Those were the questions posed by immigration officials to the son of the late boxing legend Muhammad Ali earlier this month when he flew into Florida from Jamaica after attending a Black History Month event. When Muhammad Ali Jr. said he was a Muslim, authorities reportedly held him and questioned him for over two hours. Ali was traveling with his mother, Khalilah Camacho-Ali, the boxing great’s second wife and mother of his four oldest children. She was also detained. We speak to them and their attorney, Chris Mancini.

my family travel to the US every 18 months for our Company's convention... we're Muslim. many of our names hv the word Muhammad in them. every time we enter the US, some of us are held for questioning. and we always miss the company's pick up transportation because of that. One time, the whole bunch of us were held for several hours. Once a friend and his family were held at least 5 hours. and he had his wife and two children together on that trip. During these hold ups, they basically dont do anything. they just ask us to sit in the question room, they ask us some questions about out trip, and usually our parents. they even asked me how my parents met. Both my parents have passed away for a long time now. so tht was a weird question for me. then they tell us to sit. and just wait. Indefinitely. And dont try to ask them any questions. One time i asked them how long I had to wait because i was going to miss my connecting flight. and the officer just glared at me and told me that if I asked him any more questions... for sure i was gonna miss my next flight! That's US immigration for you. And this was years before Trump. i just imagine its gonna get much worse now. haha! My family and my team who are some of the top distributors in the company hv decided tht if the next time we get into any more trouble, we'll stop making the regular US trips. our Company is of course worried to hear that from us..., but if the US immigration cant show basic respect & decency to people, we really hv no choice. Best to avoid having to face the nauseating experience over and over again.
Then move your businesses out if U.S and setup somewhere more hospital to your color & religion.

Its 5 prayers throughout the day and the longest a prayer could take is maybe 10 minutes but it could take 5 minutes if you pray fast. On Manchester airport in 2009 they were questioning me for 1 hour although I was just just a 16 year old kid traveling with my father to meet my brother studying in UK.

My father went through an ordeal like this. He’s a US citizen as well, and a pious Muslim. This is not surprising
when i came to Melbourne for the first time in 2013, at the airport, one of the officer headed me to a table, asking me my name, my address in Melbourne, and my reasons coming to Melbourne. I came with some friends for starting our study there and I was the only one being asked such questions at the airport. Then I realized the reasons for all is that I have arabic names on my name.

Happened to me. Caucasian. Wearing headscarf. Hawaii airport. 2001. Detained for five hours. Had my suitcase poured onto the conveyor belt and interrogated for every single thing including the giant sized officer (male) held up my bras and panties into the air while a 'wide' woman officer interrogated me further saying that pieces of paper where secret messages (a shopping list and it was not in short form or any kind of code, it was written in plain English script) .... five hours they detained me! Very nasty attitude, insinuating all kinds of weird things. Even when tears welled up when I said I hadn't seen my family for 18 years, the heartless woman didn't blink an eye and kept firing me with ridiculous questions and insinuations like a machine gun, often non stop without allowing me to answer.
Yep all muslims have to go through this any color

As Muslim, i was invited three times to University conferencies in the USA. Each, time, i was retaned at aiport for an interrogation which lasted a little more than two two hours.

I have never been asked my religion at an airport but I was actually asked about my sex life by 2 security, male & female at Kingston airport while my bag was being searched. I was stunned
what did they want to sleep with you? why ask that
@Larsson They couldnt understand why I was a young female travelling to Kingston Jamaica on my own. Thought I must have been travelling for drug reasons, but I have friends there & wanted to visit. While going through my suitcase looking for something illegal, they asked me was I visiting a boyfriend, I said no, then asked if I had a girlfriend, I said no, Im single. Then went on to ask me if Im single, how to I get pleasure, do I satisfy myself. I was in shocked. Later then checked my bag again, really suspicious of me even though they found nothing, so made me do a urine test before letting me go. I reported them & nothing was done. I was reported to Gatwick airport by Jamaica & was searched again on arrival to London....crazy
@@meissareacts1914 I dont know what they were trying to do, maybe intimidate me or throw me off so that they could place something in my bag while I wasnt paying attention, but I kept my eyes on my case at all times, but I was in shocked. If I dont have a boyfriend, I must be a lesbian & when I said I wasnt & was single, they asked me if I pleasure myself. Jamaican security but head of them was an English man & he made them check my case twice & have a urine test for drugs. I was clean & they finally had to let me go, but then reported me to Gatwick London & when I arrived, they checked me also
