- It was a friendship that blossomed into a romance. Muhammad Ali and his second wife, Khalilah, were married for nearly a decade and were known as the Barack and Michelle Obama of the 60s and 70s.

@@jamesjohnson8544 Unfortunately, prior to the 80s, it was acceptable for an adult to marry 16-17 year old girls. And many of the men were older than 24. In some states 16 is the age of consent so there are no legal consequences. I have read that at least one woman said he started a relationship with her when she was under 17.
