Low and behold, about three and a half years after this video, they are professionally recording Newsies in LA with most of the original cast.
9 members of the original cast. It's such a beautiful performance. I cried more from the nostalgia of it all than the actual content. XD

Wow. I never realized that I JUST missed Andrew as Crutchie. That's alright though... I absolutely adore Andy as Crutchie. I got to see it four times and it was incredible and perfect. I love this show so much. It will ALWAYS be my favorite. #NewsiesForever

2018 and it is still a huge musical. In fact I have auditions for a 9-15 performance of newsies
8 years later, this is put in my recommendation page. I was a senior in high school when Newsies opened on Broadway. It took me until 2017 when the proshot came to movie theaters to embrace what an epic musical Newsies is.
okay so I absolutely hate it when people comment 'whos watching in 2017' or whatever but the amount of pride I feel in the fact that the 'fansies' are watching this in 2017 and that this is legacy of the newsies film just makes me so happy and newsies will never die even though it gets so much shit so I'm sorry but... whos watching in 2017 and proud as fuck at how far this came?

This almost instantly made my eyes fill with tears. I remember the first time I saw Newsies (the film) and thinking it was absolutely brilliant. I remember when I found out they were turning it into a actual musical and I remember the smile I couldn't wipe off my face when I finally got to see it on Broadway.I hope Newsies is on Broadway for many years to come. Fantastic job guys! Forever a fan.

That's crazy that it's been 2 years already since this show came to broadway! I have heard so much about it and it looks really good! I have always wanted to see a broadway show like wicked or this one. Over christmas I saw the rockettes but I would love to see an actual play

Whenever I watch Newsies videos, I find myself frantically searching for Mike Faist because he's my favourite. But he wasn't in this and yet I was like "WHERE'S MIKE?" :c I miss him. Still love all the other guys though but aw.

Wow! This honestly made my cry! Seeing footage of Jeremy and Andrew talking about leaving the show broke my heart! When I saw the show in July, both of their performances inspired me so much as an actor! The show is an absolutely STUNNING piece of theatre and I recommend that everyone go see it! Congrats to the entire cast and crew a fabulous year and hopefully MANY more to come! All my love! Keep carrying the banner, guys!

I am so proud of all the newsies I love this show and all the boys so much. They deserve to run for 10 years and more! They are so talented and this show so amazing! Everything about the show is fanstatstic!! Also happy trails to Andrew and I hope the newsies last forever!!

Let me TELL YOU NOW the montage at the end made me cry. i remember some of my fav sytycd dancers being a part of the show. The show as a hole just makes me so happy. Newsies is on my list of must see shows someday. I'm going to make a point to see it someday.

And now it's been 5 years ago that Newsies was on Broadway. To me it felt like it was last year or 2015. I grew up watching the movie version of Newsies and now I can grow up with the Broadway version.

I wish I had continued in musical theater :/ Some of my fondest memories came from my childhood, when I played Michael in Peter Pan, wish I had kept it up, I would have loved to be part of the Newsies.
