I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give thanks for the great contributions of the black community to our society. Their peaceful and generous nature makes them ideal neighbors, lending testimony to their exceptional family values and parenting skills unrivaled by any other culture. Their child-raising practices and skills mixed with their unparalleled work ethic are second to none. Their rational and logical thought toward circumstances coupled with their innate capability to de-escalate situations is to be envied and coveted. Their commitment to academic excellence enriches our schools and serves as an example to all who hope to achieve prominence as a people. Real estate values are fueled by the mix of African-Americans into an area due to their caring and respectful nature of these communities, an example of all they have achieved through their enthusiasm for self-improvement, hard work and a self-reliant nature. Without their industrious and creative drive, we would be poorer as a nation.

@Dante Carroll Frazier hurts every time he thinks of Ali. His hostility still rages within. It's a consuming, ugly bitterness he has carried for decades, the result of the hurtful things Ali has said. He insulted his intelligence, his character and his lack of black pride. Ali called Frazier ugly and ignorant and, most disturbingly, an Uncle Tom. Frazier, the son of South Carolina sharecroppers, was deeply wounded by Ali's ridicule which was accepted as socio-political fact and isolated Frazier from the black community.
Ali somehow succeeded in making a fight between two African - American men a matter of black and white. Throughout the black community, he was an object of derision and scorn because of the way Ali treated him, it was cruel. The hatred grew intensely within Frazier. He was unable to compete with Ali's eloquence, but he had a left hook that could do the talking for him. Frazier, with loating in his heart and thunder in his Everlast gloves, punished Ali for the things he said.
Notice after Ali vs Frazier 1 fight announcers said Frazier was feeling sic in his corner and he just wanted to go back to dressing room. That's because Joe couldn't slow his heart and nervous system back down to a resting state. Joe already had history of high blood pressure and diabetes, he spent nearly two weeks in the hospital for exhaustion, blood pressure, diabetes and kidney problems..
BUT BUT when he was in his 40s Joe was out dancing and singing in the clubs while Ali couldn't talk and his tremors were getting worse. Younger folks haven't a clue what Ali actually did to Joe, let me explain by saying it's exactly like today's Hollywood liberal cancel culture. Frazier hated that Louisville Lip and before fight he got on his knees and prayed to God that he could make Ali perish.
Personally i have to admit, everytime Frazier smacked Ali i cheered, WE ALL CHEERED 👋👋👋👋👋👋 MILLIONS CHEERED.

Not only was Ali right about the war, but he put his money - and his freedom - where his mouth is. He accepted the consequences of his refusal to participate in the war, consequences to his boxing career and that lost wealth, and the specter of prison. @MrMarco855 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Where was Muhammad Ali going to hide? He had hopes of returning to the ring. Hiding would have ended those hopes. Nobody knows what his reasons were for refusing service. He may have been scared, it may have been religious belief, nobody knows except him. If you don't go because you're scared of dying of course you can't admit that so you have to make up an excuse. Most don't consider it heroic to refuse to go to war when called.
In hindsight the war was crap but we didn't know the particulars at the time. Whatever he lost regarding his career can't be considered a sacrifice because 56,000 sacrificed their lives and hundreds of thousands came back physically compromised. Many others returned mentally compromised and were scorned as if the war was their fault even tho' they had no choice but to serve. A lot of suffering all the way around but at the time, deserters/those who refused to go weren't viewed as taking a stance against the war, rather, as cowards and unpatriotic.
All of us prefer no war and it's true the government goes to war for reasons kept to themselves. They're evil in that it's primarily a way for a handful ofbdemons to make money, a sick excuse to sacrifice other childrens lives.

At this point in Ali's life every word he spoke in public could come back at him with terrible repercussions. He may not have joined in the fiasco overseas, but the tragic loss of Sam Cooke and Malcolm X, and moderate black leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr marked him as a probable target. @David McWhy would I attack you. You said Ali retreated from his stance on the war. I said I don't think he ever did. Then you bring up the Supreme Court, moving the discussion to something unrelated. I just asked to see where and when Ali changed his--smart and righteous--decision on the war and his good decision not to participate. You are using the logical fallacy called the red herring fallacy.

Just wanted to share with some people who didn’t know - his star on Hollywood’s walk of fame isn’t on the ground b/c he felt like that would be disrespectful to the prophet. Such humility man it’s insane. We took people like him for granted. Edit: He also said I am the greatest! Once he was struggling with Parkinson's he said god reminded I'm not the greatest but he is.

@Balkan Wolf no there are no such orders... It is the love towards our Holy Prophet (P. B. U. H) that muslim keep beard.

@Balkan Wolf There are different opinions on this matter by scholars. And in any case, him not fulfilling an Islamic obligation does not mean that he is disrespecting the Prophet. It would only be a shortcoming of his as a Muslim.

@Balkan Wolf Hello sir , could I if you please clear that point for you ?
Actually we have a lot of kinds of holy orders but in general too simplify it for you we can sort them into 2 types :
      A) duty or obligation >> that you have to do (like pray , fasting and some other things)
      B) prophetal tradition >> that you would be better if you did but won't be bad if you didn't .
simply they are like MUST Vs SHOULD in English grammer
