good with kayak. It's absolutely portable that you can easily put on top of your car wherever you want to fish
Since you mentioned your son have you tried the Nucanoe Unlimited with 2 360 seats? I believe it holds 600 lbs which would hold you and him! god bless and love your videos

It's nice but that price is crazy huge you could get a pelican raider trolling motor and a outboard, trailer and still money left the hull alone is just 3500... they need make them affordable or they gonna lose people to other alternatives it seems more stable but for the price trailer everything you could get a jon boat and deck it out for the 6k+ for the trailer. If they ever came down reasonably I'd buy one just took insane high
These boats have just become available in the UK i am thinking of replacing my inflatable boat with one of these tuffy's I currently have a 6hp mercury outboard do you think this will push this boat along OK? Also what sort of trailer is best for using with this boat. Keep up the great vids
I almost bought the 300 tuffy and spec’d out a 410 Challenger. God damn, the price and performance/ Storage was lacking huge. $25-27k for a 50 HP 410. I’m good. I’m happy with my Ranger RT 188P. $32k and I have all the bells and whistles. Butt loads of storage and 115HP. Not the fastest boat out there but 45 mph is fast enough.

I had a Polycraft 300 and found it very unstable at anchor. Sold it and got a whaly 340 and found it to be the boat I thought the poly would be. Plus I found when I had issues with the poly, Polycraft would not help. And I'm Australian
@@AliexFolgueira I only weigh 80kg but I usually fish with another person. One person and this boat is ok, two people and i found it to be unstable. I've had 3 people in the whaly and it was super stable
I would say kayak killer. More like Jon boat killer. Kayak still has its advantages. No trailer needed, don't need a boat ramp, don't have to register it or perform 100 hour engine maintenence every year. They're both great in their own but non comparable between the two
@@AliexFolgueira Yea, I'd just like to see underneath the deck to see if there is bracing molded in there. If nothing else they should release a "fishing" model with that and maybe some rod holders, bow mount trolling motor bracket and plano box holders. Would be a perfect fishing machine then.

yeah been there done that, not gonna work. Just because a kayak holds 600 pound it doesn't mean it comfortably holds 600 pounds, waters comes in easy

I sold my kayaks when got a good motor
Superboat, but, for your "way of use" you'll have a better experience with an old, cheap, reliable, light weight and easy manteinance 2 stroke engine.

The biggest turn-off for me is no pedestal fishing seat. That's a no-go for me.

Cool boat but 3500? Idk too much, motor is a few thousand trailer is a few thousand, 8 grand for a plastic boat is too much
