DeWalt Flexvolt Motor Teardown

Teardown of a Dewalt flexvolt miter saw motor which i found at a dumpster near a electronics repair shop. The control circuit had a blown component near the battery management connector.

I'm a bit concerned about all the brushless tools with capacitors that can go bad in a few years, compared to brushed tools.

Did you get an ESC for this motor? If so what were the specs on the ESC and also do you have any thoughts on powering this motor on mains ac power?
