Since he has no ability to use the Nimbus Cloud, when Master Roshi has to get somewhere, he rides on a baby Gamera; unfortunately, since it also spins wildly as it flies, he often ends up feeling seasick when he arrives.
I think this would be my favorite Chibi-Godzilla design. Just the right amount of devilish monster look and the right amount of Japanese Mascot keychain look. I'm digging those banks (also noticed a Garbage Pail Kid and Sonic in the prototype display). Also 2:08, second to last sticker on the bottom, I appreciate that Godzilla's stolen Iyami pose is finally matched up with Iyami's catchphrase when in said pose "SHEEEEEEHHHHH!!!"

I use that version of Chibi Godzilla as my icon. It is one of my favorite chibi designs. I have two Godzilla plushies of him. They were both SK Japan-exclusive one was a beanbag prize from a Pottery Otedama and the other one was a mini plush from an amusement park.
Its no surprise that the merchandise went crazy once Hideaki Anno touched the franchise. That man would sell Evangelion branded opioids if he could get the liscense
I picked up a bag of the Shin Godzilla rice puffs in Tokyo back in 2019 (they were pretty good), and interestingly, the bag is actually a sort of "playset". Dotted lines on the bag seem to suggest cutting out Godzilla and a handful of fire trucks, etc. from the paper (which is an unfoldable wrapping over a plain foil bag) and setting up a little scene from the film's finale, with the person-shaped little rice puffs running around in terror. I could imagine a little kid having like three minutes of fun with that. I didn't cut mine out (I folded up and saved the bag) but I might mess around trying to scan it so I can print it out and do separate cutouts out of a more rigid card stock.

You did a great deep dive-so many more instances of this design than I had seen before, and I feel a bit ashamed I didn’t know there was more to that Lotteria campaign than I had covered back in the day! There was chibi Godzilla artwork in the Godzilla VS Symphogear crossover. If you ever get to talk about the Symphogear crossover on your channel, that’d be a good thing to look at.

Had I known that the bag clips counted, I would've submitted a photo of the one I got, which was the Godzilla eating the train. Turns out it and the Planet X Controller were the two rare 'chase' figures of that set.

Oh those chibis are everywhere in cali. Had the bank zilla for years already. You can find them in any mall. I think there was a macaroon store that had a colab with these lil guys. There are some anime/collector stores that have em. Hell hot topics and spencer's stores have em.
I have a massive pin of this chibi Godzilla and the place I got him is actually pretty cool. It's at a mall right next to Disney land that has spooky events when it's Halloween and more. There's a collectibles store that sells Godzilla merch and I couldn't resist this guy as a pin. Had to get him😂
I have collected all if not most of the Lanyards! They come with a bag clip charm of monsters! Including a Space Godzilla! They also have a little ID card explaining the monsters biography.
I got a Godzilla bank myself, I named him Goji, and he is my little buddy I feed when I have some spare change. Makes me wish the coin slot was in his mouth, but I still love him lots!
I found the Lanyard collection that uses this Chibi godzilla. It has Millennium, Shin, Space, Mecha, and 90s godzilla also rodan, mothra, and king Ghidorah
These are allot like the Evergreen Transformer deigns. They where made to be a generic deisgns Hasbro and other companies can use for general merch like clothes, party supplies, and cheap toys, just non-specific designs you can look at and go “oh yeah that’s an Optimus Prime” Some artists even slightly change them or are inspired by them like some of the Cyberverse designs just like the similar Godzilla art

Honestly I think he might be my favorite of all the official Chibi Gojis I’ve seen, he’s the perfect mix of film accuracy and cuteness/simplicity.
